  1. Kroft is supposedly a great guy, helpful etc. Dude has 4 years in the league, 8TD's 66 catches for 670 yards, he learned behind Eifert who had excellent skills. That's enough veteran for me at the position. Now let the kids fight it out. I still think Croom is going to make the cut at TE, he's more of a receiver but started to block pretty well as the year went on, even singled up against some good pass rushers.
  2. Yeah I agree. Elway is a good example of someone who has made some decent moves but if he doesn't finally land a stellar qb in the next few years he's getting replaced.
  3. Jets, Bills, Browns. All 3 or more wins over last year. Jets middle is now QW and Leonard Williams upfront, CJ freakin Mosley in the middle and Jamal Adams behind him. All elite players. Scary.
  4. Well if John Wick says it's a good idea, it's definitely happening. If John Breech says it, there's no chance it's happening, because he lives in his mom's basement
  5. If I were Ziggy, considering his injuries and that his career might be ending here in the next few years, I'm going to whoever gives me the most guaranteed cash. Personally I see Trent Murphy coming on this season. He's the same type of player injury risk but has the skills to get to the qb. Don't count that guy out yet. His body is still young, he just had three different things last year and he wasn't able to be anywhere near 100%
  6. Is Pancho in Hospice? One outlet used that word, hope they're wrong. Poor dude I hope he's ok.
  7. To me he looks like the same size as he's always been. Have always liked him since he ripped up the senior bowl, and glad to see him coming on strong last year. Sad to see people still slamming Zay for his drops as a rookie. He overcame that nicely last year and I can't remember a single drop all season (maybe one). Stood out in the Miami game, knows how to keep moving and playing through the whistle, a good trait to have when you have a QB like Josh who can extend a drop back to five or six seconds.
  8. I'd probably hedge $500 in that case instead of the full grand because I'd have to have a guaranteed payout to make up for the fact that I'd be vomiting for a little while after I placed the Jets bet. Speaking of the Jets. They're starting to worry me a little. They have the best middle of the field on defense in the entire league. Adams at safety (elite), CJ Mosley at MLB (elite) and now Quinnen Williams and Leonard Williams in the middle, both of them monsters. I'm far less concerned with LeVeon than the way this defense is shaping up for them.
  9. Agree with this. Beane is the master of low downside, high upside short term moves, and picking up the option meets all that criteria. The guy is a solid DE, as George Costanza might say, "right in the meaty part of the curve....not fallin behind....not showin off...." He's not a head case, seems to be a good team player. Doesn't take plays off. Still refining his game. Low cost for this season. Probably beats out anyone else we have behind him in the rotation. Trent Murphy is an injury machine, if he and Hughes went down we'd really need the Shaq to step it up.
  10. Slants are timing based. More footwork based than anything. I remember a few being behind, but also remember Baker Mayfield missing some wide open slants as well. I think (and hope) its simply rookie growing pains, and improving is mostly a function of reps and more reps.
  11. Yeah i saw a handful of his pulls. Seems very quick and picked the right target. He'll be a solid addition for sure.
  12. McD has always said he adjusts his Dline rotation based on in-game analysis and how his line is handling their matchups. If Ed is consistently winning and doesnt seem gassed you can expect him to stay in. He does that with Jerry when he gets hot. Remember that Kyle and Star are older dudes carrying more weight. If Ed plays like we hope he will, there isn't a sub-package I can think of that wouldn't include that guy. Penetrating 3 techs are great vs run, pass, short yardage, goal line, 3rd and longs etc
  13. All four receivers get separation. Did you see anyone cover Foster since week 10 last year? Nope. Put up elite numbers. Beasley gets crazy open, and Zay/Brown are both good players. Daboll wanted a blue chip Oline, a good TE and an elusive young back. He knows our WR's are good.
  14. Yeah i agree. Almost nobody gets around the edge in the pros. Its all about the quickness, vision and decison making. He looks fun this kid. I like fun.
  15. i can't believe I'm commenting on another mock. I need a life. Anyway watch for a trade down that nabs Risner and Dexter Lawrence.
  16. dude be careful i got nuked here once by the mods for a political reference. they're very sensitive peeps those boys............
  17. I think Oliver drops and Hock is there too at 9. Oliver has to be higher on the board, but we need both positions and both guys should be fine pro's. I say Hock.
  18. He is for me. The ball literally jumps off his foot and goes instantly higher than seems possible. I don't know if it's even possible to block a FG with this cat. I'm still amazed at how far down the pecking order kickers go as far as draft, scouting etc. Browns win their division last year with Justin Tucker on their team. Awful kicking cost them at least two wins from the first 3 games and another mid season. If I was a billionaire owner I'd have a $5M bounty out worldwide to find the best kicker. Contests, tryouts and prizes from Brazil to South Africa, Russia to Australia. It's a simple thing to set up, doesn't require any analysis or guesswork, it's all math (adjusted for temp and elevations of course). All the money spent on developing a good team and guys like Justin Tucker go UNDRAFTED. Biggest impact player on the team next to QB and nobody even talks about em. Would not happen on my watch.
  19. i dont even know what this post was trying to say, but someone please end it. two more days to the draft, and we've officially bottomed out
  20. Jets have enough new additions coming, and they'll have a chance to get QW or Bosa, probably the closest to a sure thing on the Dline we've seen in a long time. Of course any team will trade down for the right offer, but getting a stud Dlineman is something the Jets need. I doubt they move anywhere.
  21. This is a guess, but I think McD has been assigned to working with the scouts focusing on the LB and Dback evaluations. They're trusting the coach and scouting staff to produce another gem from day 3. I can see the meetings now McD: So is he a high character, high motor, hard worker? Staff: Yeah coach. He really is. McD: Smart? Get's along well with others? Team First Guy ? Staff: Yeah coach...he really is everything we want on our squad McD: Former Wrestl---? Staff (interrupting) No coach. Never wrestled. And he's uh....well he's an atheist. McD: He's trash. Who else ya got?
  22. And Ol' Marv made the kid sit on the bench. Had him returning kicks.
  23. Def a homer statement on my part. But I watch a lot of offensive film. I dont always know what routes are supposed to be run, but I do know separation when I see it, and we have four guys that do it very well. Foster had elite numbers from week 10 on, and Zay was only inconsistent his rookie year dude. Last year he made a big step in reliability and had huge plays for us. Josh doesnt need another WR, he needs pass protection, a run game, and a TE.
  24. Their draft board is set. Scouts will be reachable if needed but its Mayock and Gruden's show now. Neither one of those clowns has GM experience, and the two trades were headscratchers, but I feel awful for Raiders fans getting their team snatched away from them to relocate in another city, so I hope they have a crappy draft. Serves em right.
  25. Zero chance Beane takes Metcalf. If you know the NFL and you follow the Bills you know we have 4 WR that have proven they can get separation and catch the ball. Foster and Beasley will be a top tandem this year. Nobody can cover those two guys. What we don't have is TE, Edge, IDL, LB depth etc. I think we will go big men in 1st and 2nd. My guess is D first if Oliver is there, then Risner in the 2nd, otherwise Jawaan OT then Tillery in the 2nd. We arent getting suckered into an injury prone, steroid guy like Metcalf to be our WR5
