  1. Domestic Violence "Enhancer":
  2. Show me the most gorgeous woman on the planet, and I'll show you a guy who is sick and tired of f-ing her.
  3. Or any urban environment in America, depending on who is giving you the advice.
  4. Outstanding post. Just outstanding.
  5. Pittsburgh was named in 1758, by General John Forbes, in honor of British statesman William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham. As Forbes was a Scotsman, he probably pronounced the name /ˈpɪtsbərə/ PITS-bər-ə (similar to Edinburgh).[22][23] Pittsburgh was incorporated as a borough on April 22, 1794, with the following Act:[24] "Be it enacted by the Pennsylvania State Senate and Pennsylvania House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania ... by the authority of the same, that the said town of Pittsburgh shall be ... erected into a borough, which shall be called the borough of Pittsburgh for ever."[25] From 1891 to 1911, the city's name was federally recognized as "Pittsburg", though use of the final h was retained during this period by the city government and other local organizations.[26][22] After a public campaign, the federal decision to drop the h was reversed.[22] The Pittsburgh Press continued without the h in its nameplate until August 1, 1921.[27]
  6. I finally saw a commercial for the new Top Gun movie last night. They show a few scenes that are stupid and cheesy, and some of the visual effects didn't look good. Like the new "Pearl Harbor" or "Midway" movies but with F-18s.
  7. Who remembers this watch from the James Bond movie "Octopussy?" I saw this in a watch shop around the time of the movie (early '80s) and I think the price was around $200 (then) as I recall. They are still knocking around Ebay. Back then, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. LOL
  8. It's an interesting question, but I have no idea what the correct answer would be. I've followed the Bills/NFL, Sabres/NHL, and Boston Red Sox (AL) my entire life as far back as I can remember. Anyone who started with any of those 3 teams probably around 1980 or so would be the answer. I definitely remember #11 when he was a Sabre and well past his prime. But I also remember him when he was still somewhat of a star too, thank God. 1980 or so? But I'm too young to remember him joining the NHL or the really sweet spot of his early career with the Sabres. I wish I saw more of it.
  9. The story is sort of going out of its way to generate outrage... ...when in fact the thong was in fact some sort of fake flower that included a thong. So it's not that hard to see how the mistake could have happened. They wanted to order 500 (?) fake roses; they got 500 fake roses that included a thong. I bet a number of the moms who got those would look very good in them!
  10. I thought last night's episode was somewhat weak. Not a lot happening.
  11. But would ya? Hard pass for me! 😂
  12. He was a good contributor to the team for a long time, but I'm glad we've moved on from him now. He stopped being an impact player several years ago.
  13. More than a third (!) of the entire country of Canada lives in southern Ontario, in "Bills territory" if you are a Canadian looking to find a "local" NFL team to cheer for. So it makes sense that we would be super popular there. I wouldn't be surprised if folks in Windsor cheer for the Lions, and the BC crowd cheers for Seattle.
  14. My initial reaction was repulsion. Then I thought about it, and I agree with you. He should be absolutely outstanding and deliver new insights into the game. So, I'll give it a shot, instead of the outright boycott I was initially planning. 😂 If you have to ask...
  15. "We can't do a freeform jazz exploration in front of a festival crowd." -David St. Hubbins The "Festival Crowd"
  16. Beat me to it. For sure, there are a bunch of people here who think we will go 17-0.
  17. Yet another example of the fact that NFL teams do NOT know talent on draft day, and do NOT have an accurate listing of descending talent. They only think they do! Big difference.
  18. Didn't click on the story and won't do so. I try to stick to watching guys play football on Sundays. Much more than that, I'm not really interested in.
  19. These guys move around in weight class to make these fights and match up big names, but sometimes the weight class move is just too much.
  20. Shirley Jones from the Partridge Family!
  21. I'm a huge watch geek, so yes, I wear a watch almost every day. None of them are Smart watches and they never will be. They are all mechanical movements.
  22. Huh? No comprende.
