  1. Starters is meaningless on the DL. Its a rotation. The rookies should get plenty of snaps.
  2. Don't understand why the board was fascinated with this kid? What position would he have played in Buffalo? As for heart conditions there are only two that are an issue. One is Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy(HOCM). Think Hank Gathers. That is what he had. It can be easy and at times very difficult to diagnose as there are all kinds of presentations. Any superior athlete can have hypertrophy of the heart from training but only a rare few have HOCM that can be lethal. The other condition is a plain of cardiomyopathy(weak heart). Generally this is easier to detect but not always an exact science. Most other conditions are not going to cause an issue. Any true congenital defect would have been caught long ago. Still, I say, he is a player without a position in Buffalo, so I see why the Bills passed.
  3. Hughes with 8. The kids rushing from the other side allow Hughes to get a few more rushes without help. Addison will be a healthy scratch by week 8.
  4. 12 million cap hit for 2022 is manageable. Star, Hughes, and a few others will be off the books. I don't think much of Edmunds as I have posted frequently but picking up the option is the right decision. It gives Beane the most flexibility in the next few years.
  5. Extending Allen does nothing to the cap for 2021 and very little for 2022. Its an extension not a new contract
  6. Doesn't guarantee anything for Edmunds. In fact it does the opposite. It buys them an extra year to make a decision on whether he is the MLB of the future.
  7. Block better. Replace Morse in 2022
  8. You guys are reaching to defend the Doyle selection. There is no defense for it. It was a bad pick. They should have gone pure center or 1-tech DT.
  9. You forget future HOF OT Jason Peters - signed as a TE first though
  10. His first ProBowl was an injury replacement and does not count. Oddly he deserved the first trip to the ProBowl but there is zero explanation for making the ProBowl last year. He was terrible.
  11. He played like a bottom 10 LB last year. None of us know how much that was injury or just regression. He played as an above average to very good MLB for the second half of the 2019 season. If he can sustain that level of play he will be worth it. Picking up the option makes the most sense.
  12. So picking Allen at 7 was bad? Ford or Bates would have been fine. They have enough guards that could take Ford's spot if needed. As it stands now, they probably dress Bates and Brown because both can be swing tackles and Bates can play any interior spot in a pinch.
  13. Who cares about a year or two from now. Winning the SB is the goal now. Not a long string of playoff losses.
  14. You will be. The pass rushers look good.
  15. Beane to McD:”The roster is good enough to win the SB. Get out coached in the playoffs again and you are gone”
  16. Overall B+ Really like the pass rushers. Don’t like that they did not come away with a 1-tech DT and added two swing tackles. l would have preferred a true center to replace an overpaid and average Morse in 2022. Knox had better develop because they did nothing to address TE. Rousseau - A. I might have gone Tryon but I have no issue with this selection. If Etienne was still on the board I take the dynamic RB, but I’ve been asking for a boost to the pass rush for a few years. Basham - A. I have no problem doubling down on DE. This kid is non-stop and will be a terror next to Oliver rushing from the inside in the nickel D Brown - B. Little help for 2021 but I understand the move. Dawkins and Williams will look very expensive when they have to sign Allen and Edmunds and neither of our tackles are elite. Taking a chance on this kid’s athleticism makes sense. Doyle - D. This pick makes no sense. They barely have a need for swing tackle now, let alone two. The greater need was a 1-tech DT. A move up for a big guy makes more sense here. Stevenson - A. I advocated for a return guy predraft but that was before the brought back McKenzie. Either way this guy has speed and should be the 6th WR. It will be a battle between McKenzie and Hodgins for the 5th WR spot. Hamlin - B. Again fills a need that I wanted predraft for backup safety and special teams. Nice length. Solid pick. Wildgoose - C - pencil him in for the PS now. There is no room in the defensive backfield. Tweener not fast enough for outside, but could develop as an option behind Taron Johnson. Anderson - B. Gave him a B because he looks like Incognito and might be a developmental center. No chance he makes the roster but a PS center project in round 7 is fine.
  17. Pretty sure I advocated for a safety late in my wish list pre-draft. Like the height. Good pick.
  18. The OP is spot on. The swing tackle will line up in jumbo sets and will report as eligible from time to time. Bates did last year.
  19. Recently, I wanted Winters to get playing time at guard early last year. The coaching staff apparently agreed but wow was he bad.
  20. Keep posting your opinions. Don't listen to this board. Most are just Beane sycophants and most of them don't know what sycophant means. I'd be down with that!
  21. Good choice. Might challenge McKenzie for the last WR spot
  22. Looks like short arms for 6'8"??? Love the blocking air technique with the right hand. Just humor guys...not being serious
  23. Seems that way. To me its a numbers game and I just don't see the roster spots that are up for grabs that will make a difference. If he swung for a TE or a DT I'd understand but another swing OT? Neither seem capable of playing center or guard so I'm perplexed
  24. Yes a year ago. They aren't adding another kicker. They signed Wallace and they have Jackson. So where do you see an open roster spot? Third TE and maybe fourth safety? They had to phantom IR Hodgins just to keep him. He too will find it hard to make the roster this year.
