  1. I am totally good. No way I had them getting this far this year. This team will only be better next year. Time to take back the Division and get some home playoff games. Trust the Process. Out.
  2. They are playing with house money. Win or lose, this season has been way more than anyone expected.
  3. this season has been great. essentially 11-5 , and the wins were largely solid and the losses were close. I'll take 11-5 every season. go Josh. the process is delivering 2 wins for every loss. taking it all day and night. tremendous to have a team that is absolutely in every game , fighting for a win down to the final play. absolutely love being able to watch Bills football again. keep the process moving McBeanes.
  4. To your second line above, my sense is that many who watch the Bills intently desperately want them to be like the Chiefs, Saints, the popular entertaining offensive teams. The cool kids of the league with the shiny toys and the goats. That's fine, but McD is working to win games, and trying to imitate the cool kids and throw it all over the place with a 2nd tier offensive roster will lose you more games than it will win. Bills-style football(this year) is pretty boring, lunch pail, field position, stay in the game stuff, in comparison to the other top 10 teams. and I'm a fan. but it works. the media ignore it, bc there are no splash plays or players to sell advertising off of. but it works. Trust the Process; barring a pile of injuries, my sense is McBeanes will ultimately prevail over time.
  5. yeah Duke is nothing but a slower, bigger pass catcher who can't yet do anything else.. With limited roster sizes, If you are not a top 2 wideout or a top 2 DB , on most teams you better be a strong blocker or strong on special teams, neither of which Duke is remotely close to being. Playoff football is field position football, and what I see is we have a somewhat limited, but improving talent and therefore (IMO) field position management team, and special teams is all about gaining field position advantage. If a team like the Bills just rolls out anyone on ST they will lose the special teams field position battle and be at a bigger disadvantage than super talented teams that can just still score a bunch of points regardless of field position.. Bills obviously do not yet have the roster on offense to do that. just my view
  6. Yeldon is a talent but is a turnover risk. He will not see the field Saturday. That guy can single handedly lose you a playoff game with his propensity to fumble. He fumbles every 40-50 touches, defenses know it, and he is due. Gore is solid. Go with the solid guy. Go play playoff football on the road and work to get out of there with a win. Do not open it up and turn it over 2-3 times in the process. Sure fire way to lose a road playoff game.
  7. I trust McBeanes. they will find new guys to sign across the board. probably 2 or 3 starters and then mostly depth players mostly as this team really needs them. use the cap space to sign your own guys if you like them better than the FAs. Draft extremely well (again) as this is the best way to build a roster in WNY (where many ego centric FAs don't want to be) ; and scheme fit is critical. If they don't work in your D or O , they are off the table regardless of how shiny an object they are to fans.
  8. cooper is a head case, would be a cancer in the locker room and he doesn't like road games. the other two will be resigned. I'm not big into FAs AJ Green seems like a solid citizen , 2 year deal , but all the 30 somethings are looking for the last big deal .. Beane's won't fall for it.
  9. I live in the D.C. area. What a sh-t show the deadskins are. not much discussion about them among the locals. Go McBeanes. Trust the Process. They will get there.
  10. real character flaw in that guy. McBeanes will avoid that kind of bad actor.
  11. yeah the rosters are way too small vs the preseason to treat it like a preseason game (like 30 less guys) . Some positions, yes, but all? No. Plus IMO they're not good enough yet on offense to further than the second round (which would be awesome, compared to where they were a year ago) so lets get out there and continue to work.
  12. the national media is still reading from the same sheets ; he's inaccurate, blah blah. once they write the book on you, it never changes. Just win games.
  13. I hear Jim Brown is also available.
  14. correct. Bills aren't quite ready for top 5 football because they don't have all the pieces and experiences yet to score more than 25 points per game. Beane will get the new bodies they need and McD and BD will make all of the offense better. The NFL at the highest level is stacked towards and all about offensive football. Trust the Process of continually improving the offense. They are in no way finished. Play the starters Sunday. They need the work.
  15. yep. injuries kill seasons. Indy is prime example. I wonder what the Bills record would be this year if they had had a normal number of IR type injuries to starters?
  16. nah, not happening this year. but the process is paying off this year, instead of next year. always thought it would take 3 years minimum to recover from Rex/Whaley debacle and build a culture of disciplined cap management , solid drafting and locker room rebuilding. they did it in two years. they will simply continue and the results will improve. Now is not the time. They cannot score enough points to beat the top 5 teams. But the day will come as they will stick to their conceptual framework and continue to improve across the board. Wins and success will just "happen" as a by product of their process.
  17. I don't think he's much of a runner. Not terribly elusive, just a straight ahead runner. NFL safeties and LBs will eventually kill him and turn him over until they do. Good change of pace guy like the guy in Philly, not much more.
  18. Next year they finish their last drives against the Ravens and Pats. They still don't have the potency on either side of the ball. The offensive roster will be better. My guess is they continue to improve the roster on offense and defense and Josh will be one year better. The process of building a great locker room and competing every game is and will pay dividends. Hopefully McBeanes will stay the course, don't overspend for shiny objects, draft extremely well and coach better. The wins will be there if they do.
  19. This gets fixed in the offseason IMO via draft and free agency. Offense not scoring enough points for Bills to be a top 5 team. Not sure what they will bring in, but based on the history they will bring people in.
  20. Not sure. Probably play it like a 3rd preseason game? Be interesting to see what advice McD gets from all his confidants in the coaching ranks. Did Carolina ever have this situation when he was there?
  21. Just keep running him over when he does the obvious pick play. One of these days he won't get up. and that will be the end of that. the players police themselves.
  22. Yes he has a ways to go, but the team around him is very good, playing complimentary football and competing. He may always struggle with accuracy, but he is compensating for it to this point. He is a gamer. They are winning games. Go Bills.
  23. yeah you lose your starter at QB and the season usually goes to sh-t. no surprises there. steelers, lions, jags, all kaput bc of long term key injuries to key starters.... whatever. can't fire the players, so you fire the front office guys -- no cap hit there! whatever. turnovers lose games. key injuries to key starters lose seasons.
  24. exactly. Jordan can be more readily replaced. Guys like Star are few are far between. Scouts and teams know this. Will be an interesting test for Beane to handle this one, along with a few others (Milano, the O Line guys, etc. ) .. Next up Challenge for the McBeanes is can they hang on to their hand picked guys who have made the locker room as tight as it appears to be. Trust it. They will figure it out.
  25. Pro Bowl is a joke. The reason the Bills have 90m in cap space is they are a team, not a handful of $100m pro bowl shiny toys surrounded by low end talent. I'll take the super bowl over the pro bowl every day. and WNY will never be hailed, respected or even acknowledged by the TV ratings focused national media in our lifetiimes, so forget that. Just enjoy it. This is a special year free from injuries, team playing well enough win 2 out of every three games, seems like a great tight locker room. This doesn't come along very often for most teams. Sit back and enjoy.
