"Josh Allen is blowing people away" - Chris Simms
Da webster guy replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's just trolling. I have a neighbor like that, just says completely stupid things as if he's the real expert and knows more than everyone else. Uh...yeah....you know... um Evidence and stuff. Yeah ok dude, go back to watching CSI Wyoming. We all know there are some years like EJ's draft where college doesn't produce a single franchise qb, and ultimately its an educated guess as to who will make it, but Allen is a heckuva prospect. Funny that the current top qb's Brees, Rodgers and Brady were all in the bottom half of the first round or lower. Definitely some luck involved. We deserve to hit on this pick, and I think we will. -
The Bills did not "luck" into the playoffs
Da webster guy replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we don't have Haushka there's no way we get in. He won us two games with long range bombs most kickers miss if they even attempt at all. We got lucky in the snow game with the missed kick at point blank range, the deonte bomb, interference call etc. Dude we lucked out a lot. But so what -
Question about seat views
Da webster guy replied to NEBuffaloBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A big part of the game is on the replay screens, so I would be sure you have a good view of the jumbo. Vast majority of seats do. I personally think that 15-30 rows up is a sweet spot. I like picking one end of the field or another vs the 50 yard line, there's nothing like a TD or big play on your end of the field. It's a gamble, but it IS the Titans after all, so we'll be scoring some on them. Also don't discount front row upper deck. Those seats can be found resale, and they're awesome too. -
Wonder where Denzel Ward will end up for Cleveland. I'm still baffled they didn't trade back out of that 4 spot with us at 12. Could have still nabbed a top corner (possibly even Ward) and TWO more second round picks. Will likely end up being viewed as a bonehead move by Cleveland.

Don’t be a high maintenance poster

I like to post like a white defensive back: A heady poster, who knows his limitations and plays within his skill set. Unfortunately I'm more of a "sputtering low motor" guy -
Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]
Da webster guy replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But they already DID get rid of him. He chose to retire. We drafted his replacement, it was over. Personally I would have either paid him his $1 Mil (a bonus for being on the roster for 2018 which he is not) or let him look elsewhere but not both. Whatever. I always liked the guy, I hope he's healthy and happy in retirement. I would suggest he get tested for CTE just in case. He played hard. -
Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]
Da webster guy replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait. He signed a contract and then quit before he fulfilled it. Are you saying he deserves the free $mil? He got paid in full last year, that's doing the right thing. Awarding roster bonus money to a retired player isn't a precedent any team would set Dawk is our best lineman, and was for the 2nd half of last year. Richie is good but Dawk is great. -
Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]
Da webster guy replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with you guys. Delete the stupid Richie retired thread and start a new one. So annoying to have to page through months old posts because God forbid we can't have two threads on the same guy. In other news, why did we release him and give the guy a free $mil and potentially have to play against him again. Beane says all moves are to make the team better, this doesn't pass the smell test. -
Harrison Phillips Senior Stats vs Suh
Da webster guy replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey if he's built like a guard, I know a team that's in need of two guards....... just sayin -
All qb's miss seeing open receivers, even the elite ones. But Tyrod did it more than most. He had Woods Sammy and Goodwin, all guys that have proven they can get separation in this league, and he still underwhelmed. I think Streater will have an impact if he has the camp he had last year. Remember Benjamin gets hurt a lot, he's basically another Sammy/Goodwin as far as reliability, so we'll need some veterans to step up at some point this year. Kerley might beat out Zay for the slot duties.

Buffalo News in financial trouble
Da webster guy replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Print newspapers aren't dying because of high operating costs. Declining revenues in print and classified ads are killing them. Buffet said he thinks only the NY Times and Wall Street Journal will survive in the long run. And unfortunately Jerry Sullivan still remains alive, like an old scarred cockroach. -
I'll always remember Eli from the way he handled the draft, that dumb, smug entitled look on his face when San Diego picked him despite him whining he didn't want to play there. Lost all respect for the guy, glad his career and team are in the toilet.

Jordan Mills second team All-Pro?
Da webster guy replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well he did grade out pretty well last season in run blocking, maybe that Chargers game was just a bad day at the office for him. -
Red Helmets Red End Zones for me Its the Red Zone for god's sake, make it pop. Maybe we'll get there more often.

Not afraid of the Fins this season. The one surprise I see coming is Quinn having a monster year for them. He's 100% back from that injury and will be a disruptive force for them. Have a buddy that works for the Rams, says they couldn't keep him but really wanted to. He said look for him to do what Chandler Jones did last year on the field.

Blake Bortles - catcher of bad guys
Da webster guy replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good analogy. Skulls and spines baby. I admit I still have trouble with putting any blame on our defense that day, going on the road in a playoff game and holding Fournette and some good receivers to embarrassingly low yardage and point totals. I mean geez we can't score 11 points for the win? Jags defense is overrated. Niners and Steelers shredded em for 40+ at the end of the season. They rank in the bottom half of the league in stopping the run, Fournette's a beast but never even broke the 4 ypc mark last year and barely broke 1000 yards. Lost some good receivers too. If you want a solid bet, take em for for the season under 9.5 wins (they had ten last year). If Calais Campbell gets hurt they're even more screwed, and he's getting to be an old timer. Hackett/Bortles/Dareus = 7 wins this year. -
2018 Season Record Predictions
Da webster guy replied to gr8billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Murphy can regain form off the edge, and Edmunds learns quickly, we can have a nasty defense this year. Our run stopping and dbacks are very good already. Its just a huge question mark at qb and Oline so its nearly impossible to predict how we will move the ball. Ten wins would be awesome. -
Aside from the obvious few, as of late I really liked Karlos a few years ago, he had some flashes of brilliance. Would have been a great tandem with a guy like Shady. And he had decent hands. Poor kid he just never had the brain. C.J. was really fun too, when he was having an ON game. He won us a few singlehandedly for sure. Had some drinks with him at the Sand Bar in Canandaigua he was such a nice dude.

Still remember my first training camp watching Moulds play. I was against the fence and he caught a few in front of me. He looked ten feet tall out there and was in such good shape. Ripping the ball away from guys, one handers, short routes, go routes. What a player. The Bledsoe Peerless Moulds big year was a fun offense to watch for sure.

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
Da webster guy replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Obviously he's least likely. But I'm predicting he'll have a better camp than McCarron and Allen won't get thrown to the wolves until we see our O-line perform in a real game. McD threw a rookie to the wolves last year on probably our worst day in pass protection of the year. I think he'll be hesitant to do so again, especially considering the likelihood of very little (if any) chemistry or experience with the guy playing next to you on the offensive line. Week 9 for Allen. Don't rush the kid. -
