  1. Tyler Bass is an average NFL kicker. It's wild how many people think he's a bottom tier guy. He makes about 85% of his kicks. That's right on pace with league average.
  2. Elam was definitely the biggest issue that game, no doubt.
  3. You may have stumbled on the only thing that could get them fired this year. Congratulations!
  4. I have nothing against Jordan Phillips and I think most of us like his personality and motor. That being said, I kind of hate this. Beane went on record about saying how the defense wasn't good enough last season, so why are we trying to bring back the pieces that couldn't get it done the last two seasons? Is Beane gonna turn on the bat signal for AJ Klein or Eli Ankou next? I would rather have the rookies take snaps early on in the season and make mental mistakes than have a guy who knows what to do but can't get it done physically.
  5. Any boat that large should have cannons on it and be manned by a crew of unscrupulous but lovable seafaring scallywags. That's a hill I'll die on. Since Pegula probably has neither, I'm against it.
  6. He surrounds himself with scumbag personalities. The Chiefs don't give an eff about character, just how well you can play ball. His kids are also kind of horrible.
  7. Do people really think Allen needs the reps? He's been the most consistent thing about the team since 2020.
  8. The whole video was sponsored by Adidas. He probably didn't spend a dime.
  9. No thanks, I'd rather run back Hamlin than field Poyer. He was not good with the Dolphins at all.
  10. I understand that it's impossible to know this, but I really wonder how much of an upgrade it would need to be at safety to actually change the W/L record of the Bills this upcoming season. I get the sense that we'd need a superstar if we're talking about markedly changing how the Bills perform all season. Sometimes great teams have a bad position group here or there. If the pass rush can get home then how much of a problem is safety going to be? I don't know, maybe I'm dumb but safety just shouldn't be such a major problem that it tanks your season defensively.
  11. Grant DuBose sounds like a character in a murder mystery.
  12. The closest I would want him to the team is on the practice squad, and I'd rather have young developing players there than Gabe Davis. Davis is not even close to a meaningful upgrade from any of the current options. The only thing he might do better than any of the bubble guys is block. He was incredibly frustrating to watch his last season here and we all knew the Jags massively overpaid him. The scuffles with the fans don't help anything either. Thanks for the playoff game Gabe but I'm very uninterested.
  13. I don't know why you're equating scheme to "toughness", but okay. I'm no huge McD fan and I've been on the record saying I'd be okay with moving on for an offensive minded head coach but I don't think his coaching style is making players soft.
  14. Most teams don't get past the playoffs. If you think it's because the team isn't "tough enough" then I don't know what to tell you. I think toughness that has very little to do with it.
  15. They're usually tougher than 11-14 of the teams they play every regular season, I don't see how this season would be any different. What a silly question.
  16. The truth of it is probably somewhere in the middle. Hamlin is just good enough to be a viable in our scheme. That being said, if the defensive front isn't generating pressure then Hamlin is going to get exposed, hard. It used to be that our safeties and secondary helped hide all the problems we had with our defensive line. Now we need it to be the opposite. Whether or not it's going to work remains to be seen.
  17. Anyone who tries to judge a draft class less than 3 full seasons under their belt probably has an agenda. Spencer Brown looked pretty bad after his first season. Rousseau didn't look like anything special after one season. We all thought Allen would take a huge step forward in year 2 but it definitely wasn't a sure thing. Terrel Bernard looked lost his first season. Shakir could barely get on the field due to (reported) problems remembering the playbook his first season. I don't know how you can confidently judge any NFL draft pick after a single season, especially given how the Bills loved to draft developmental guys far from their ceiling.
  18. I'm going to go out on a limb and say they tried to but got outbid by the Patriots. I don't think Hollins is worth 4-5 million a year.
  19. I got to think the parade of injuries through camp have got to be a factor in resting all of the starters. Maybe he saw how aggressive the Bears were in practice and thought "yeah not gonna risk that". I'm not particularly concerned at the Bills' performance last night, but as a fan it sucks to watch your team look like hot dogwater out there. I think the Bears and Ben Johnson came in with something to prove and needed to get Chicago hyped up. It's almost like they had completely different ideas of what they wanted to get out of a preseason game.
  20. Think he's going to get some snaps at QB? That's the kind of leadership they like in Cleveland, and lord knows they need another horse in that race.
  21. Don't ask questions you don't want answers to...
  22. "Walter Cherepinsky of WalterFootball" - 🙄 Come on now. I've never heard of this guy. Looking him up, he seems to be a fantasy football guy, and not an analyst. He also apparently said that women shouldn't be allowed to vote. Sounds like a guy who's really got it all figured out.
  23. Isn't it 35.7 guaranteed over 5 years? His salary this year has to be factored into the equation. It's also the 3rd highest guaranteed money for a RB in the last 5 years. I think the contract is paying him what he's worth given the market. A team friendly deal with be under that, but that's just my opinion. To be clear, I'm happy about the signing.
  24. It seems like a fair deal on face value for both sides, and Cook gets a bit more guaranteed money to hang his hat on. It's not "team friendly" but it isn't outrageous at all. Signing a player is always a value proposition. Cook has very few snaps on his body compared to similar RBs going into a 2nd contract, and he's excellent at maximizing his opportunities at the position. I'm surprised anyone is actually upset with the signing. "Meh" I understand, but being mad that we retained a speedster with a unique ability to run between the tackles very efficiently is wild.
  25. As a Bills fan I’m glad that Hard Knocks is showing that the Bills are basically drama-free. As a TV watcher it’s a little dull, but still enjoyable. I’d like a little bit more of the behind the curtain stuff though.
