  1. It feels like they come in with the same exact gameplan every week. We rarely see the Bills take advantage of a matchup or weakness. We don't ever see anything exotic to stifle an opponent's strength either. I'm not smart enough or knowledgeable enough to see the nuance in the gameplan week to week, but wasn't the "everybody eats" plan supposed to be very matchup specific? It doesn't look like they're tailoring the gameplan with that mentality. Somebody make it make sense.
  2. Ozzie Newsome before Flacco is the only one that comes to mind. 2001 Ravens had the best defense since the 85 Bears.
  3. I think it's going to come to a fever pitch with Kevyn Adams. The Sabres are beyond a joke and it's baffling that he still has a job. That being said, I'll gladly sacrifice the Sabres to keep Pegula from messing with the Bills org. I'm fine with coaching staff replacements but I don't trust Terry to actually be involved with the process.
  4. They took Trey Smith in the 4th in the same draft. I wanted the Bills to get him and Humphries.
  5. I would hope that nobody would be ruled out at this time because of their personality. They need playmakers and they don't have the luxury of being picky.
  6. Lol what are you talking about? Why would you think I work for WGR?
  7. Or Jeudy. Get any combination of two of those and watch the offense explode.
  8. You're not wrong, but I think it's pretty apparent there are some major structural problems with the Bills right now. I think most people are probably hyper aware of the coaching staff and their deficiencies, and are frustrated that there hasn't been any meaningful growth in those areas. The season's not over, but there needs to be a lot of looking inward at the gameplanning over this bye.
  9. This part at the end is unhinged. Terry isn't reading Two Bills Drive. Think about his kids? WTF? They're adults, I guarantee they're not melting down like you are. Go touch grass and walk it off. Having an aneurysm online isn't a flex.
  10. I've been on the record for a while that I'm fine with moving on with McDermott because I don't think it's good team philosophy to pair a defensive HC with an elite QB in today's NFL. McD is a decent coach but I don't see an improvement plan that breaks us out of the funk we are in. We need some fresh perspectives.
  11. The numbers don't lie. Think what you want but it's undeniable that the offense hummed a lot better after Cooper arrived. I don't think opponent has much to do with it either. We played a lot of good opponents after the trade.
  12. He's just about the only Bill who had a good game last night. I think he has a really high ceiling and we're seeing a decent floor. Hopefully the three picks ahead of him can contribute though...
  13. Probably until he is around 34, so 5-6 more seasons. He can still be effective after that though.
  14. They on average scored 1 more touchdown a game after the Cooper trade compared to before. Regardless of the fact that he wasn't effective numbers-wise as a WR, he changed the way that teams covered the WR room, and the Bills scored more points because of it. I'm not trying to say he was a home run or something for the Bills, but he definitely helped open things up for the offense.
  15. And +1 touchdown a game. We had a 7 point a game swing just by having him on the field.
  16. Yes, which is why I think the majority of the problem is with our coaches and the gameplans they're coming in with. They've failed to adjust properly. Did you stop reading after you bolded that part?
  17. Talent is definitely part of the problem, but they won consistently last season with mostly the same or worse talent. The playcalling and execution has fallen off a cliff. Brady has been trying to get way too cute with a lot of third down calls, and the players are screwing it up. They're taking Cook off the field in the most important moments with tons of time on the clock so Ty Johnson can come in and block? It's borderline negligent. The coaching staff is too high on themselves and isn't seeing the forest for the trees. Neither side is doing a good job scheming to player strengths.
  18. I think the secondary having like 5 pass break ups in 6 games is the much bigger elephant in the room. His playcalling wasn’t good, but the defense gave up 300+ yards in a half. This is all on our HC.
  19. Nobody out there was making plays with the defense as called. they did a lot better in man coverage. Man requires more athleticism. Seems pretty clear to me that the zone scheme is being called incorrectly or has glaring problems with the implementation.
  20. To his credit, the defense seemed better when McD started calling plays in the 2nd half. But yeah, the problem is pretty clearly a scheme and coaching issue. You don’t let a team get 300+ yards of production in the first half just because the players aren’t up to par.
  21. I think the sack rate would jump way up if there weren't clear open outs for the opposing QBs almost every play. That being said, yes I agree that they should finish the play.
  22. I'm not going to bother looking it up right now, but the Bills actually have one of the better pass rush winrates in the NFL. The problem is that the QB gets flushed and has a guy wide open because the secondary is dogwater.
  23. This game was a total and complete coaching failure for 3 out of 4 quarters. What else is there to say? For an entire half the secondary got spanked around in probably one of the most embarrassing performances I've ever seen. It was a total and complete failure. The offense is getting way too cute for its own good. Brady doesn't know what the hell to do on third down. I think most fans do. Give it to Cook. Give to Allen for a power run. Keep the ball in the hands of your best players. They galaxy brained themselves out of a win they could have stolen even though it would have been undeserved. The D-Line continues to create pressure, but the secondary is such a dumpster fire that it doesn't matter. Deone Walker looks good. That's pretty much the only positive from the game.
  24. The fact that we are relying and leaning on Shavers at the end of this game is such an indictment of this team.
  25. Probably not, but I’d love to see McD take playcalling duties back. I don’t know how much it would help though.
