don't sleep on...Reggie Gilliam?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they will cut Johnson and the back-up linebackers are mostly terrible, so I think Gilliam stays for his ST's snaps. -
Shady is looking for a three peat
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Might Rather's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's done now. It was the wrong decision to cut him in favor of Gore but it is the wrong decision to think he can come back now and be productive. -
Are the Bills are a "regional" team?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills are a national team. It's not people from Buffalo that travel to away games. It is people that grew up and left the area that go to those games. There is a reason why there is a Bills bar in many towns and not a Browns or Jets bar. -
This is a reasonable approach. I think it is just a difference in assessing past performance and predicting future performance. As for how you assess Alexander, I think the same can be said for White, he has had one truly elite season and the others have been very good. All of this is nit-picking as White is a true #1 corner. Does it really matter if he is top 3 or top 5 or top 7? No. He is the Bills top corner and if all remain healthy, the Bills secondary is an elite unit. You apparently don't watch many of his games https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2021/01/13/rams-jalen-ramsey-stats-coverage-top-wrs/

It is important. But those are just two stats. Very important stats but not the only ones. Adams scored 18 TDs compared to Diggs 8 scores. Adams played 14 games compared to Diggs 16, which resulted in Adams having more yards and catches per game than Diggs. Diggs, Hopkins, and Adams are all superstars. I think a legit argument can be made for any of the three as top WR in the league.

A Second String Bills Team
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Rocky Landing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LB depth is awful. Kleine was good for 6 games last year. If he can play at the level hid did at the end of the year they could have some interesting 4-3 looks. Edmunds got some snaps over the OT with Klein at MLB very late in the year. . Everyone else on the team is awful. Safety depth is a worry. LT could be a big problem if Dawkins got hurt. -
Most intriguing Training Camp competition?

I would not be shocked at all. He had a terrible rookie year and he had a few nice plays before getting hurt. He made his mark at Stanford by making plays behind the LOS. He has never seemed like a good fit in this defense. -
I think people have missed out on his greatest achievement. He was instrumental in negotiating revenue sharing between the franchises. That is his greatest legacy.

Most intriguing Training Camp competition?

Seriously? Fromm won't even make the team. Trubisky is a low end starter for some teams. Fromm has no value and hurts the team by taking up a roster spot they can and should use to carry an extra lineman. -

Seems about right. Alot will depend on how Star looks in camp. Also remember Phillips was a healthy scratch for a bunch of games last year so he is on the bubble too. The last spot will be between Phillips and Zimmer. The group you chose is a little light at 3 technique DT. But if Boogie can play some snaps inside on passing downs they should be ok. -
Strangest Bills Jersey You Own
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Wagon Circler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
None for myself but I have purchased an awful collection for my kids. You have to realize they don't make that many jerseys in kids sizes and kids grow each year. So yes I purchased Losman, Edwards, Alonso, Gilmore, Watkins, and Manuel jerseys over the years. For myself, I only own one - Thurman Thomas signed jersey with a HOF patch. -

I agree. I am interested to see who emerges as a legit pass rushing threat. Beane has put a ton of money and draft picks into the DL with little to show for it. Time for these guys to step up. Hated most of the signings last year. Too old and slow. Really like that they asked Epenesa to lose weight. Of course it won't happen but I still want to see Edmunds as an OLB in the 4-3. He's fine at MLB in nickel which they play the majority of time. But even in nickel I'd like to see him rush the passer and have Milano play deep middle from time to time. The final five on the OL will be interesting to see. I'm still going with Feliciano as my surprise training camp cut as they go with youth at guard and Bates as a swing tackle back-up center. -
Agree! He was outstanding and made some superstar catches. The Bills haven't had a group with this level of ability 1 through 5 ever. They have guys that can make diving, sideline, and contested catches consistently. I've posted for a while the NFL is about doing the routine at a very high level of consistency and making the amazing play more often than not.

Everyone thinks their hometown announcers are the best. That's silly but what matters is do they make the experience better for the fans and make a connection with the fan base. In each case, Miller, Darling, and Jeanerette did just that. They all made being a fan of a Buffalo sports team more enjoyable. Buffalo missed out on the longtime baseball announcer that so many cities embraced. But I wouldn't trade "Where mama hides the cookies" for anyone.

OJ’s 1975 Season. Better than ‘73?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills of the 90's had Thurman who was a MVP and Bruce Smith who was defensive MVP and a team that would have 5 HOF players if you include Lofton, a HOF coach, and multiple other Wall of Fame guys. Sabres at the same time had an aging Mike Ramsey, a young Mogilny, future HOF Dave Andrechcuk, and they traded for Lafontaine. By the mid-90's they added Hasek. The years you note were great, but the early 90's were much better. OJ was an all-world talent and is still in the conversation for greatest RB of all time, but the team was terrible. -
Hard Knocks 2021: Dallas Cowboys
Ethan in Cleveland replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never watched an episode and have limited TV time. Is HardKnocks worth watching? Training camp seems boring enough, not sure how they spice it up.
