  1. Nix isn't throwing great, but he's doing well enough to let his playmakers make plays. They look like a wildcard team, decent future ahead but a likely first round exit.
  2. He's a dirty player with a reputation for bad hits and poor decision making. We don't need to make it more complicated than it is. He clearly had enough time to not lay him out, he chose to give him a concussion. He knew what he was doing. It's pretty absurd to argue otherwise.
  3. Sometimes you take the things you got for granted. 15/22 is a really rough statline.
  4. Cheers, I'm right there with you. After the Texans game I said I never wanted to see Hollins on offense again. I think what I should have said was "I never want to see him thrust into that role again". As a roleplayer, Hollins has been about as good as you can ask for. 1000x what Sherfield and Harty were for us. If you're asking Hollins to do what he does best, which is block and occasionally catch a TD or first down, he seems like just the guy you want.
  5. I just listen to the morning show on my way home from work since I usually don't listen to WGR from 6-9. They put it up online in your normal podcast places and there's basically no ads (and you can fast forward through them). Joe and Jeremy are much better hosts than Schopp. They're so much better at actually talking about the Bills instead of fantasy or whatever contrarian take pops into Schopp's head. Bulldog is okay but he lets Schopp drive the show way too often, which means it goes into tangents about how interesting other teams are. He doesn't like Buffalo anymore and it shows. He was a good drought host, because everyone was a curmudgeon. He's a terrible Bills host now that they're winning.
  6. I was actually going to mention Oakland if the Raiders were still there since that's about as close to Mad Max as you can get in a stadium.
  7. It seems cartoonishly vile that anyone would go out of their way to push a child cancer survivor down the stairs. It sounds like a headline from the Onion. I'm skeptical. I'm skeptical this would happen at any NFL game, but extra skeptical since Bills fans had essentially nothing to be mad at the entire game. The 300s are the wild west but it's a lot more tame than it used to be in the drought days where you had to be hammered to enjoy the game.
  8. I have WGR on in the background of my office when I'm not on a call. I'm pretty sure it's a prerequisite for any caller between 10AM-3PM to be absolutely sloshed. There was a guy on the Extra point show who sounded so drunk that I thought he was gonna hurl live on the radio.
  9. I haven't seen the numbers, but is the NFL really catching on internationally? I get to work with people from around the world and none of them have ever casually brought up football in conversation.
  10. I'm not a mental health professional, but he seems to fit the narcissist profile to me. All success is because of him, all failure is someone else. His ego won't let him do any introspection, so as his physical attributes have gone downhill he can't compensate by playing more humbly. What a terrible face of a franchise. I hope the Jets sign him for another 10 years.
  11. It's by far the best part of Carr's game. Allen can do it decently as well, but it's not the focus. You combine that with defenses selling out on Kamara / Hill and then you get a bunch of deep shots. The Saints have been hitting deep shots all season, and not just to MVS. Teams play defense against Allen to stop the big/intermediate pass. It's just more of a focus than it is with Carr.
  12. I was laughing during the broadcast when they called out the offense and the PFF ranking for every offensive player was basically horrible, like out of the top 15. Only Spencer Brown was in the top 10 besides Allen. We sure are doing a lot of winning for a bunch of PFF scrubs. 2nd best PPG in the league with mostly guys outside of the top 15 in every position. Seems like the rankings might just be BS.
  13. Absolutely would be our least favorable matchup, but it's not blowout territory anymore, that's all I'm saying.
  14. Maybe I'm just an optimist, but I think the game is very different now if we play them again. Milano, Bernard, and Johnson changes the whole dynamic of the defense, and the offense is more multi-faceted now then they were when they played earlier in the season.
  15. This is kind of Brady's thing right? He loves to lean on a play until the other team has proven they can beat it. I swear I've heard them talk about that before.
  16. It's the most insane and dynamic TD since the Philly special, but the fact that this was improvised is just amazing. A lateral in a snowstorm for a TD is just nutty.
  17. It's nice to see him let the guard down a little bit and have some fun. He deserves it. I've given him a lot of crap but ultimately he's done very well this (and almost every) season.
  18. If you're mad at Bass here you're crazy. There's no reason to even attempt that kick besides showing Bass that "we trust you".
  19. This has been an iconic game. The Bills have shown that they can and will dominate even in the worst conditions.
  20. Herbert looks like a guy I can enjoy a gas station tacquito and roller dog with more, therefore I want him to win. We don't need to have a good reason all the time.
  21. 50,000 drunks with weighted projectiles doesn't sound like the best idea to me. The NFL thought throwing snowballs and adult toys on the field was bad enough, if everyone had rocks and bottles you'd need the opposing team to wear riot gear.
  22. Nate Peterman is still inexplicably in the league. Daniel Jones will find a backup role somewhere.
  23. Probably the right choice though.
  24. Ultimately a really fun game by the end. Eff Watson, Winston and the Browns though. Chubb is cool.
  25. Just got to hope the Chiefs fumble a couple games down the stretch.
