[subscription may be required:] https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/russ-brandon-resigns-from-bills-sabres-after-internal-investigation/article_627990fe-618f-5864-8251-fb29d950d192.html "[...] Pegula Sports and Entertainment conducted an internal investigation into Brandon's workplace behavior and allegations of personal misconduct, two sources told The Buffalo News on Tuesday. [...] Kim Pegula on Friday informed Brandon an internal investigation was being conducted. Two sources with knowledge of the investigation said it was triggered by allegations of inappropriate relationships with female employees. When confronted by Kim Pegula, the sources said, Brandon denied any such relationships, but the investigation indicated he was deceitful about that and other job-related issues that were uncovered."
  2. I hear you. Me, personally, I'd rather play that Thursday and have more time to prepare for game 2, especially since there are already two weeks plus between the final pre-season game and opening Sunday.
  3. Agreed, they are brining attention to the letter, probably in an attempt to drive up clicks. Or maybe it is an automated process, and the most clicked on links get posted under their trending news via algorithm.
  4. But it's not really news (it's a person who wrote a letter's corny opinion); and the first post is misleading, since it was just on a sidebar of trending news without the poster seeing the letter, not an actual article or opinion from a pundit. It's nothing to talk about, as no sane person would have this opinion.
  5. It is on a sidebar on the front page, under "Trending News". This thread probably should be locked.
  6. Can you try clearing your cache/cookies and/or use a different browser or device?
  7. Agreed. I am not sure if it is sarcasm or not. The letter is just weird. It doesn't make a good point either way, addressing four entirely different issues too briefly without any real insight or logic: the stadium, relocation McD's coaching in the AFC Divisionals, and racism.
  8. Sad. I'm sure he enjoyed coaching though and had a positive effect on his players.
  9. In other news, the Detroit Lions will keep ticket prices the same, or even reduce the costs of some seats, for the 2022 season: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/18/lions-wont-raise-ticket-prices-in-2022/ "The Lions had the lowest average attendance during the 2021 season on their way to a 3-13-1 season and they won’t be charging fans anything extra for the pleasure of watching them play in 2022. In a letter from team president Rod Wood to season ticket holders, the team revealed that ticket prices will not be going up for the coming season. There will be price reductions for about 16 percent of the seats at Ford Field." Let's be grateful we are not them!
  10. That would be nice, but I think they would celebrate any Bills loss, as it means potentially getting ahead of us. Plus, they don't have any beef with the Rams, AFAIK. Now...maybe Cincinnati would be happy with a Bills win, lol.
  11. Good post, and good research. I agree it will be either Buffalo or SF vs. LA, but I don't put it past the NFL to feature the Cowboys again; although Fox will fight hard for the game, since if Brady actually stays retired and Rodgers leaves Green Bay, this will be their best game. One minor quibble: in 2013, the defending SB champ Baltimore did not host the game, but went away to Denver to play it, due to a scheduling conflict.
  12. Agreed. I would have liked to have known too. Lists are always good.
  13. Nope. See a list of the opening games here, since they started in 2002: [scroll down about a quarter of the way:] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Kickoff_Game
  14. Yeah, on the 506 forums, they said the Bills Mafia might take over the stadium. Well, they play the Packers, but at Green Bay, so they are off the list (only once, in 2013, was the defending SB champion away for the opener, and that was only due to a schedule conflict). So, you're basically correct in that the Packers are a no-go.
  15. Agreed with Buffalo. I also think the NFL would be mindful of Kroenke's complaints of 49'ers fans taking over the stadium, so I doubt it's SF. And it's been over 10 years since there was a conference championship game rematch for the opener. Over on the 506 forums, the Bills are the overwhelming favorites. Some have also said if Rodgers goes to Denver, they could also be in play (as you stated too). 16. Well, it's still very early to know. Some mocks, like Cynthia Frelund's, don't have him going in the 1st, while others, like Daniel Jeremiah's, have him earlier (Jeremiah has him going at 21 to New England).
  17. Well, just some of the times, lol.
  18. I see what you are saying. But technically, teams get the same number of home games each season, since when they are away for nine games, they get to host two pre-season games, instead of just one.
  19. That definitely counts as young! Anyone younger than I am is definitely young. 😅
  20. Didn't see this in a search, but mods feel free to delete if already posted: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/11/bills-raising-ticket-prices-for-2022-season/ "The team announced on Friday that season tickets will increase by an average of $11.57 per game. The average price for season tickets across regular and club seating will now be $113 per game while general admission will go up to $91.98. “We think it’s fair market value,” Bills vice president of ticket sales and service Chris Colleary said. “We compare other teams’ prices; we compare our historical prices. We compare the value of that seat as a season ticket, the value as a single game. We evaluate every seat, every row. There are some seats that may go up $3 a game and there are others that might go up $20 a game. The seats that go up $20 a game might be in the first five rows of the 100-level compared to a seat in the 300 level. So, we factor all those things in it.” Colleary also said that the team now has a waiting list of about 3,000 for season tickets and they may increase season ticket capacity as a result."
  21. I am not surprised. Andre Reed had a higher YPC average (13.9 vs. 13.4) and more receiving TD's (87 vs. 70) in his 15-year career (vs. 12 for Johnson) and had to wait eight years to get in.
  22. I didn't realize you were that young! (Either that, or I am old, lol).
  23. First, Ray Rice and now AK41. Man, what is it with casino elevators and NFL players?! 😄
  24. I hope the Bills are still in Buffalo in 2922.
  25. Maybe top 5? But many panned the Bills for taking him so early. I just think it was a huge gamble. He would have still been there in the 2nd.
