Given the direct impact the wind had on the kicking game last night, McDermott was probably wrong to have prioritized possession over playing direction. Or at least his team that thinks about things like this. They arguably got it wrong. The wind took 9 points off the board last night. We're lucky one of those kicks wasn't the one we needed to avoid a loss. EDIT: The wind was well documented to be moving length-wise down the field towards the tunnel end. Talked about all week from meteorologists in WNY. I know b/c I watched about 10 weather videos at Channels 2, 4, and 7.

People have been telling us all over this forum how the Bills were "not supposed to win" last night. I have mentioned being favorites as well, but folks just love the underdog role, and many Bills fans wake up in the morning feeling the Bills get no respect. They seem to thrive on it.

As others have mentioned in other threads, a second Battle of Lake Erie would be positively epic! And the NFL and TV networks would HATE IT too, b/c of the 2 tiny markets involved, which makes me love it even more. I think it would be totally cool to have a Cleveland/Buffalo AFC championship game. The game today can't get here fast enough for me. I would normally watch with my standard 1 hour tape delay to avoid commercials and BS, but I'm not going to make it that long today.

Great video clips. If Cleveland can find a way to beat KC, how about opening up those upper decks for the AFC Championship Game? We can fit another 7,000 in there with safe spacing easily!

KC should win and win easily, which is why I am going to be cheering hard for Cleveland. Maybe some lightning will strike like it did in Pittsburgh and Cleveland will get a free 14 point head start.

My assumption is Mahomes will put up 30 against us and it will be on us to match. We might do that but we have struggled to get the offense really flowing these first 2 playoff games. I'd rather play Cleveland. The home field thing could present a benefit too, just in terms of the team feeling comfortable and being in familiar surroundings, being able to sleep in their own beds night before game, etc. There is no competitive advantage for home teams over the last 2 years in the NFL, despite people talking about the "home field advantage."

He realizes we have been in the playoffs recently. He was trying to say that teams that have been down for a while are suddenly alive in the playoffs and it's fun to watch. Tampa, Cleveland, Bills. He didn't do a great job of saying it.

I think the OP may have been trying to be facetious, but didn't do a very good job of portraying that.

Yes, maybe not in the traditional sense, but it was tight, tense, close, and a defensive battle most of the way. I don't think either QB ever really got in stride, but that relates to the defensive battle going on.

At this stage of the game, it's not really about entertainment. It's about finding a way to claw and fight for wins. And we now have 15 on the season. 2 left to go.
