  1. whaley's work paid off last draft, if there was a redraft, TreD, Dawkins and Milano would all go higher. Zay lower but technically last years draft isn't over until we select KC's first rounder. Thats very likely gonna be the 4th impact player, 5 if Zay pans out. Gotta give Whaley some props for that.
  2. Everything depends on the offer they get. Would you take a 1st rounder for him? Philly may have won the superbowl but they sucked on defense. Pats receivers were running wide open all day and they got shredded for 600+ yards. They traded us a pick for Darby so they're down a pick already, Peters may never make it back to his original form, and they obviously need Dback help. Before you say they won't trade him you need to know what they're being offered. Only an idiot GM would say "hey sorry but we just aren't taking offers at this time..." Personally I think Jax would offer their first rounder for the guy. He could complete that team nicely.
  3. Say what you want, Chandler is a game changing all pro in his prime, and the Patriots have ZERO pass rush. Foles was barely touched all night, as Belichick pointed out in his post game. Just because Pats have won superbowls since he left is meaningless, were wrong to deal him. I watched every Zona game he dominated about half of them. He would have been a force against the backup tackle for philly.
  4. Davis had some great plays too. He's gonna win a roster spot again and rotate in behind Jerry. Looked like our best pass rusher for a few games there.
  5. Seems like half the mock drafts now are projecting us to take a center. We already have a great backup center in Groy. Did not allow a sack all season in 2016 from 291 pass-blocking snaps. He started the final seven games of the season for us when Wood got hurt in 2016. Played very well, especially in the final two games of the season against tough defensive lines of Jets and Fins. Didn’t allow a sack all season, and surrendered just nine total pressures – seven across those final seven games. 6'5 inches and 325 lbs. 27 years old but not a lot of miles on him. Smart guy. After being thrown into the fire — and not performing all too well — in that crazy Seahawks game that we would have won if we had an average kicker, Groy was a solid in both pass and run. His strong play down the stretch was why we matched the two-year, $5 million offer from the Rams. He will kickass in there.
  6. It certainly could happen that way. The Bills would have zero incentive to hurry in a pick on 21, you never know if the phone will ring or not. If something has upside but zero downside you do it. The problem is if we haven't traded up for a qb at that point I will have pressed my DOOMSDAY button and obliterated the entire Metro NY area out of frustration. And that would screw up the whole draft anyway....
  7. Fournette and Zeke both have shown massive impact on the games they played, and both teams are not the same without them. Same reason Barkley will go very high this draft, immediate impact.
  8. Strange decision, but I think the game came down to the Pats having zero pass rush. They looked like the Bills out there. No matter how good your corners are, there needs to be pressure on the qb or you're going to lose. Shaq Lawson, please get healthy and have a monster year next season for us. You were the 19th overall pick we need ya buddy.
  9. I'll never understand people who like the NFL but refuse to watch the superbowl. Maybe I'm just lucky that I have a family and friends that enjoy get togethers and parties. What a great time. Even the Falcons loss last year was still exciting football despite the whiners winning it.
  10. meh. average coach. they didnt force a single punt tonite, 12 men on the field penalty, he has great players. He isn't some wizard, plays fairly straight up, seems to have abandoned the Wide 9 for majority of sets. McD and Frasier did quite well with less.
  11. They can't be too psyched. Every single coach from NE has tanked once they left, he'll go the same way as Weiss, Crennel, McDaniel, Mangini etc. All failed, fired head coaches. Pats D is a joke, imagine if they didn't have brady giving them long rests and huge leads to play with. Poor Detroit got hoodwinked, and Indy too with McDaniel. Fools.
  12. i agree and I've said this since he traded Chandler Jones trying to be cute--he should have learned from the Seymour deal- don't dump great young players in their prime. He gave away the 2017 best defensive end in football for basically nothing and it cost him the championship. They have zero pass rush now, and got chewed up because of it. Foles had all day back there, and the GENIUS is to blame. Loved seeing Kraft and his ridiculous mullet with that whiny smug look on his face when he realized that they lost. so satisfying.
  13. depends what he's going to be paid and what free agents are out there (if any) that could help the team more for the money. hard to imagine anyone having more impact but i havent seen the free agent list recently, sometimes you have to release these vets to get younger and better. if we can trade Glenn and TT, we'll have about $48m total to play with, and could make a huge splash in free agency.
  14. yeah and Rosen seems to have that Jay Cutler vibe, like he's been special his whole life and he's a bit of a dickhead because of it. a perfect fit for the either of the two New Jersey teams.
  15. when evaluating trade up options, you need to use a chart like the Jimmy Johnson one. 21 and 22 don't get you even close to #1, Preston's contract status and weaknesses arent enough to fill the gap. Plus you're making the huge assumption we know who is worthy of the first pick. If there was a Luck type guy I'd be all for it, but there isn't.
  16. Kaepernick tends to get off track in his dropback with regularity. He’ll move needlessly, creating pressure that wouldn’t have existed. Or at the very least, his needless movement will get him out of sync with the timing of his receivers’ routes. It's proven over and over again and i'm pretty sure I've watched every NFL play this guy has played. Clayton said the other day he would be dangerous coming into a game if you didn't know he was playing, but game planning against him he lands right around a 70 qbr pretty consistently since his rookie season. He's RG3 only dumber.
  17. well, actually yeah it was a choice of pass or run and there is nothing wrong with Dennisons call or Tyrod's decision-making here. Kelvin is a red zone monster and Tyrod is going to keep that ball up and away where it's either a TD or incomplete. There are two cardinal rules of football offensively when you have short yardage goal to go: Oline must not jump, and NO stupid offensive PI. Kelvin blew it with a blatant push off that even Gronk would have been flagged for. Cost us dearly. Not Rico or TT's fault.
  18. dude we are drafting a qb high in a strong class and have lots of extra picks first time that's happened in a long time. get excited.
  19. Last year that dude had the most dominant performance against us I've ever seen by an individual defensive player. Eric Wood looked like a ragdoll (come to think of it, he sort of looks like one anyway) and they kept trying to chip him, double etc. One man wrecking crew. The way to beat the Pats is interior pressure, and they have very mediocre guards. The big fella might be a good bet on a prop flyer for MVP. Currently the odds on my betting site show $10 gets you $260 if he gets MVP. Also of interest is Ertz getting you $190 on a $10 flyer for MVP
  20. Whoever has the best camp. Peterman Our new rookie Experienced vet at reasonable cap number that wants to be the next Keenum or Foles but isn't Fitz or Bradford .
  21. The Jacksonville game alone should have sealed it for you. A good NFL qb wins that game every time. All 22 spotlighted him he missed multiple basic reads, Romo also pointed out several blatant progression errors. He's done man. I love TT but he's done.
  22. So Bortles has a better winning percentage in the playoffs than Big Ben. Despite his 87 passing yards against us..... I think this means we need to draft crappy qb's from here on out.
