Those 'Poor' People earning $200k
cle23 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I agree, to an extent. My wife and I claimed $296,000 last year. My wife makes about $42,000. I own a small metal fabrication company with profits about $200,000 last year, and payroll of about $54,000 for myself. I paid about $55,000 into taxes, so it looks like I can just walk away with $150,000 at the end of the year but it didn't work that way. The company needs operating money. I took out around $10,000 to cover my Roth and throw some in another investment account. We live ok, but nothing lavish. A house worth half our towns average ( ours is around 100k). Newer car, but a Subaru, not a BMW or some high dollar model. So $200,000 didn't mean some extravagant lifestyle of the rich. -
I said he has been above-average to great depending on the season. He's won an MVP. He averages 30 TDs and 16 turnovers per year, which for a running QB and including fumbles isn't too terrible. He averages 600 yards rushing per year, to go along with 3600 yards passing. If healthy he has more physical talent than most. The main factor will be if he is healthy.

I think that, and they think he'll finally be healthy. Now, staying healthy is another issue. When healthy, Newton is above average to great, depending on the year.

Not fired? If I do that, I'm in prison. -

Are you insinuating that the officers had seen his old Twitter posts and reacted to a perceived threat because of it? -
I think if he had it in his system without being approved by the NFL he can still be punished even if it wasn't an NFL test.

He's at Alabama.

If you can't not drink while driving, you may have a problem. People who act like drinking alcohol while driving is ok or normal need help. I'm not saying 1 or 2 gets would impair most people, but if it's against the law, and could impair you and you still feel like you need to, it's a problem.

2021 NFL Draft Official Dates Announced
cle23 replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The top two TV markets for the NFL draft this year were Cleveland and Columbus. Nobody's overtaking the Browns on their own draft party. This is usually all we have to look forward to. -
They did because everyone knew who the Buccaneers needed. But, when you have a 42 year old QB and protection problems, you give up a pick to ensure you get the last of the Big 4 tackles.

2020 NFL Draft Round 2 and 3 Discussion.

I'm a Michigan fan and Peoples Jones should be there in the 6th. He's not good. -
Justin Herbert is being predicted to Miami over Tua
cle23 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They wouldn't have to give up 18, 26, and a 2nd to move 2 spots. I could see maybe 26. Maybe just a 2nd. Detroit will likely get the same player at 5 than at 3. -
2 1sts and a 2nd for a corner? That seems extremely excessive, but it may be the case. Or Isaiah Simmons to combat McCaffrey.

Report - Browns in discussion with Vikings on OBJ trade
cle23 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OBJ also played all of last year with a sports hernia. Can to provide examples? They both tend to have a loud mouth but as far as I know Beckham's never been fined or suspended. -

The Browns big mistake last year was hiring Kitchens. We'll see about Stefanski, but he seems to be much more organized. The Bills did well hiring McDermott. The guys running the Browns FO now wanted him rather than Hue Jackson years ago, do I honestly think they'll run similar programs. It's just funny when people act like the Bills are perennial SB contenders. -

The Bills have been 1 and done twice in 3 years, and 3 years ago they had to back in on a Bengals prayer game. Congrats. Cleveland beat Buffalo last year. Either way, neither team has done anything impressive for years. -
Report - Browns in discussion with Vikings on OBJ trade
cle23 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Diggs has been traded as times as OBJ. Diggs was fined $200,000 for missed meetings and causing problems last year. It's funny how people convince themselves their guy is a better guy just because, despite evidence that says otherwise. -

MKC from the Plain Dealer says a source in the Browns' FO called the report "false." 1 word answer. -

This is gold coming from a Bills fan. We've both sucked forever. -
Still slow burning over bad calls in Texans' game
cle23 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The touchback call I think was just common sense. He obviously gave himself up in the endzone, so it's a touchback. The delay of game is hard to tell. The broadcast didn't always show the right numbers. By the picture it was, but there's no way to tell if it actually was a penalty. The "helmet to helmet" wasn't a penalty. To me that's not even close. I do think the crack back penalty was a bit excessive for what happened. -

Cooks had 580 yards last year and has an extensive concussion history. This trade isn't as bad as the Hopkins trade, but it's still bad. And they wouldn't have needed to do it if he hadn't traded Hopkins. They're chasing their tail and getting significantly worse. -

Bill O'Brien is an idiot. He essentially just traded Hopkins for Cooks and basically moved up 17 spots in the 2nd round. Terrible, terrible trade.
