  1. yeah, Shaq was a great edge setter, got big and strong; they just did not want to pay him... probably should have, but then TreWhite prob gets away... TreWhite is prob more valuable than a run first 3-4 edge setter. Cap will be low next year, probably good they didn't break the bank for Phillips and Shaq ? Teams with a lot of big contracts will be restructuring and therefore dead-cap-=exposure crushed to make the Cap limit next year. Seems Beane will be able to largely avoid that yep, I'll be a lot happier when Edmunds and Milano are healthy and out there together (probably after the bye for Milano would be my guess, given how long it took Mongo to get back) .. Klein is not very effective. Put 44 out there. Can't be any worse than 54.

  3. he is david carr; ie; we'll never know what he could have been, given how bad the rest of their offensive roster is.. he is probably toast, ruined by those around him at a minimum
  4. Yeah I know, but that is what teams are doing. Cover 2 zone takes away the easy crossing stuff Josh was hitting a month ago. It just does. Plus a LB is spying him, so he can't run bc everyone is in zone watching him. So you quick pitch the ball to the outside, run the edges to take advantage of a 5 man secondary backing up at the snap. Boring as dirt, yes. But it works, especially in crap weather. Take your shots when the pull up to the line. Becomes very tactical. Very cat and mouse. The Chiefs can dictate given their overwhelming talent on offense, but they are about it. The goal is the win the game. Whatever it takes to get that win, ugly or pretty to watch.
  5. Agree, unless they get healthy and that makes a big difference and gets them on a roll. I could see Bills losing the next two games, but going 4-2 after the bye given the schedule (S.Fran looks beat up, Phins, Pats, Broncos, Chargers they will compete straight up or better with). Obviously, somehow getting past Seattle puts them back on the map, but that game looks like a bad bet with a bunch of guys playing in shoulder slings. Teams have decided to play 2 deep zone to neutralize both the crossing routes and Josh's running; so the willing will be ugly (run game, underneath zone passing, etc) , so all the exciting offense of the first month is likely reduced, making them less media-interesting even if they do win.
  6. Hopefully, some guys are getting healthy. If Brown, Milano , Edmunds, Hyde, Morse , etc etc. are still walking wounded for the next 2 weeks, a split of the next two games would be an amazing achievement. This team needs the bye like no one else.. The injuries have hit exactly where the team is thin (eg. LB) so the bye could not come at a better time. Next man up is garbage in today's NFL. You get a bunch of key injuries , you are largely screwed if you are playing top 10 teams. No way they get past Seattle/RWilson unless they are healthier than I think they are. Don't know much about Az. My guess is the media ignores until December at the earliest.
  7. was a short field turnover game I believe... I would need to know average drive start, etc.
  8. Hell, we could have a half dozen starters out by then as well... relax whiners, one week at a time
  9. and I usually don't drink that heavily in the morning... hmm.. pandemic has finally gotten to me
  10. He was actually pretty good until that scramble/knee injury in that Browns (?) Thursday nighter. He was never the same after that for some reason.
  11. great point. I forgot that concussions are a big part of his career... wow.. interesting situation...
  12. Dodsons' on IR, Milano can't punch, Hyde is out; Edmunds calls the damn defense; what do you suggest, Einstein? They stuffed the Pats run pretty much all game. I get that it's a fan board, but geez, what a bunch of whiners with a 6-2 team, 4-0 in the division. geez.
  13. I solid 1 Tech would be the need at this point. They are rare. The good ones. You will pay dearly for them, and then Star comes back next year. interesting problem for Beane to solve. I think he will.
  14. Bills don't play a MLB. sigh. Milano is obviously being worked back in on passing downs when he doesn't need to take on 330lb guards. He'll be back playing every down soon enough.
  15. Yeah, we'll see most of the roster on the field for the first time in awhile today. Should be a messy, wet windy, low scoring game. Just go find a way to win. Pats are better than the Jets team they had to come back to beat last week, so nothing is solid this week.
  16. Coming out of an NFL strength and conditioning program, he'll be bigger and stronger next year. You'll see. I'm not concerned at all. Good pick.
  17. there will be multiple restructurings for next year, due to the cap being significantly lower than this year. Hydes will simply be one of them. I want a run for a SB next year. Hyde is part of that.
  18. home divisional game. SBs rarely won by team that does not win its division. divisional W/L record is a big deal in doing so. conference W/L record matters as well, (i think?) wether its Jets, Phins, Pats, that makes it big. go win.
  19. Seattle/Arizona won't be able to pound the run like titans and chiefs did. So I see the Bills competitive in both, especially as they get healthy. So every game will be winnable once they get healthy.
  20. suck it up. no worries... Star will be back next year, probably heavier (LOL)
  21. refs gave us the Rams game, so no complaints from me
  22. nah, the fan base is cool. they ID with team just like a college town. kinda cool really. when its good, its really good. the "process" drives people nuts, but building a long term program is what college HCs try to do, so it all fits. be good every year, get a little better every year... "build the program" is what McBeanes are doing. no going after shiny objects... you can see them hanging onto next years draft picks, they want them all .. I think it is great. build the program, keep building, and the wins will take care of themselves... go bills
