We already have Von Miller on the team, we just need to ask his girlfriend how to get out of choke-holds.

And for what it's worth in the Jaguars game Diggs was actually open. Allen made a decent throw and it got wrestled away from Diggs

You missed this one 3rd & 20 at BUF 40 (6:27 - 3rd) (Shotgun) J.Allen pass deep left intended for G.Davis INTERCEPTED by K.Fuller at WAS 19. K.Fuller to WAS 19 for no gain (G.Davis). WAS-K.Fuller was injured during the play. I remember a post on Reddit someone put together a list for the top 5 least damaging INTs of the season for the entire league. Josh had 3 of the top 5. So yea, throwing 3 arm punt INTs over the season isn't some huge number, but when Josh has thrown more of those than the rest of the league combined I think it's a fair thing to bring up.

What NFL rules changes would you like to see?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Start enforcing false start penalties correctly. It drives me nuts watching tackles move ~2 seconds before the snap and the refs don't call it (most of the time) because the guy is "adjusting his back foot". The back foot adjustment is NOT part of the written rule. Lane 'false starts every play' Johnson is making a HOF career out of it. -
Von Miller +25,000 DPOY Odds
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Evidence? You do realize Von Miller played in 14 games (including playoffs) last season? It's understandable if you didn't notice that he was playing...the man was a ghost out there and finished the season with 3 tackles and no sacks. Watching him in any of those games should be all the evidence anyone needs to know he's a washed up bum. -
Von Miller +25,000 DPOY Odds
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a BIG difference between age 33 and age 35 for edge rushers. If statmuse is correct there's been 19 seasons in NFL history where a player age 35+ had 10+ sacks. There's also a big difference between 10+ sacks and the 4.5 line I came up with. Von Miller is a washed up bum though so i'll take the under. Wager: 100 units of pride I'll bump the thread in January to celebrate if I win, or earlier If I lose to eat some crow. -
Von Miller +25,000 DPOY Odds
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Von Miller that had 8 sacks in 11 games was 'only' 33 years old and was not coming off a major knee injury. The 2024 Von Miller is 35 years old and coming off a major knee injury. I'd put the betting line for his sack total on the season at 4.5 -

2nd worst contract on the team only behind Von Miller
-
The contract we gave him is going to make any trade difficult. Knox has a 7.7mm active cap hit for the coming season and if we trade him we'll incur 17mm in dead cap (the date of the trade can spread that out over the next 2 seasons). Pre June 1st trade: 2024 dead cap: 17.5mm Post June 1st trade: 2024 dead cap: 5.0mm 2025 dead cap: 12.5mm The other thing to consider with a trade is what would we get back? Knox just had the worst year of his career posting 22 catches for 186 yards and 2 TDs with 4 drops in 13 games. Saying he had a bad year is an understatement. I can't imagine we'd do better than a 5th rd pick. Given that he is not a lockerroom cancer (ala Diggs) and already restructured his contract this offseason to take a paycut, I think it's pretty clear we're going to stick with him this season. The best we can hope for is he improves on last season and can fix the drop issues. It's hard to believe he'll ever be worth that contract though

Chiefs Bills Playoff Replay / Bass Kicking
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he got the yips after the Giants game when he missed 2 50+ yard FGs and nearly cost us the game. He started the year 9/9 up until the Giants game then went 15/20 to finish the regular season. McD decided to punt instead of have Bass attempt a 50-55 yarder multiple times in this stretch. He was a mind boggling 2/5 in the playoffs. I imagine he was a very real cut candidate, but his active cap hit is 4.4mm and dead cap would be 7.4mm. -
Jets game it's fair to blame Josh. I think it's fair to blame the Denver game on the offense for 4 turnovers, but not on Josh in particular. He had 1 bad INT, Cook lost a fumble, Gabe let a perfect throw go through his hands for an INT, and there was a botched handoff between Allen/Cook. Patriots game though? He had 1 turnover (not counting the last second intentional fumble). The DEF gave up 29 points to a Mac Jones led team that was in a death spiral. The Pats didn't score more than 17 points in the 5 weeks before or after this game. Accounting for the opposition this game might be the worst defensive performance in McD's tenure.

Realistic "Transition Year" Expectations
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have 65mm in dead cap this coming season. That's around 25% of our total cap allocated to players to NOT PLAY for us. We have a DC with 0 experience and an OC with half a season of experience. We also have an albatross of a contract in Von Miller who looked 100% cooked last season. We could've replaced him with a FA off the street and gotten better production at the position. Maybe 35 year old Miller will have a return to form this season but I doubt it. Knox is another highly paid player that had a disastrously bad season. At least there's no reason to think he can't improve this season and approach his previous production. I think a realistic expectation is 10 wins and a WC appearance. Anything beyond that would require a LOT of luck -
How many passes could you complete?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Ya Digg?'s topic in The Stadium Wall
If I was QB and the play-calling were real plays? Exactly 0. I'd probably die on the field on the first play. If I could sit back in shotgun and immediately heave it downfield as high as I could "500" style I'm sure some of those would end up as catches. End up going like 2/25 for 40 yards with 10 INTs -
What do you think of when you see this pic?

Mahomes is clearly not putting in enough work in the offseason and doesn't take football seriously -
Milano as trade compensation
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
After the Diggs trade I hesitate to call any Bills contract 'untradeable'....but Milano is untradeable. He has a 12.4mm active cap hit for the 2024 season. That turns into 25.2mm dead cap if we trade him prior to June 1st. It's 7.9mm dead cap in 2024 and 17.3mm dead cap in 2025 if it's a post June 1st trade. I think we'd need at least a 1st rd pick to make a Milano trade feasible, and what GM in their right mind is offering a 1st for a 29 year old LB coming off a major injury? -
Packers vs Eagles confirmed week 1 in Brazil.
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm just thankful its not the Bills. That trip to London last year de-railed the season -
That's literally the argument you made against Allen..... unless you were just pointing out an argument without believing it? The tone of your post suggested to me that you thought Allen is not working hard in the offseason. Apologies if I misunderstood Mahomes has been the best QB in the league since 2018 and Allen has been the 2nd best since 2020. Those were also their best individual seasons. It's technically true to say they haven't improved since those seasons, but it's an incredibly disingenuous argument to make.
-
Yes he has regressed since then. That's his only season that is in the top 5 for best seasons by a QB in NFL history. Mahomes could never improve on that season and still have the greatest career of all time. Josh could never improve on his 2020 season and still be a HOF QB. That's why the statement that Josh hasn't improved on his 2020 season is asinine.
-
Who needs facts and stats when you can 'just watch'? Mahomes 2018 season is on a very short list for best season by any QB in NFL history. The fact (yes, fact) that he hasn't improved on that season doesn't mean that he's lazy in the offseason or doesn't watch enough film. It just means he set the bar so high it's almost impossible to improve on it. Josh's play has been about the same for 4 years in a row now. When you're one of the 3 best QBs in the league playing about the same not improving is still a VERY GOOD thing. Arguing otherwise and trying to present that as proof that Josh doesn't put in the off-field work is just silly.
