  1. Anyone else hate the NFL network camera angles on returns?
  2. Going back further.... absolutely. There are a lot of failed 3-5th round picks that they tried to groom behind aging or transitional vets. Only dude I recall them succeeding with in any way was Brad Johnson.
  3. Almost lost a tv that day. I’m just lucky my best friend was too drunk to aim when he threw the remote.
  4. Not exactly true. In the last twenty years they’ve spent three 1st round picks on QBs: Culpepper, Ponder, and Bridgewater. They also spent a 2nd rounder on Tarvaris Jackson and generally draft a QB every 2-3 years in the later rounds. The Vikings definitely aren’t shy about moving on though. They’ve just been snakebit more than anything.
  5. Moss’s pass blocking was one thing that really impressed me while watching him before the draft. He was stonewalling DEs and LBs reliably. It was impressive. He was also pretty good the few times I saw him lead blocking for QB sweeps.
  6. Or swap the ketsup for Frank’s or wing sauce.
  7. Some one should add in that he avoids eating crow like a toddler with vegetables
  8. Probably not this off-season. Remember they tweaked his contract and (IIRC) next year he’s getting an extra $7MM guaranteed. With how they gave him his back end cash up front and those guarantees in 2021 Diggs will most likely be content negotiating again before the 2022 season after the cap rebounds from Covid. Basically they just gave Star’s opt-out salary to Diggs while the space was available.
  9. I’d imagine that they will have one WR on a large contract and cycle through the rest with spot signings and draft picks. It’s going to depend on how well they draft and replace guys. If I had to bet.... They let Smoke go after his contract. There’s a substantial difference between Beane and Gettleman when it comes to playmakers so far with Beane going for passcatchers and Gettleman going for RBs. Of course this team is still evolving and it hasn’t been long enough to know if that’s due to Daboll’s offensive scheme or Beane’s preferences yet.
  10. Petition the Pegulas to hire a sound engineer for the job? Perhaps pay someone to slap each of them with a 2x4 when they lean away from the mic or swallow it like a club girl on Chippewa during jäger night.
  11. For sure. It’s quite refreshing to kick back with for some of these games without having to do math about playoff probabilities.
  12. Or perhaps.... a..... “fast” ferry? 🤣
  13. I honestly don’t care who wins. I just want the NFCN teams to beat the everloving snot out of each other down the stretch. We’re not catching KC for a bye, so having opposing playoff teams still dealing with lumps from hard fought divisional battles will have to suffice.
  14. Yeah. The rule still exists in that form because of play action. Without that allowance DTs would get penalties for tackling a RB on a play fake. The refs are just less forgiving on these calls with CBs because they’re out in the open and, well... it was what Darth Hoodie did to stymie the greatest show on turf.
  15. Best way to even everything within the new rules is to ban cut blocking outright. It’ll never happen, but it would rebalance the game.
  16. If Knox is going to stick in the league he has to seriously improve his catching or blocking. At this point I’m kind of thinking the latter is more likely as he has the physical attributes to improve there and has shown that he’s not afraid of contact.
  17. Depends. If we get to the AFCCG or Super Bowl teams might just go with their second option. 🤷‍♂️
  18. Was Knox worse than Ebron this game?
  19. Today’s interceptions were needed. They sent a message to the league that “you can’t just play keep away from Tre.” Plus, swag factor. Giving Wallace and Johnson some extra confidence to trust their judgement will pay dividends as well. Loved seeing them show up big when all 👀 were on this team. Doesn’t hurt that Tre played damn well too.
  20. Williams and Feliciano are the two guys I could see taking a discount. Williams especially if there’s enough guaranteed money to insure his financial stability going forward. I could also see him signing for a higher guaranteed percentage on a slightly smaller contract than market rate. Don’t get me wrong, Williams will get paid, but I think he may just value having security on a well managed & coached playoff team. But when he struggles to stay on the field every year there’s an issue that lowers his value. Is what it is..... too many sick days to get a management role.
  21. Nah, but you gotta get that on tape for playoffs
