  1. My advice is to watch it on TV, if it ever happens at all.
  2. There is definitely a change of personnel at the top, but a lot of the people from GOT are still involved with this one too. It will all come down to the writing. If it's still excellent, the show will be great. I'm sure directing, acting, special effects, etc., will remain top notch.
  3. No, they were giving out free information on how to ruin your Ferrari. Apparently, Marcell was all over it.
  4. I saw a commercial for this yesterday. I'm sure most people know about this, but I was not one of them! Had no idea we were about to get GOT Part II, or the "Better Call Saul" of GOT. Mark Sunday, August 21st on your calendars now! https://www.today.com/popculture/tv/house-of-the-dragon-game-of-thrones-prequel-rcna22448
  5. I'm with the OP on this. Let's say we got an NBA team and in the 2nd or 3rd year they got on a tear and went all the way to a championship. Sure, that would be tons of fun and I would probably be following them (in the playoffs) closely, must because they are from Buffalo. But no, THAT championship would pale in comparison to the Bills or Sabres winning it all. This is a problem we'll never have b/c Buffalo will never have a new major league sports team, least of all MLB.
  6. *Whites* no need for the apostrophe
  7. I didn't realize there were $1.2 million townhouses in downtown Buffalo. I always wondered where he chose to live given his need to constantly get downtown to the arena. I think most of those guys tend to end up way out in Clarence, however.
  8. I wish the half of this board that lives in the '80s would read this and think about it.
  9. Outstanding comment. Game day coaching is easily the weakest link in the Bills chain these days. If McDermott and staff rise to a new level, we'll be a much better team. Not sure why they would do that at this point, but it's worth a shot!
  10. Big, dramatic win in Rochester last night! Game 2 is Friday night at 7pm in Belleville. Of note: the bigger the game got last night, the more the pressure, the better Peyton Krebs seemed to play. There are a number of young kids in the pipeline now that seem like gamers. We haven't players like that in a decade.
  11. She seems like a classy young lady.
  12. Oh wow! I am no expert on jiujitsu, but that looks to me like someone who knows what they are doing got him in some type of arm hold and told him to resist or else....and he kept struggling....at which point the guy decided to pop his elbow. That looks painful. That's mostly an American thing--America is an extremely violent society. We tend to show violence in this country (at least on network TV) as a substitute for the sex/nudity we can't show... Which is funny. 2 people making love: streng verboten! Some psycho bashing someone's head in? Perfectly acceptable.
  13. You would think he would have a better attitude when he ponders the 10s of millions he might be leaving on the table by not being the agreeable, good teammate kind of guy. He still has an entire chapter of his career left, post starter status--as you point out!
  14. Skydome is the perfect demonstration of why "domes" suck for a sport like football.' That place was WORSE for the Blue Jays. They shouldn't be allowed.
  15. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jerry Jones is right on the edge of not being able to live the life he likes to live, or do something as massively demanding as run an NFL franchise. He is getting OLD and appears very close to not being able to do it anymore. In a couple years he will be retired out of necessity---or the Cowboys will become a complete tire fire. Actually, that will be an interesting story to see unfold. Will Jerry know when to relinquish power and step away? Will someone in the organization be strong enough to convince him to do it?
  16. I have now lived in SE FL long enough to know that TWC very deliberately hides/bends/manipulates the Truth to make all things as horrific and scary as possible--to the point that I no longer rely on them for weather related information. I'm specifically talking about our annual hurricane scare that usually comes in the first week of September. For a week or so there will be a ton of national talk about the big hurricane that might hit FL and all the local grocery stores and gas stations go empty. Everyone shudders their windows and hopes the big storm misses. During these periods, the local weather guys really come to the fore with honest, accurate information. They will always encourage safety and evacuation if you are in an evacuation zone, but if the storm is weakening or moving away from us, they will say as much. At those times, TWC will just continue to go foot to floor "doom and gloom" 24/7, to the point where I have learned you can't rely on them for accurate information. Doom and gloom sells, and the vast majority of TWC's viewers are NOT going to be impacted by the hurricane, so why not deliberately over-dramatize the situation? That seems to be their approach. Their shtick is deliberate and done in bad faith.
  17. I've said from the beginning that Kim will choose to dump Jimmy and move on with her life. That will be the reason why she was never around in the BB universe. Just a guess though! I have said this also from day 1: Kim and Jimmy's relationship is simply not convincing. They do not relate to each other on screen like 2 people who live together. They treat each other in formal, respectful fashion, frequently hide things from one another (mostly Jimmy not as much Kim), and I don't know--they just have very little on-screen charisma together. I think it will be easy to break them up when the time comes and have Kim move on with her life. She is WAY better than Jimmy/Saul and in real life I don't feel like those 2 people would be together.
  18. Johnson was looking 100% back up field and literally never saw the hit coming. For that reason, it was a hockey type of hit when a guy is caught with his head down. Absolutely devastating and explosive!
  19. Rationalizing Bills failure is what this board does best.
  20. First off, this is 110% a bunch of NOTHINGNESS. Secondly, I totally appreciate the guy's comments; he wants respect; so does everyone. They will earn that respect if they are in fact a solid team that consistently can achieve some results. If they prove to be one hit wonders, they probably won't get a lot of respect. End of story.
  21. Matty Boom-Boom. Matty Boom Stick. Punt god. Your own personal Jesus.
  22. The empty buildings, especially at playoff time, were definitely enthusiasm killers! Watching Boston vs. Carolina as I type; really looking forward to Edmonton vs. LA tonight at 10pm!
  23. He, and anyone else who had anything to do with selecting Barkely at No. 2 overall, should have been fired before now.
