  1. A lot of people have been taking about the QB age differential. If it works out that Allen faces Rodgers, for example, you know all the discussion will be old vs. new and the "changing of the guard" and so on. It's in an interesting dichotomy in that the younger guys clearly have the raw athletic advantage, but the old guys have the experience advantage. The team with the better QB performance on SB Sunday will probably win, and it could be any of these guys, old or young.
  2. Just watched the most recent weather forecast video at WIVB's website...the weather guy says it's going to be getting colder on Saturday as the day wears on, there will be an increased chance of local snow, and maybe even some lake effect snow...in particular hitting localized areas such as Orchard Park. Winds will be picking up, temps will be dropping, he thinks good shot at snow during game, possibly lake effect snow. It will be interesting to see how the weather plays out. It may be a big factor, it may not be much of a factor at all.
  3. On the contrary! That's a great German name!
  4. Yes, he's that good. He can take over the game single handedly. He carried his team on his back last week just as much as Josh Allen carried the Bills on his. Without Allen, no way in the world we win that game last week. The Bills need to try to and contain him somewhat, but a better plan is to out-offense him. You can't totally shut him down anyway.
  5. Baltimore is going to blitz like crazy in this game and in general put an emphasis on pressuring Allen. If we can pick up those blitzes and Josh does a good job of reading them and getting rid of the ball quickly, I agree we can be successful. If they are successful with that pressure and Josh runs around playing hero ball in the backfield, could be a long day.
  6. This fanbase usually bases their opinion on, literally, the last Bills game played. Regardless, this game is going to be a war and is in no way going to be easy. It's certainly winnable, however. For those looking for something to be encouraged by, consider the game last year was a tough, close affair, and yet our offense and Josh Allen is much improved this year. Totally different offense. Both teams are not exactly as they were last year, of course, but the change in our offense alone could easily tip the balance in our favor. I'm looking forward to re-watching last year's game tomorrow.
  7. Yes, our whole team needs to take this game personally. We lose all the games when the players don't take it personally. 🤷‍♂️
  8. This is how it works here for all quotes from all people, all the time. 👍
  9. Yeah, it sounds like we are going to get maybe a dusting type thing, but not a lot more. Not sure that will impact anything, one way or the other.
  10. OUR BEST COMBO. If we lose, we can't blame it on the uniforms!
  11. It's funny that he had something of a reputation (I thought at least) of being your typical disgruntled prima donna WR at Minnesota. Like he couldn't be made happy and was a bad influence in the locker room or whatever. He seems the total opposite of any of that in Buffalo. Model player.
  12. Tua looks to be much better than your typical Bills fan here gives him credit for, down the road. He still has a way to go with development. Then we have the rumors of Watson maybe going there too think about too!
  13. Depends entirely on how much of each. If it is snowy, it could totally take away Lamar Jackson's "it" factor to run around and terrorize us. It's not supposed to be really cold, but there is (at the moment) a 40% chance of snow. Low of 30 at night. I just have a feeling we WILL see snow at game time. Just a hunch. Not sure how bad though. Not if there's enough of it. Remember our snow game a few years ago? Lamar isn't going to run wild in that stuff. No one is. If it snows enough to cover the field and make it hard to see the yard markers, we have an advantage. Watertown, huh? I feel your pain. One of the worst winter climates in the country, for sure.
  14. Keep an eye on our goaltending. If it doesn't improve substantially, we'll miss the playoffs again for sure, regardless of how well the skaters play. I'm not sure why we should expect the goaltending to improve, but it has to.
  15. I think it means sort of lean but quite muscular. Not flabby. Sort of like this.
  16. LOL you don't know the definition of "salary". Doesn't have to be an annual thing. Could be hourly compensation or any other arrangement. (From Merriam-Webster online) sal·a·ry | \ ˈsal-rē , ˈsa-lə- \ plural salaries Definition of salary : fixed compensation paid regularly for services
  17. What is greater? A) The amount of fat on their combined bodies B) The amount of alcohol consumed by both C) The stupidity of both D) The inability to fight displayed by both Cast your votes! I have *never* been to a Bills game in that stadium and NOT seen a fight in the stands or something really ugly. One of my favorite stories is the guy who was so drunk, while walking down the stairs in the upper deck to go to the exit, he fell like 10 feet down many stairs. You could hear and *feel* a sickening thud as he bounced down the concrete steps. Most fans in the area laughed and one guy yelled out quite loudly "Have another one, a**hole" which was greeted by much laughter. The fallen man got up, covered in blood on both his bare arms from brush burns and what not, and limped to the exit, not to return to the game. Just another day at a Bills game!
  18. Keep a list of the bad calls that break for us, too. It all evens out, usually, in the end.
  19. In order to fully evaluate the impact of this, we need to know your age, the nature of the job, and the salary involved.
  20. I hope he was confusing the Youngs. Steve Young was a total stud and a great running QB who was also a great throwing QB. He was just a great QB, full stop.
  21. Just watching the recap of that game it was obvious how much different he looks now. He was doing his Tyrod imitation in that game last year...could never find a throw he liked enough to make. He and our offense this year are totally different and much better!
  22. She can handle my bird any day of the week.
  23. He's a good old fashioned homophobe and racist. Makes it even easier to cheer against him on Saturday. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6477091/Baltimore-Ravens-condemn-racist-n-word-tweets-homophobic-slurs-Twitter-player-Patrick-Ricard.html
  24. Where's the stud running/catching TE? McDermott and company may still have faith in Knox and try to develop him as such, but I'd love to see us expend considerable assets in this direction.
