Does anyone know how fast Brown is, right now? I would imagine he has lost a few steps; he did have a spectacular TD catch today though. The team knows better than us how fast/slow he is; that could be a factor. Replacing Davis is an off-season project IMO.

Romo is by far the best guy at his job out there. In fact, the pair of them is probably the best combo in the sport right now. Keep up the good work.

My experience is that Weather Channel is not very good. Keep an eye on local Buffalo newscasts for better info. Still too far out anyway.

Tua should not play another game this year; he should have been out after the BILLS game....then when he got his second concussion in a few days, he should have been shelved for the season. I think it's quite possible he plays--or does not play. If he does play, he is one good hit (doesn't need to slam his head into the turf and doesn't need to be a head shot, either) away from being back in the concussion protocol. If he plays, I'd be instructing the D to be very much aware of this.

I’m kind of Over the Hines Experiment

Simon's comment to you, AS A MODERATOR, are total trash...but that's to be expected around here. -

You guys can trash talk the Bengals if it makes you feel better; they will be a VERY TOUGH game if/when we run into them. I have the highest respect for them to be honest. I have already just assumed we will have to beat Bengals and Chiefs and Eagles this year....maybe the hardest 3 games in the league...in a row...to win the SB this year, but we can do it. -
What's The Likelihood That Gabe Davis Will Get A Contract Extension?
Nextmanup replied to Kangaxx's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not that he's bad at it. It's that if a ball hits him in the hands you never know if he will catch it or drop it. You simply can't play on that level and expect to have 7 figure job in the NFL. Replacing him with a star #2 WR should be the top priority of the off-season, long with substantive revamping on the OL. I would make those Jobs 1 and Jobs 1A. Oh, and find a replacement for Edmunds in the draft; I don't want to pay him the huge money he will want. -

A surprisingly exciting game filled with huge plays. Bring on the fish; no way we lose that game next week. -

I love it; no way we lose that game. They don't scare me at all! As playoff matchups go, that's fine by me. -

Tua or no Tua, that's a PLAYOFF matchup IN BUFFALO I'll take all day long. Extremely winnable game. -

Replacing Davis with an upgrade should be Off-season Job #1, along with Job 1a: fixing the OL. -
This is all I needed to see to go off on this mini-rant. BUT...I have NEVER liked the blue/gold/white and I go back to the '70s. The best Sabres team I have ever seen take the ice was in 2006--wearing those evil black uniforms. They look FANTASTIC. NEVER liked the goat head--that can be replaced, but I would vote for a return to the "new" color scheme in a heartbeat... It's funny, but the organization switched to black/white/silver/red in the first place because we were a lousy organization trying to reinvent itself and establish a new identity. Now we are trying to get out from the shadow of over a decade of being an embarrassment and easily the worst franchise in the NHL. We want to make peace with the fans and get bodies into the building. We need ANOTHER new start. GO BACK TO THE RED WHITE AND BLACK! Only this time, get rid of the goat head and put the classic old Sabres logo wit the bison and sabres on there, in the new color scheme. I could also vote for the "butter knives" to make a comeback, but on the main black or white sweater. Those looked cool, I thought. Everything that's old is new again.

I have resigned myself to accepting the reality that we are going to have to play--and beat--the Bengals AND Chiefs if we want to get to the SB. Where the Philly Eagles will be waiting for us, and they are one hell of a good football team. The good news is this is certainly possible. The bad news it's a pretty heavy lift. -
The word "tank" in the context of this game is not correct. Even if we rest the starters, that's not tanking.
-
We are now 5-0 with the goat head sweaters on...and we've scored 6 goals in EACH of the 5 games! Switch to these uniforms immediately for the rest of the season! 19,070 in attendance tonight! Let's hope this becomes a steady new thing.

What an absolutely fantastic OT! Pure drama and excitement. And we threw another win on the pile.

NFL Week #18 - Around the NFL Saturday edition

Don't fault Buck, fault the stat guy feeding him that info. -
What a crap game.
-
That's the move that makes no sense to me. What would the logic be there? Either you want to rest them, or you want to win the game. It should be a rest all game or none at all type analysis.

That game sucked. I was hoping the Raiders would show up and keep it interesting. Wrong! Anyway, in Sabres first intermission now... -
I'm not Blue, you and Josh Allen are. (All Blues vs. Pats)
Nextmanup replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the all blue more and more. Still prefer blue over white. Don't know why they can't do that all the time. -
Potential decision made for Championship Game location
Nextmanup replied to Ra-cha-cha's topic in The Stadium Wall
Atlanta makes sense to me. They're in the other conference so the local fans aren't necessarily wired to hate either team involved in the game, making it a true "neutral" site assuming some locals would go; big city that has hosted big events in the past and has all that you need to host; weather for game is guaranteed to be good.
