  1. High pitched voice but not Geddy Lee is my opinion.
  2. Four 911 GT2 RS vehicles among the destroyed merchandise. That's a tragedy.
  3. May I propose "go read a book" and wait for the real schedule to actually be released? And then comment on it until your heart is content at that time?
  4. Looked like he said "Oh....My....God" but I don't read lips. Then he turned around, walked away, and took a sip of water. LOL
  5. I thought he was dating Danica Patrick. I'm guess I'm behind the times with this stuff.
  6. This has been an even bigger story for longer in Japan. It's the cell phone/internet culture. We now have entire generations of humans who have been raised on "social media" which is anything BUT social... It creates hordes of loaner zombie types. And the really fun part is these kids are now entering the work force! Employers are finding they have to first teach these people how to be socially functional, never mind the job description. I have been saying this for at least 5 years now: the day is coming when "gluing your cell phone to your hand and interacting with it every 30 seconds, all day long" is recognized as an official DISORDER, like alcoholism, or porn addiction. We're still not there yet though.
  7. Now that the Olympics has been on for a while, I have to say, NBC's coverage continues to mostly suck... And they seem to be broadcasting (in a hugely disproportionate manner) all of these Mickey Mouse "X Game" events that involve jumping on skis or snowboards. You can't escape that crap--it's featured every single night. I'm guessing those sports are popular with young viewers and their data says that crap pulls in the most viewers...so be it I guess...but man I just have no interest in these new "sports." Then you get something like the women's downhill and they gloss it over and skip many runners... They did do a nice job of POUNDING the story about Mikaela Shiffrin losing her dad A FEW YEARS AGO.... They reported it constantly for a while there like it happened the week before the games. It's always the same crap with American sports broadcasting.
  8. Never my cup of tea...used to be a frequent guest on Bill Maher on HBO... RIP.
  9. Of course, but now you are destroying the thrust of the thread, which I believe is to piss on NYS government.
  10. The 2 teams aren't in LA for the "people of LA"....they're there for the corporate sponsors of LA....who have done a nice job of paying top dollar in huge quantities to support both teams. LA has corporate sponsorship and luxury suite data the likes of which Buffalo can only ever dream of having. Such is the reality of the game as it stands today. It ain't about Joe Jackass in the bleachers anymore.
  11. Not sure why everyone is so surprised. This is the economic reality of the game today. It's worth repeating that Ryan Fitzpatrick has career earnings of over EIGHTY-TWO MILLION DOLLARS. Dude is a border-line non-starter..... But there it is.
  12. I have been saying for a few months now, the top priority has to be the O Line. You make that better and you make Josh better, and making Josh as good as he can be has to be the Top 5 most important priorities on the team.
  13. What the Rams did is nothing new, and sure it will be attempted more in the future. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work. I admire teams that go all in in this manner...and I wish the Bills would aggressively pursue a "win now" mindset...not at the total expense of the future, but I wouldn't mind bringing in established vets in exchange for draft picks, etc. Our window is wide open right now...so jump through the damned thing and let's get this over with! I've been waiting 50+ years for a championship.
  14. I more or less hate the NFL when it comes to almost any issue! But what does that have to do with sitting down and enjoying a football game? It's not the league and its shenanigans that I care about, it's pro football games!
  15. For all non-Bills games, I propose recording them on the DVR and start watching about an hour after they start. You can FF through all pre-game BS, all commercials, halftime delays, and even things like lengthy delays due to reviews/challenges, etc. Ironically, you'll end up finishing the game around the same time as it ends in real time, if you start around the correct time. I.E., it doesn't mean having to stay up even later for a night game. I have no idea why anyone would watch a game other than in this manner. For the BILLS---that's different. I can't wait an extra hour! I want to see it live and will put up with the BS for it, but usually only for Bills games.
  16. My Jesuit education has served me very well in life, but I 100% agree with you! BTW: Read up on Pope Urban VIII, mentioned in the blurb up-thread... This is from that glorious era when the Church had really hit dead rock bottom, and stayed there for quite a while.
  17. This reminds me of the threads we get around here now and again discussing how a Super Bowl is very likely to come to WNY. LMFAO I doubt the Bills will be the opening night game, simply b/c we're the Bills. Get over it.
  18. Not even close! I do find it funny, however, that those who have lost all interest in the NFL still somehow feel a burning need to interact with an NFL chat forum 24/7. LMFAO 😂
  19. His NFL career is already over. That's a huge part of why his actions are so brave. He's not looking to make a few bucks, he's looking to right some wrongs. 🙄
  20. It was a lousy game that lacked any flow whatsoever...saved by the fact that yes, it came down to a fairly exciting conclusion and the outcome of the game was never really known throughout. I'd give it like a 6 out of 10 in terms of being a fun game to watch by a neutral fan who doesn't care who wins or loses. That's how football used to be before the cap and free agency. Back then, organizations that really knew what they were doing could totally stockpile talent and dominate. The Bills, 49ers, and Cowboys were among the best at that back when we went to our Super Bowls. Yes, there were more blowouts during the regular season in those days, but when the heavyweights finally met up in the playoffs, the games seemed more memorable. I've been harping on this point for 30 years. I would argue many of the games this post-season were really exciting, but b/c of parity. A lot of people considered the Bills/Chiefs game like the best playoff game ever played.
  21. I wrote this earlier in the thread before the game was over, but there was nothing I saw all night that I enjoyed, will remember, or would want to watch a second time. Now that the game is over, I would repeat the same. The commercials used to be funny, or clever, or huge and cinematic in scope in quality, and you wanted to talk about them the next day and see them again. I don't recall it being that way in probably at least 5 years now. Add the commercials to the list of reasons why the SB is now totally over-hyped and overrated.
  22. Halftime of a championship football game (of all things) is NOT the time or place for some sort of breakthrough musical entertainment performance. The SB is now so overhyped and overblown, it is almost impossible for the game to come close to living up to expectations. At the end of the day, it's just a football game and the SB today wasn't in the top half of playoffs games this season.
  23. It was not a particularly enjoyable game, but you have to admit it did have a close/fairly interesting finish, which is way more than I thought it would have. I had the Rams winning easily in a mini-blowout, so compared to that, the game was actually good in a way. I'll forget who was playing before next season begins! LOL
  24. With the way the league is now structured, no one should EVER be out of win now mode, more or less. "5 year plans" went extinct in the 1990s... Look at what the Bengals just did in 2 seasons! With Josh playing the way he did to end the season, we should be aggressively pursuing titles, NOW....
  25. Try to think metaphorically, not literally.
