  1. A decade and a half if he learns to play a reduced contact style once he hits 30.
  2. If I had to give a game ball to a position group it would be the O line. The run game likely (can't confirm) brought the NE D up a bit to help the passing game while keeping the Bills D rested. Maybe someone on the board saw if we got big pass plays against their 3-4 base or if we were running against their dime?? I am not ready to buy the "Pass first - pass always" narrative of Schopp and Jeremy White - two folks who almost get apoplectic when we try to run. In the 90's the Dolphins passed their way into the record books and out of the championship game in part because they lacked balance - when the pass was shut down, so were they.
  3. In an era where brains are conditioned to not have to wait for anything - with immediate access to thousands of options in music, dating, rentals, opinions, entertainment choices, video games, etc., coupled with a "you deserve ...." entitlement, waiting 10 years for Allen to retire will destroy a generation of Bostonians.
  4. There was one in East Aurora.
  5. Agree. He's been solid all year. Plays as physical as any of our LBs.
  6. Why name the defense when the national media or Buff News will surely name it the "The blue collar, lunch pail, small town, hard working, cold weather, beer drinkin', pouring steel at the plant, work boot, leather glove, hard hat, bologna sandwich, blah, blah, blah, cliché defense".
  7. If the Bills' run D shows up I'm not concerned.
  8. Just send Howard Ballard and Ted Washington out with Marv to block the wind. He'll be fine.
  9. ...and maybe the punter.
  10. Few OC positions would be more coveted than Buffalo so no reason you couldn't get a top replacement.
  11. I'd like to see more plays in rhythm even if they're short passing plays. The QB improv off a broken play is exciting but it also indicates that the initial play call was ill-timed, easily read, or took too long to set up. When the Bills move the ball predominantly on improv heroics, Daboll in not calling a good game and it usually seems to be accompanied with forced bullet passes and ignoring the easy 5-7 yards in the short passing game. Singletary isn't Thurman or Marshall Faulk, but he's looking pretty good here as of late.
  12. I don't buy into a fixed view of what the McKenzie/Beasley snap ratio should be. It's too much of a popularity contest in that framing. Beasley snaps should depend on the defense they see and whether Allen/Daboll can chill out an accept moving the chains 5-7 yards at a time when no other options present themselves.
  13. Trubisky: 118.8 QB rating today. Truly an embarrassment of riches at the QB position.
  14. 3 catches for 14 targets. Odd day for Davis.
  15. Epenesa looks small
  16. TD close either way. Doesn't stress me.
  17. Allen is not the touch passer that Kelly was - at least not yet.
  18. Don't care about the personal interest stories and who said what in the off week on Twitter. Sideline reporters are generally cringe. Give me someone who knows the game and can explain plays.
  19. Tough because of the desire to rest starters if possible. I'll say McKenzie as they try to limit snaps for Diggs and Beasley.
  20. This. Ed has it all but size. A solid 1T makes both Ed and Edmunds much better.
  21. Agree. You want more information about a player - not less. The whole combine is about JUDGING a player. You can dismiss data, but you can't assess it if you don't collect it. Nothing sacred about the Wonderlic as a test vehicle, but you do want to scale cognitive abilities as you would physical abilities IMO. Separately, I would think interviews contain questions that can be used to look for psychological traits. Companies do this.
  22. Yes. Highly descriptive and apolitical.
