And what is Urban Meyer up to these days? The guy's a freaking moron.

The mental side of Josh's game has been as bad as they physical mistake side, which is why I have never accepted the idea that it's "his elbow" that has caused some slumps in his play this year. He hasn't been banging on all cylinders, consistently, for a very long time. IT DOES feel like he has regressed this season in all aspects of the position. Maybe he really does miss Daboll. I have no idea! The good news is that "lights out" Josh is in there somewhere, and it can come to the surface at any time. Last year in the playoffs he was incredible.

Petty arguments with faceless strangers, in a particularly bitter, snarky piece of douchebaggery, is what this place is all about. As one long time participant at Sabre Space said, it's "toxic" here. I do believe @ half of the folks here are here for that purpose. The other half are just good old computer geek sociopaths and wall huggers.

If Somehow Hyde Returns, We Win The Super Bowl

Also of note: if we make it to the Super Bowl and get more points than the opposition, we win the Super Bowl. The difference is this is doable and not wishful thinking. -
Buffalo News analysis of Tremaine Edmunds this season

AMEN! He can be replaced with a kid with a similar skill set, slotted into the same scheme, with about the same results....and a MASSIVE cap savings. GO offense or go home! -
Well, it's now been 3 major events, separated by a handful of weeks. He should have sat out the season after getting the first two so quickly in succession. And so now he has the third. He'll get the fourth even easier.

That was a REALLY GOOD hockey game made even better by the late goal and the huge winner in OT. I would have been OK with a loss, especially with the penalty trouble we got into in the 3rd...then that 3rd goal came and I was thinking "Oh come on! Just get it to OT and take that point!" And then we WON it with Bergeron and Marchand ON THE ICE. Dillon Cousins was awesome on that play and what a nice goal from Tuch! Nice to see his mom down low in the crowd to enjoy that one. Big shout out to UPL as well, who had a very solid game, kept us in it at times. This team is a lot of fun to watch.

Connor McDavid is on his own level of otherworldliness, and that's as measured against the entire league. But it's nice to see this outburst of scoring from multiple Sabres, no doubt. If we had rock solid goaltending (we don't) and continue to tighten up team defense (will we?), we could do damage in the playoffs THIS YEAR....especially with the PP humming as it is. I still think we have a very outside shot at playoff hockey this year, but next year we will be there, and then we'll be there every year for a long time. We gotta get a goalie. Surprising that he would sell them all NOW...we FINALLY have a team worth watching for the first time in over a decade. No joke.

I actually think I enjoyed Season 1 more as well, but probably because the concept of the show was new and fresh at the time, not necessarily because it was a better story. Though it may have been! I fell in love with all the cinematography of season 2 and in fact have been following their locations on Google maps. The show was very accurate and authentic; when they said "let's go to the old Greek theatre" it all made sense. It's right there not very far from the hotel they filmed at. I was a little disappointed that Tanya's character ended the way she did, but then again she was not particularly likable. The two actors/actresses I would like to see more of in the future are Sabbrina Impacciatore (hotel manager) and Simona Tabasco (Lucia the prostitute). I thought both of those actresses were fantastic. Hell, I even enjoyed F. Murray Abraham's character quite a bit! When I first saw him I was like "they are dragging this guy out of nowhere for the show?" but he was excellent. Least favorite character on the show: Albie Di Grasso. -
Based on your user name, I have to ask, does your car look something like this inside?

It's because we are currently a GOOD team, on TV all the time, and we are also a fun team to watch, at least when we are firing on all cylinders. A franchise (in any sport) picks up a LOT of casual fans under these circumstances. There are Bills fans here at this forum right now b/c of what we did in the early '90s...another great, fast playing, fun team to watch. If we could truly build a franchise that stays at this level forever (hit another bullseye at QB when Josh retires), half the damned country would probably be wearing Bills stuff. It also helps that we are effectively "Everywhere, USA" and have an attractive underdog story built into the whole thing. It's easy to see why random fans would pick the Bills as "their" team.

I distinctly remember watching, very closely, the Orange Bowl in his senior year. I wanted to focus purely on him as there was a lot of talk about him (and other QBs of course). I watched the entire game, FSU won, but the entire time I was thinking "This guy is horrible by college football standards; he can't do A, B, C, or D...I project him to have zero future in the NFL." And then the Bills end up with him! Keep in mind I also absolutely FEARED the Bills taking either of Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson! You win some, you lose some.
-
He's also the first one (in about 700 years) to quit the job, I assume because he was told by some one or some entity that he had to take one for the team regarding the Catholic priest/boy rape scandal. There will always be a huge black mark against this guy, and when you consider some of the villains that have been popes over the years, that's saying something.

If Somehow Hyde Returns, We Win The Super Bowl
Nextmanup replied to Dick_Cheney's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dick, I always hated you but did enjoy it when you shot your friend in the face while quail hunting. But I have to say, you need to get over this one. Hyde ain't playing this season. And yes, it would be great if he did. It would also be great if we won all remaining games by at least 48 points. That ain't happening either. -
What song gets you pumped up for Bills football?

No, he was one of the best ever back in his day; I wouldn't say Maradona eclipsed him, but was added to the Pantheon of soccer legends (Maradona was at his peak in the '80s, after Pele's time really). No one has suggested Messi is better than either of those guys; he has worn the crown as "best all around soccer player playing at the moment" for a solid decade +now I would say. Messi is more in the "best right now" group with guys like Roberto Baggio, Lothar Matthäus, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo (the Brazilian one), Ronaldhino, etc. These guys usually last for a decade or so and then age out of that spot. At any moment in time there are a small handful of "best in the game right now guys". Messi is one of those. Pele and Maradona are in the "best of all time" crowd with Cruyff, Franz Beckenbauer, and so on.

The thing that I like is that this team has not fired on all cylinders for 4 quarters in a game in a LONG TIME. Remember back when we were the "team that doesn't punt?" Yeah, that hasn't been true for a LONG TIME. If, at any time rolling forward, we keep winning one way or the other, but then find a way to make it all hum and sing again, we ABSOLUTELY can go on that long win streak. Absolutely! We are riding a 6 game win streak playing very patchy, sloppy, misfiring type football now and again...but we have the talent depth to find ways to win.
-
It COULD happen, but at this point I would say it is looking like he won't play for anyone this year, and definitely NOT the Bills...which disappoints me! But if they were going to do a deal with this guy, wouldn't the deal be done by NOW?
-
A football team is made of a lot of individuals. I would imagine each are thinking different things and relying on different motivations to achieve success. Whatever produces wins is what works for me.

I was amazed and happy to see a full house for this game! I guess it's easier to get around up there than I thought! This team is fun to watch and the crowd has really gotten into it a number of times this year already, including tonight. I thought we'd win, but not like THAT. Detroit was really bad in their own end we were really sharp. The mini come-back helped keep it interesting, but overall, a good win. We need to keep the streak rolling here. It would be SO MUCH more fun if we could get into close range of a playoff spot and STAY THERE for the duration of the season.
