  1. None of them are particularly good, they are just all we have. At best, Jackson is basically a slightly better Levi Wallace and the rookies are trying to get to Levi Wallace level at the moment. The super soft scheme and the insane pass rush last game did cover them up, but let’s not pretend we are having to choose which Pro Bowler to take off the field. I like what McDermott gets out of DBs, but let’s get real here. This is 100% the scheme making the players look good.
  2. Ben used to run around a ton, he was always looking to pass though. He had one play I recall him extending almost 10 seconds before he threw the ball. He was a menace, but rarely was he going forward.
  3. Ben was never mobile? Are you kidding?!
  4. Looks like high probability of Josh bringing the thunder and making it rain all over the Titans.
  5. Just another in a long line of awful decisions.
  6. If the Bills had lasted for 13 seconds they won too.. what’s the point?
  7. I had so many flashbacks to his days in Buffalo and wanting to throw something through the TV. I’m glad he’s not our coach. I don’t understand what the league sees in the guy.
  8. After game 1, it looks like there are about 4 teams that play in a different league than the rest, Bills, Chargers, Chiefs, TB even though they didn’t capitalize on 4 trips to the RZ, still looked solidly better than the rest. I’m sure others will emerge, but the NFL got what they jabbered about for years, parody, the games are getting almost as bad as the NBA in terms of lack of excitement. Ohhh who can t get pumped about a “shoot out “ between the Eagles and the Lions.. yeah, nobody cares.
  9. Welcome back to the League Cam! They can win some games with Cam being their 3rd Rb that throws once in a while. McCarthy should never have been hired, but there they are. It’s amazing how much Jerry will spend to retain players and how quickly he will criticize them, but mediocre coaches are his thing and he won’t admit a mistake and fire them. How long did Garrett hold on? Then replace him with the definition of mediocre. It’s shocking honestly. What’s next? Hire Greg Roman for another run heavy O? C’mon man. They are getting what Jerry deserves. No way Lamar is getting traded in season, the Ravens have a shot to compete this year. I personally think they are signing their own death warrant if they sign him long term, hence I’m hoping they do it. Jimmy G, I wouldn’t make the move for, the 9ers should command a lot for him and he has a no trade clause so he has to agree. I can’t see him wanting to go be a lame duck.
  10. I was surprised by the cut, but based on performance, it looks like the proper call. One game, a decent performance, I’m not convinced it isn’t just a circumstance where they didn’t have anybody better. The Bills and Chefs look like they are in their own league.
  11. AFC teams all look like trash so far, basically the Bills are going undefeated.
  12. This is exactly why he was at 50%, he sat virtually the entire 4th.
  13. But he lead the league in pressure and sacks don’t mean that much, ya know other than the loss of distance and down, but a pressure is just as good. Did I do I right Hughes defenders?
  14. I thank them for that decision everytime I watch Herbert play, that kid is almost as athletic as JA and far more polished than Allen was at the same point. I still don’t see the killer instinct in him, but I’ll take playing Tua EVERY TIME over Herbert.
  15. He was pulling himself, hand was up after every catch.
  16. What I saw was maybe MAYBE 2 runs that were called. Allen saw opportunity and went for it a number of times. I agree with the poster above who said take away the RPO (when you are up big). The only one I was really concerned about was him hoping on one leg in the middle of the field as the other was tied up, that could have been disastrous. Thing is, he’s so dangerous when he just plays ball and you see the absolute joy in his face when he wastes guys, it’s great. He’s going to have to cut back as time goes on, but I don’t foresee him stopping until he actually does get banged up unfortunately.
  17. I’m actually fine with it, he played to win and put his team in position to succeed. The Rams were still playing to score, screw it.
  18. I was thinking about that comment last night as Allen shredded the Rams.
  19. All of this. Miller draws attention, but the guys inside were really getting after it. You have to wonder if the D is really this good or the Rams line was that bad. The Bills certainly whooped them, no doubt about that.
  20. Guess they shouldn’t have hidden their new weapon all pre-season. I just don’t see it with these RBs. Motor is the clear cut lead guy, yet Moss gets all the work. For whatever reason they decided to draft a guy who was a back up in college, to a guy who’s not as good as Moss and expected him to be a big factor. Interesting strategy all around.
  21. Run, JA is going to be hyped to the absolute 9, they don’t want him breaking somebody’s fingers on the first play.
  22. Oliver is not a must keep, he’s good, but completely replaceable, Buffalo fans over rate him so much it’s comical. Po is old enough to let walk. Davis will be interesting, if he emerges this year, he’s going to be tough to keep, but he hasn’t done anything yet, so let’s just see where it goes. They can sign Edmunds if they want.. I hope they want better, but Bernard is not in Edmunds league and I think Edmunds is mediocre. No, Bernard is undersized for LB and he’s slow for his size, he’s extremely limited physically. He was drafted at least one if not 3 rounds earlier than necessary. They fell in love with his mental game and reached.
  23. I love your optimistic view, but there’s absolutely nobody outside of Buffalo that would put Oliver or Knox in the conversation as best or most talented at their positions. That’s just not true. Knox is a good athlete and one of my favorite players, but you would have to Cherry pick the ***** out of criteria to have him top 2 at anything. The late round drafting has been pretty impressive, which makes it all the more puzzling why he can’t seem to hit on the better prospects. God knows it’s so much better than we had in the past. I do love the logic of “14 Starters” came from Beane’s drafts, it’s a nice stat. The reality is 7-8 of them are starters by default, not because they are true NFL starters, but nonetheless, at least they are on an NFL roster and decent.
