  1. Like the fact he’s going to be here, feel like they could have gotten to him earlier for less, but whatever. I’ll judge more when I see the numbers. If anything, I really hope this means Edmunds will walk after the season.
  2. I think it’s fair to say Beane has continually wasted high draft picks, if we were evaluating Bellicheck for these draft picks we’d be laughing. He got Allen, awesome, and therefore a lot is covered up. But Edmunds is marginal, Ford is trash, DS is still trying to make a role for himself, Oliver is solid, hasn’t come close to top 10 status, AJE still a borderline NFL player, Moss still trying to find something, Groot was solid, actually have hope for him, Boogie.. why?, Brown looks like a good hit. This year is way to early to judge, but Elam has been equaled or out played by his 6th round competition, Cook just makes no sense as a second round pick, don’t get me started on the wasted 3rd round pick… step back and look at it objectively, Beane has really sucked on early picks outside of Allen. Let’s be fair, he got the right one, but he also didn’t have his pick of the litter and has shown a propensity to make a move to not get shut out on a position of need. If the Browns had taken Allen, then what? Anyway, his track record in the draft is worthy of question.
  3. Oook, Diggs is a great player, but he’s a product of Josh Allen, he’s never come close to the numbers he has without Allen and the guy who replaced him has been better in his first two years than Diggs is now, with Kirk Cousins throwing him the ball, so let’s just calm down.
  4. I think we may see Gilliam as the 3rd RB with Jones as a ST captain and the “ability” to step in if needed. I agree with your assessment on Moss, but I am cautiously optimistic he will be much better this year. We have not seen the guy from college yet, but I saw glimpses of it this pre-season. He was a hammer in college, and he has really underrated hands, I won’t be shocked to see him keep Cook from dressing for a while. He’s the short yardage guy, by default (and I don’t agree with it based on the past, I think DS can do just as well), he is definitely a better blocker and if he can start to show that little bit of burst/pop he had in college, he’s talented enough to start in the NFL. I’d be happy to have a problem of too many guys that are too talented to bench at a weak position from last year, but man, if we have a 2nd round pick not dressing for the 3rd straight year, I might just lose it. I hope I’m wrong about it and I hope Cook is a beast, but I don’t see the justification for his draft slot at all. Wasn’t happy with the pick at the time, still haven’t seen a reason to change that, hopefully they were “hiding” their weapon.
  5. I feel the same way, but man what an awful look to have the 2nd round pick not dressing for games for 3 consecutive years. I know Beane has worked some magic, but his drafts are almost tragic outside of Allen.
  6. I’m interested to see if Cook being the 3rd RB means he doesn’t dress for games, the way they did with Moss last year. I would find it REALLY hard to believe, but this RB by committee thing does take up and extra spot on game day. It may be that one of the bottom WRs/TEs won’t dress. As it stands based on what we saw, I would be putting Beneford out there, Elam has more raw ability, but it’s raw.
  7. When I am playing in one, if you have anxiety over a game you aren’t playing, you may need medication.
  8. For the 3rd time in three years the 2nd round pick doesn’t dress for game one 😂
  9. I think this plays a major factor in it. The best defense is one that’s not on the field. If you have sustained 7-10 minute drives, you cut the game way down for the other team. Give Josh Allen 4 possessions to throw all he wants, the best he can do is be perfect and score 32 on you. Give him 8 possessions and you’re giving room for error and many more scoring opportunities. Control the clock, control the game.
  10. Talented? Bruce, Allen, and OBVIOUSLY Edmunds, the guy isn’t even old enough to drink yet and has already had a HOF career per TBD.
  11. You have a real problem with reading comprehension or definitions, not sure which. 1) as I said, the Bills could have made the payment to keep her quiet, I never said they had any liability. 2) The NFL protects the shield at all costs, they would absolutely go along with anything to keep bad press out of the eye of the media. They have done so many times in the past and I’m sure they will continue to try to cover themselves. 3) No criminal charges, the DA has seen this. There was evidence collected a year ago, they didn’t take the case. 4) Do you know what the word “possibility” means? I can also easily guess you aren’t worth my time, so whatever other jibberish you want to post will be for your own amusement, I’m not going to waste my time on you.
  12. NDAs are reached after disclosing details to authorities all the time. This would have been swept right under the rug had the Bills said, “look, here’s a million, she needs to sign off on no further disclosures and no further legal actions”. They could have chosen to protect their brand and cover MA’s ass with his consent. The lawyer knows full well the NFL is paranoid of this type of thing right now, I guarantee you his motivation was to try to get hush money out of the Bills or NFL in general. Think about it, this was all “known” for a year and here we are after training camp, just hearing about it. They could have kept it all under wraps IF they chose to. Posturing over evidence is also extremely common. The DA suckers so many people into taking deals based on the potential of the way a jury will see things, the threat of a rape video getting out is more than enough to scare somebody into a settlement. Of course the lawyer can’t show it to the organization because he would be distributing underage porn, perfect cover to try to push the buttons to get what they want. We don’t know the real facts, but we know there were not criminal charges pursued, which means the DA said it wasn’t solid evidence to get anything, that ALONE raises a big flag. I could easily see this being a case of the girl wanting to hook up w the star football player and then going on in to get more, where it got tougher than she bargained for. It could also be as bad as they want you to believe it. Having seen a classmate’s life be ruined by consensual sex with a 17 year old because her parents chose to press charges when they caught her, I make no assumptions. She was perfectly fine with it, he was her 8th guy, but 1st time caught, dad lost his mind and pressed charges. It happens. Not saying that’s what happened here, but I’m also not saying I don’t think a 17 year old would be into the whole idea either.
  13. Guess this explains why Howard couldn’t land a deal with a team he wanted to play for in the first place. I’m kinda surprised he didn’t have much to offer, but he really looks washed.
  14. You have to remember, just because you are an attorney, doesn’t mean you are a good one. People are dumb and make mistakes that cost them, all the time. I’d bet he thought he could get a pay off for an NDA out of the Bills, obviously that didn’t work, so they had to carry on. Now their Civil Suit relies on something that didn’t have legs for a criminal case, this could easily be a failed money grab.
  15. People over play their hands all the time. The idea of suing an NFL player to get to deep pockets is appealing. If I had to bet, they thought the Bills would throw her a million to be quiet. Remember, they live in California, their financial intelligence has to be questioned at baseline. He absolutely could embellish what they have, hoping to get a settlement for an NDA.
  16. It might be best for MA, if there’s no NFL money to go after, her lawyer may give up a whole lot quicker and it will all be over. He can then get on with his life or back to the NFL.
  17. Maybe he will suddenly snap into it, but I couldn’t understand that pick from day one, size of a safety, speed of a slow LB, looks like a wasted 3rd round pick, but time will tell.
  18. Poor timing, could have pulled a pick out of them 😜 Glad he was able to land a spot so quickly, it’s got to suck to be one of 32 guys in the world with a job and get replaced by a new guy. For his sake, I hope it nets him a few more years in the league.
  19. I’m looking at Crowder, good player, reasonable contract, no room. McKenzie and Shakir are good, and they will almost have to have 3RBs on the active roster this year. Singletary is starting, Cook is the 3rd down back and Moss is the hammer.. If a slot guy goes down, they flex Cook to the slot, seems like he became a game day roster problem the day they drafted him. I guess it COULD be Singletary that is out, looking good, last year of the deal and your shiny new toy could get more Carries
  20. Shakir looks like a nice find.. wouldn’t be surprised if he gets Crowder cut/traded.
  21. The most impressive thing to me this pre-season? Not once has Cody Ford been mentioned by the announcers.. that’s a start.
  22. I’m happy to see him look good out there, he was the best QB for Cleveland last year vs a broken Mayfield, that’s not saying a lot, but he should be fine as in an emergency situation.
