  1. IMO if there’s an animated gif it should be Rick James.
  2. And his own teammates. That’ll happen when you spit on folks, poke them in the eye, take shots at their knees, and taunt anyone and everyone.
  3. I never even heard of the guy until he showed up in a thread here. I do think it’s funny that he could get hosed with condiments for being a professional heel... However, I think it’s be a lot more entertaining if he went double or nothing on a Bills/Chiefs AFCCG and wound up getting slammed through a table by Bruce for charity donations. 😉
  4. 10 - The TOP difference was 10 minutes to favor the Colts. A TOP differential like that will often lead to big plays in the ground game during the 4th quarter. If that strip sack doesn’t happen and we take another 2 minutes off the clock that collapse in run defense may not have occurred. The difference in TOP is in large part due to poor 3rd & 4th down performances by the defense, but when the margins get slim a timely rest for a defense can often dictate how they perform late in the game. 0 - Zero holding calls. The refs didn’t even call the egregious holds in space yesterday. Couple that with possibly the best Oline in football and an experienced QB with a quick release, and we can’t expect them to win many battles. Particularly when we do not have a game changing talent on the Dline.... There’s no Donald, Mack, etc on this Dline to balance out the talent disparity. We need to keep in mind that the Colts have a very talented & balanced top 10 offense - Reich is one of the best schemers in the NFL. This defense managed to keep them to 24 points with poor field position and without our offense eating up an equal amount of clock. There are certainly areas of concern moving forward, but I’m not going to tag on them too much about this game. We need to remember that this team now has an offensive identity. The defense performs best when the offense is rolling and they can make splash plays against one dimensional opponents. Those splash plays didn’t happen yesterday because our opponent played excellent football.
  5. Oliver did a pretty good job at stalemating Nelson and standing his ground against combination blocks. Forced their backs to find a different hole on more than a few occasions.
  6. As far as what Indy did on D.... a lot of Tampa 2 and cover 3. They did an exceptional job of handing off routes, bracketing WRs in the intermediate areas, and got pressure with 4 rushers. They have the right personnel for that scheme and those players executed very well for most of the game. Couple that with slowing the game down, some odd play calling by Daboll, and a few injured WRs gutting it out and our point total dropped. On the plus side, the Bills won despite not bringing their A game and losing the battle in the trenches.
  7. My favorite was Edmunds beating Veldheer at the goal line, and Veldheer trying to manhandle him from behind like a horny dog.
  8. They should have ruled it a fumble on the field so it would be reviewed automatically without McD intervening. I thought that was basically the de facto protocol in these types of situations?
  9. If Oliver has a big game it’ll likely be a blow out win. Mainly because he’d have to whoop Q Nelson to make that happen.
  10. The biggest X factor in a rematch is that Allen will likely be more willing to run in the playoffs. We really haven’t seen a whole lot of that this season, but in single elimination.... I would count on him taking off for even a few yards when it’s free yardage and coverage is tight.
  11. Rather pay Aaron Jones $2MM/yr more. At least Jones can take over a game splitting carries and play WR if needed. Plus, he has to be accounted for because he’s a threat to take it to the house whenever the balls in his hands. 🤷‍♂️ Truth is... Can’t see us spending big money on a back with Singletary and Moss on the roster. It’d be nice to have a top RB, but not a necessity. Particularly if they came at the same price as a top offensive lineman. I’d take Darryl Williams over Jones, Carson, etc for the same price range.
  12. Khan came out and said that he wants control over roster moves. No way to know how serious that statement was, but it means that he may dive into meddling.
  13. I don’t care about Brady. I’m actually pretty amused that he bailed and left Belichick trying to pick up the pieces. I’d rather have the Packers. Allen dueling Rodgers and coming out on top would be awesome. Plus, Diggs reaction after beating GB in a Super Bowl would be fun to see. Beating Brady would be a nice consolation prize, but I want this team to take down the NFCs best. Beating the Chiefs and Packers anoints the Bills as King of the Hill.
  14. Colts do a good job of limiting the number of Bills drives, but lose because they end up trading TDs for FGs before adding a late TD. Bills 31 Colts 26
  15. On defense: Run exotic coverages with zone blitzes on passing downs. They have to find ways to get pressure with 4 rushers. The way to do that is to run stunts and blitzes while dropping the extra rushers into coverage to confuse the offensive line and get Buckner in 1:1 matchups. Easier said than done. Rely on inside pressure and don’t be overly aggressive rushing... If they give Allen running lanes he will take off. Speaking of getting Allen to the ground, GANG TACKLE as he could very well Travis Henry a LBer or DB and steal 20 yards. I’d also consider going into the game with two defensive game plans, so I can switch at any time once Allen/Daboll figure it out. On Offense: Run the ball and utilize play action. Run a lot of counters and test the defense horizontally with jet sweeps. See if you can exploit Edmunds by getting him to take a bad first step. Use screens to take advantage of Bills DEs being overly aggressive, especially if the DBs are playing off the LOS. More than anything else.... win individual matchups on critical downs.
  16. I had Moss as the best pass blocking back before the draft, and he’s exceeded expectations there.
  17. Nope. Elway played his whole career with a torn ACL. He injured it in high school and the doctor declared the knee “stable”. That’s the reason why Elway skipped all the combines; he didn’t want drop in the draft.
  18. Most of their fans are being cautiously optimistic. Considering how these teams match up they have a right to be. Particularly if the weather neutralizes our passing game a bit with freezing rain. Allen tends to start games with inconsistent play in that particular type of weather. Now, their fans saying that a full on snow game is an advantage for them may want to go look at that GB v Titans game. Dryish snow and swirling wind will let us stack the box.
  19. I think this may be a key for Daboll: patient ownership that doesn’t try to override the decisions of hired football minds. Going off that premise I’d imagine the Jets and Jaguars aren’t contenders. The Chargers and Falcons may be the most likely choices.
  20. I was joking around about the injury part of the cycle which begins the process. The only way Fitz could actually usurp Allen is with an Alex Smith or Teddy Bridgewater type of catastrophe. ✊ 🪵. Was trying to say that without saying it. He earned a camp spot and an opportunity to show what he can do next year. Damn good showing, and I hope we don’t need him until OTAs.
  21. We’ll see how it goes. I don’t think Daboll will leave for the Jets as he’s a Buffalo guy and the Jets ownership is a dumpster fire. He’s going to interview for at least one of the other openings. With what he’s done this year and Allen’s improvement Daboll will be getting his shot. At least one team will likely be willing to wait.
