I think this is a very common attitude, but I'm not like that. The Sabres are not even operating as a real, competitive, professionally run NHL organization. If we are going to be a perpetual irrelevancy, move the team. What's the loss? Hockey is nothing close to the game I fell in love with as a kid anyway. Much more boring product IMO. Just finished watching us quit in the 3rd period of the Oilers game. We're a long way from being a solid hockey team. I think Granato has to go at this point, but he will NOT go. If he's around next year, you'll know it's still business as usual in Sabre land.

We have a very soft team and too many players with exactly the same makeup. Need greater diversity on the roster and more grit. A rock solid starting goalie would help a lot too, though 6k has been pretty solid this year. When we miss the playoffs again, I do believe Granato should go; and I have always liked him too.

Peter Guelli the new COO of the Bills and Sabres

Dude kind of looks like a serial killer. Anyway, the Sabres can't be worse managed than they are, so there's that. -
Jake Paul vs 57 year old Mike Tyson on Netflix
Nextmanup replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
I will be pulling for Iron Mike to drop this guy in the first round, just like the old days. As a burned out old man, Mike still has hand speed this kid can't fathom. -
This guy has made $7 MILLION in career earnings so far! Just amazing how rich you can get, being literally below average, in today's sports scene. The NHL is filled with nobodies making 2 or 3 million a year who will never be worth a damned as a player, but they make up the numbers and will enjoy a 10 year career being crap.

What if Allen and Mahomes swapped exact situations?
Nextmanup replied to first_and_ten's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is true, but I feel this next off-season (after 2024 season), when we bow out of the playoffs yet again at roughly the same point...it might be different. I.E., I do NOT think Pegula has had McDimwit on the hot seat, ever, but he will put him there after the next season. So there's a chance for improvement there. Just my guess. Pegula may be content to keep McDummy around forever, I don't know. -
He'll be missed! Sorry to see him go.

Nice to see the team play a solid, 60 minute game. It's not going to be easy to get into a playoff spot AND KEEP IT, but it should be a fun run to the finish line anyway.

Also, perceived BPA is not BPA! No one knows who the best available player is. IF they did, the draft selection list each year would be a lot different to what it is.

Kirk Cousins gets 4 years, $180M from Falcons

He is the new Ryan Fitzpatrick. He's going to retire with ENORMOUS money, despite never having really been worth a *****. There's something wrong with that. Doesn't seem right. -
Have OJ's legal problems/reputation caused his football collectibles to sink in value, or soar? I can see it going either way. Just wondering.
-
We may very well take a step back next year, but it won't be b/c of the cuts that were made. This team was always going to look a lot different in 2024.

Utterly predictable, but still sad.

Neanderthal Footprints Found in Normandy, France

I'm reading through the thread here and getting an idea for a cool TV series.. Set when there were multiple "human like" species wandering around the Earth. That's a weird and creepy time in the evolution of man. With modern CGI and special effects, I bet you could get the various character to look quite convincing. Imagine if you could go out in the woods today and find 99% human-like creatures...that weren't human! Weird! -
Is trading Milano something Bills should consider?
Nextmanup replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall
The answer is "YES" if the move makes the team better. I love Milano and would leave him where he is, but we will have to do a lot of reshuffling this year and in the near future. People forget how much the makeup of the Bills Super Bowl teams changed from year to year. -
Unlucky, huh? Well, if you support all things Buffalo Bills at all times, I guess you would write that. Others might suggest there were hugely foreseeable and easily avoided mistakes. Knox never looked like the real deal and dumping that huge money into a marquis pass rusher at the end of his career was ALWAYS going to be a folly. Always WILL be a folly. Kind of like throwing giant money at the biggest named FA on the first day of FA signings. The best GMs don't do that crap.
-
Choice 2 is obvious. With Allen, we have all we need to be in SB nearly every year and win it a bunch of times. If we are not doing that, it is because the people around him are not getting the job done. That all falls on GM (talent acquisition; team building) AND OF COURSE COACHING. It will be more interesting NEXT OFFSEASON when we end our season at about the same point AGAIN. The chances of McDimwit getting booted will be their best so far.

Bills fans dropped to No. 20 in latest fan rankings

Nashville NO. 1! LOL -
6 seems really low to me. I'm at about 9.5. They are the new Patriots and get used to the winning SBs while Josh ages with none.

The moment SF failed to get a TD and only got the 3, I knew the game was lost. Why didn't the coach? I don't get paid as much as he does!
