  1. Pretty sure GB took the cake with luxury picks.
  2. It’s solid as a long term move. For a team that was in the NFC championship game it a bit ???. Particularly because they traded up. It’s not like Love was sitting there like Rodgers was.
  3. If I’m just going for a song to get people pumped though....
  4. At the time Bradford has one of the best rookie seasons by a QB... then injuries and a lack of development. The fact that Pennington stayed in the league with the post-surgery arm strength of a toddler is indicative of his exceptional timing, vision and accuracy. Not that his arm strength was average before hand, but managing a 66% completion percentage when all you can do is lob wounded ducks is insane. The injuries happened though, and so did the fourth quarter INTs on deep outs. I agree that Tua has more talent than either. The injury concerns are legit though, as injuries have derailed plenty of promising careers.
  5. Dude basically had an improved rating every year of his career. Only two complete seasons. Talent was there..... was never healthy enough to capitalize on it. Same goes for Pennington, but Pennington was more gifted until the shoulders died.
  6. Bradford and Pennington were exceptional...... until injuries kept occurring.
  7. I’d go with Hamburger Train.
  8. Holmgren school of QB tactics. All of the HCs from that tree have done this to varying degrees of success.
  9. It’s certainly possible. I have no idea what their assets are, but a lot of energy people invest heavily in related sectors. If the Pegulas are heavy on fossil fuel, pipelines, etc right now they could be hemorrhaging capital.
  10. Yup. However both were acquired before Daboll. Duke Williams is the huckleberry amidst a sea of “smurfs”. The things I’m keying on are versatility and football IQ. There seems to be a trend there with FA signings and guys who ultimately make the final roster.
  11. You might know it better a “8: The Ocho”???
  12. Which lets Beane select literally any type of WR he wants from physical freaks that need development in order to play outside to high floor low ceiling gadget players. They seem to prefer guys in that 5’10” - 6’ range though.... but.... perhaps they’re looking for diversity in body types this year. Fun to speculate.
  13. True. One could probably build a really good offensive foundation by just drafting OL and TEs from Notre Dame and Iowa. ?
  14. Rather patient for a power back. Good vision. Can hit cutbacks. I like his foot movement and subtle elusiveness. Isn’t going to outrun a defense. Solid choice for a hammer in a committee.
  15. People keep comparing Dillon to Henry (2nd round), and assuming that he’ll be picked earlier because of that. IMO, it’s much more likely that he’s being valued similarly to Brandon Jacobs (4th round) by front offices. Zack Moss is more ready to contribute immediately on all three downs.
  16. It’s interesting to me that they met with a bunch of these multi-positional players. Seems like they’re looking to upgrade the gadget spot with a higher ceiling player.
  17. I seriously consider Tua there. I wouldn’t even care if Allen is the guy. You grab Tua, let him heal, coach him up so he can light up preseason and/ the backup role. He’s a guy you could potentially flip for multiple firsts or a top ten pick in 1-2 years. If Allen gets wrecked physically or regresses you can always go with Tua. Granted, if Tua drops to the second round there would be a serious medical problem.... or.... he got caught smuggling kilos.
  18. Fullback, punter, kicker. Strong safety without linebacker flexibility.
  19. Thurman, Gore, McGahee, etc were one time ligament injuries from particular instances. The chronically injured players are different.
  20. No clue, but I hope there’s some type of tell all later on.
  21. No *****. Well, we’ll move to the next IOL Jonah Jackson, OHio State
  22. The Lions take Tyler Biadasz, Guard, Wisconsin We need to bolster depth and increase competition on the offensive line. We’re of the belief that Biadasz’s performed below his ability this past season while recovering from a hip injury and playing through a lingering shoulder injury. When he rebounds he’ll look like a steal in the third round.
  23. In negotiations right now to make the contract voidable if he goes within 100 yards of a movie theater.
  24. Good choice, but I traded my pick to Virgil for aging vets from the movie. Donald Sutherland and Hillary Swank still have some juice. Unfortunately he unloaded Paul Reubens contract on us, but it was the only way to make fair value. The plus side is that now we can take the hamburger train to events.
