  1. Would Diggs be worth much more than Keenan Allen? Chargers received a fourth round pick from the Bears. Don't see us getting a first round pick if Diggs was traded.
  2. Couldn't Diggs be traded with a June 1st designation?
  3. It is just not the Bills that have been investing a lot of money in their d-line. Look at what the 49ers are doing and all of the activity so far in free agency for DTs and Defensive Ends.
  4. If we can only restructure Josh's contract once for this season, then I would be shocked if we signed Armstead or any other significant free agent at this point. The remaining amount that was available for the restructure seems to be the only realistic avenue to make this happen given the other holes that need to be addressed.
  5. We still have significant needs. It is unlikely that our draft picks will fill all remaining holes as starters, part-time players or back-ups. Would have to think that additional bargain basement free agents will be signed, but they will not be upgrades compared to what we had last season.
  6. I can believe that Pegula has placed cash restrictions on spending this offseason. He has a lot of financial obligations with the new stadium and with the renovations to the KeyBank Center. Could explain why Josh's contract was not fully restructured. If true, really bad time for this given our need for restructures to have cap space to be competitive this season.
  7. Still a lot of holes and very little money available to spend because of the cap. Particularly concerned about the d-line, but a long way to go until the first game is played and many more moves will happen before then.
  8. A lot of DTs reached agreement with teams during the day yesterday, and with our limited cap space, it may be that Jones was one of the best options remaining in our price range.
  9. Have to believe that there are more restructurings and/or extensions coming so that we have enough cap space to fill out the roster. Hope there are not more releases.
  10. At this point, to field a competitive team, the Bills will need to restructure Allen and probably others. It is weird that the Allen restructure has not happened yet. Is it possible that they are working on an extension of his current contract?
  11. The listed weight for Chop Robinson is wrong. It is 254 and not 354. Still has strong measurables.
  12. Even with a restructuring of Josh's contract, will we even have enough cap space to sign bargain basement free agents? Seems that we have a lot of roster spots to fill, particularly on defense, after releases and expiring contracts. Our draft will supply some of the needed players, but we will need significantly more.
  13. I think it just will be some fillers and a couple drafted. We will need a new starting DE and DT (and a bunch of reserves since we are losing at least six defensive linemen due to expiring contracts). Miller will share in the snaps with the starting DE opposite Rousseau. Weird that almost all of our d-line from last season will be gone for this season.
  14. I would have thought that the Bills would try to re-sign Jones, but another poster stated that there has been no reach out by the Bills.
  15. I probably just overreacted on the Rapp signing.
  16. Don't like this at all. With all of the options available at safety in free agency, one would think we could have done better.
  17. I know we will need our picks this year to fill holes, but I would trade up to get Thomas in the first round. Think Rice would be a good pick as a physical WR for the Bills, but in the later rounds. Also like Pearsall a lot.
  18. Love that Worthy ran a second time to get the record. Awesome run.
  19. Why did Mitchell transfer to Texas from Georgia? Thomas looked really smooth running the 40. I wish we could draft that guy.
  20. I am impatient as well, but I think the best we can hope for would be the re-signing of Jones before free agency and maybe a couple of extensions (Dawkins and Johnson).
  21. If the Bills start shopping him, teams might assume that he will released if there is not a trade partner and wait for that to happen.
  22. I thought our defense was noticeably improved after Douglas was acquired. Even if Elam can develop, seems to make sense to me extend Douglas to reduce his cap hit for next season. I think releasing or trading him would be a mistake until it is clear that Elam (or another CB on our roster) can be a starting caliber CB opposite Benford.
  23. Unlike Bernard, there have been a couple of negative things that have been evident about the play of Elam in his first two years. First, Elam seems to have a tendency to hold receivers and take penalties for it. We even heard about it in training camp updates and summaries. Second, he is not a sure tackler, which I thought was particularly important in McD's defense (and any defense). I hope I am wrong, and Elam does seem to have an ability to make big plays (i.e., interceptions).
  24. Between Beane's presser and Tasker's views on the secondary, I have a feeling that Douglas will be released for cap savings. I think it will be a mistake, particularly if the Bills think Elam can be a starter at CB.
