  1. Interesting that OBJ was very productive when moving to a team with a real QB. Not sure Cooper qualifies as better. The lack of WR talent excuse continues to work for Lamar but it should be about dead with Baker. He is just mediocre.
  2. In other words, they were confident a sucker could be found. I agree - never bet against that. Step right up Browns.
  3. Mack carries a cap hit of $17m plus this year, and $23m the next two years. For those people claiming Beane is asleep, what is your proposal to fit Mack on the Bills given those cap numbers? He played 7 games last year. He had 16 games the year before and produced 9 sacks. I would also be interested to know what about these incremental few sacks added to what is already a top defense screams enough difference to make the necessary cuts to somehow fit Mack under the Bills cap. The Chargers are a non playoff team that currently has room. Perhaps they see this as a move that will propel them to the next level. I would be surprised if that were the case. The next two years of his deal are ridiculously over priced as well.
  4. Not giving credence to the sourcing here, but I certainly expect that the Bills offer will be below market, and I expect he will get better offers. He is a decent role player but not worth overpaying. I think Zimmer, assuming he recovers fully, is actually a better fit.
  5. I don’t think they are going to get him for a 7th or 6th as some have suggested here. Several other teams are being mentioned already including Browns, Jets, and Saints. That said, the possibility is still intriguing. Could simply be a matter of poor fit and bad coaching from frat boy Kliff’s staff that is the problem. Someone mentioned Murrays size as an issue as a joke but I would not discount that as an issue either. Superior coaching and a much better QB could possibly fix him. Just conjecture as I have not followed his career in AZ.
  6. This is not a surprise. Beasley showed definite signs of regression last year. This is a position they should be looking to upgrade. If he will not accept a lesser deal to compete for a spot, adios.
  7. Apparently you did not see Tampa play late in the year and in the playoffs. A team without weapons. That is why they lost. You need to get past the easy stats and see how the team actually performed. They had a better receiving core with Godwin and AB but not even close without. Again, Gronk would be the fourth best option on the Bills. I am ok with it if they want to pay him appropriately, but he is no savior, nor do the Bills need one. Their offense is already one of the best in the league.
  8. He has not publicly apologized. In fact, he has publicly defended his actions. He will always be a POS in my opinion.
  9. I would trade Filthy Beast and Scott Law straight up
  10. In an offense that had no other options. Godwin, AB both out. In the Bills offense Gronkowski is 4th option at best
  11. I have said this before and will say it again: Kyler Murray will never win a championship in the NFL, for the Cardinals or any other team. He is a self absorbed douche, the polar opposite of a leader, and has a very limited skill set. He is fun to watch at times, but will fail in the end. If AZ was smart, they would move him now while some other team might still be duped into offering serious draft capital. If they give him a long term mega contract, they are screwed.
  12. Gronk was paid $8 mil last year by Tampa. If the Bills paid anything close to that to have him on the team Beane would need to fired immediately for criminal incompetence as there is no way he adds that value over and above Knox. I would hold my nose if he was signed for the veteran minimum, but I would be happier if I never had to hear his name again. They need a reasonable back up. That is not Gronk given the Bills salary cap situation.
  13. You are attempting to defend the indefensible. What more to the story would justify what you saw? Who knows why the cops did not arrest him. Maybe it was the first bad decision in the history of policing. Whatever the reason, he should have gone to jail and I would not want him on the Bills. Scumbag.
  14. Political grandstanding. Federal funds do not fund stadiums. The federal government cannot dictate such a ban to states and localities on how to spend their own funds.
  15. All part of the genius of Bill. Mere mortals cannot possibly understand the 5D chess moves of the master. He will prove once and for all that it was his genius all along and not Tom Brady responsible for all those wins. Who needs offense when you have The Bill.
  16. I am not sure why the Dolphins would deny such an easily verifiable fact. Did they think he would not keep a copy? This is a non-issue in any case. Requiring an NDA in return for full severance benefits is entirely standard practice everywhere. I would have thought that clause was in his employment contract, but even if so, many companies prefer to get another one in place so there are no questions.
  17. Are people finally convinced that Rogers is a complete and total nitwit? (Trying to stay clean. You know what I mean)
  18. The OPs post is top of the offseason turd pile so far. Wow. That was bad.
  19. Gee. Spain gets turnstiles on the most critical play in the game, yet it is everyone else’s fault. He played a good game, he says, except for the critical play that cost his team the game. I can’t imagine why the Bills cut him with that attitude. He is probably out of football next year.
  20. It has been obvious from the very beginning, since the draft process and every point sense, that Murray is selfish and immature. He is not a team player. He is not a leader. He will never win a championship. The sooner the Cardinals move on from him and that doofus coach the better off they will be.
  21. The game was largely boring. It looked like a mid season game between two middling teams. The standout performances of the game came at the very : Kupp putting the team on his back for the winning points, and Donald blowing up two plays in a row to seal the deal. I was was glad to see Burrow taken down a notch and glad to see Stafford get his ring. Otherwise, ho hum. I think the Bills would have crushed either, but we will never know.
  22. That is how I remember it. He came in on a one year prove type deal after TN did not resign him and he apparently was not getting the FA love he felt he deserved. He was good for the Bills that year so they resigned him to a decent contract. He proceeded to underwhelm and ultimately be a problem.
  23. Quinton Spain exhibited a horrible attitude after getting paid by the Bills. His play dropped off past disappointing all the way to awful. He was flat out lazy and terrible, and deserved to be cut. Good for him that he has turned it around I guess, but any comments he may have about how he was treated by the Bills should be ignored completely. All his fault.
  24. I would argue Dak is not worth that contract either. It does not mean Murray will not get it - Dak did, and Lamar probably will - but paying any of these guys as elite QBs is problematic. Murray is not elite. Murray is a poor leader, and while an exciting player, has a very limited skill set. If AZ ties their franchise to him (and by extension their goofy coach) I think they will be sorry. They should at least get used to disappointing season ends, just like Dallas.
