I think they're forcing Cody Ford into a lineup where he's not ready to start yet. Feliciano is a better guard and Ty is a better RT. Rotating in a rookie on a defensive line or at a skill position makes sense, but playing an Olineman because he was drafted high can upset your Oline continuity, chemistry and get your QB killed. I'd say bring him in as the 6th Olineman on short power runs but the way Lee Smith blocked Sunday i'd rather have Lee in there (basically holds every time but is really good at not getting flagged. So far)

This team needs to keep focusing on batted balls, which Shaq is excellent at. We got quite a few yesterday but could have had even more. Two separate incidents I can recall, one with Trent Murphy and one with Siran Neal, both closing in on Darnold but knowing they're not going to get there for a sack, should have simply raised their arms and it's a batted ball. He threw completions and the ball zipped past them within a foot of their heads both times. Many times batted balls become INT's like Jets had yesterday, better than a sack by a long way. Shaq has steadily come on these past few years, just needing to be healthy and get experience. He must know if he keeps playing like this he'll get a deal midseason.

Hmmm. I think Mosley and Adams are the best safety/LB duo in the league with regard to run stopping. We can't be slamming Gore and Motor into an 8 man box all day. QW vs Mitch Morse and our interior line will be fun to watch. QW hasn't been outstanding yet in preseason. Expect less carries for loss with Gore than Shady.

Shady was really our best player in 2017 and added a lot of excitement to that team.
