  1. Crazy part, he would have added ~3500+ yards to that last year had he stayed healthy. Kind of a bummer he didn’t, but what a career.
  2. They gave up a lot to make all those moves, Specifically, Patrick Maholmes. The GM didn’t magically get 2 first round picks. They had 2 picks in the first bc of the trade down the year before. They gave up a starting LT, to move up a few spots in the first, pre-draft, and packaged a lot of picks to get where they wanted to go from there. The key part was the trade down the year before, which was not Beane. Had they stayed put and drafted Maholmes, they could have used all those picks to build a better team around him, but nobody wants to face that fact.
  3. I’m with you, except I think Bernard is yet another wasted 3rd round pick, and they’ll be drafting a LB higher next year to replace the guy they could have drafted hadn’t been fixated on a “need” position in the rounds before. If they re-sign Edmunds to a top 5 level deal, I’ll officially give up on McBeane.
  4. Yeah, it looks better for the NFL in court later.
  5. Is it a check down if you are already throwing as far as you can? Might make a difference for Tua.
  6. Jalen Hurts a top 15 QB, I’m done.
  7. Key take away, if Punt God can’t learn to add hang time, we are getting Haack baack.
  8. They misspelled shagging, but I’m cool w it.
  9. How about accounting for the fact the guy was a rookie and managed how many yards on those 81 catches? Chase is more physically gifted, and already performing at an insane level.
  10. As many times as he’s interviewed and NOT been hired, something is up. Where there’s smoke there’s fire or Marcel Dareus.
  11. This is why an agent is valuable, take the emotions to a minimum and be smart. Trying to squeeze an extra 3 Million a year out of a deal isn’t worth risking 35+ a year for the next 4-6 years.
  12. A 4th for Baker? You gotta be kidding. Those kind of picks can get you up 2 spots in the first round. Seriously though, they’ll be lucky to get a 6th.
  13. If the guy that played at Alabama shows up, he could be good. Until I see it against a real D, I’ll reference Nate Peterman.
  14. I think we all love Knox, and I agree with you. To my point, he’s above average, that means he should start for about 20 teams. I have faith in Gabe stepping up, but he hasn’t done it. The next highest paid WR after Diggs is Crowder who managed to only get 4M on the open market. Anybody thinking this team has WR depth/talent is a bit misguided.
  15. A lot of the guys you are claiming are his doing are not, so start with an accurate list and we can honestly review.
  16. Ok, so go ahead and show me where I’m wrong, I’ll wait.
  17. In six seasons, McKenzie’s biggest year was 282 yards, we are far from “loaded” at TE, Knox is above average the rest of the room hasn’t combined to put together a good TE season if you take their best career accomplishments. Cook is a rookie RB who couldn’t break the starting line up in College, let’s not crown the guy just yet. Sorry, but reality is, this team is NO WHERE NEAR as “stacked” as people want to believe. If this was the team Tyrod had, people would be claiming he didn’t get a fair shot because he only has one small WR and a bunch of questions around him. Allen is the strength of the O and elevates the players around him. Outside of Diggs, there is nobody who would be a guaranteed starter on any other team for skill positions on this team. Knox would be better than a lot of teams have, but it’s not by a wide margin. Davis didn’t start over Sanders and we cut Beasley, the talent is thin. Davis is going to have to go from being the 4th/5th option last year to the 2nd this year, that’s a big ask.
  18. I knock back 18 and dinner, and he’s way bigger than I am, so I don’t find that hard to believe. I learned my lesson on St. Patrick’s Eve, went to a Hooters all you can eat night.. 5 dozen was too many.. missed the morning drinking shift… sent about 30 of them back out the wrong direction.
  19. talent at WR in general is a problem on this team. Diggs is a known commodity, but Davis has never been a full time starter, after that, who do you have? Legitimately, nobody better than a 5th round draft choice. Personally, I think they blew it not adding to the WR room. If Davis steps up (I think he will), it should be ok, but we have to really hope nobody gets hurt or we are looking at a bringing back Robert Foster.
  20. I think it’s obvious, it’s Allen’s arm arrogance that is most worrisome.
  21. In fairness, had the O shown up earlier in the game, they should have had a lead and put the nail in the coffin, not have to make a miracle comeback at the last second. The comeback was epic, but it does make you wonder why it took so long to get to that level of play. The D still crapped the bed, they lost the game. Could the O have put the game out of reach by getting after it earlier?
  22. I’m near Raleigh and we seem to be in a really good pocket, no real major weather. The ice comes when you get some rain overnight, it freezes on the roads. It’s hysterical listening to the people here all warning you about “black ice” as if you have never seen such a thing in NY. They don’t have salt here, but it warms up to above freezing by like 10 am, so it’s no issue if you aren’t in an emergency to get somewhere and nothing is open anyway, they shut everything down with a threat of ice lol. The over nights get cold for about a month and then the days are mid 50’s to 60’s most of the winter, very few days it might only get to the mid 40’s. But that’s really only January- mid Feb. I have drank beers on the patio, in shorts, for New Years here 😂. Every year, I put up Christmas decorations in my shorts and sweat my ass off on the roof. The “winter” is basically fall in NY and lasts ~1- 2 months. Spring sports start at the end of February, so that kinda paints the picture. July and August are pretty brutal, but oddly, it’s not much more humid than WNY and only a little warmer most of the time, difference being it’s consistently high 80s to low 90s and WNY gets a few cooler days and it actually cools off when it rains, that’s not really the case here, it dips a little, but the increased humidity makes it still feel just as hot. It’s all a matter of preference. For me, the longer season to be outside is big, I used to get absolutely miserable from about November through March in NY. I don’t have that seasonal issue here, I just get up early to beat the heat for a couple months and I can still comfortably go outside year round and feel ok doing it. I can drive 2 hours south to get considerably warmer (SC is usually a LOT warmer, puzzles me a little), about 4 hours west to the mountains if I want more winter like conditions and the ocean is about 1.5 hours east if I feel like being covered in sand and hating myself for a day. NY is definitely a “prettier” state, especially the Adirondack region vs the Smokey Mtns, but here you stay warmer and avoid the snow and of course the taxes. I wouldn’t move back, but I sure will make it back in the fall to see the ADK area again and catch a couple games at the Ralph ( idk what they call it), before the end of the real tailgating era.
  23. let’s be real, in about 2 weeks, I’d rather be in WNY for a couple months. It’s the winter months I don’t miss at all. NC’s version of cold is ~30* which is pretty tolerable for a couple weeks here and there, but the heat gets real in the summer.
