I don't think it's hyperbole to say Bass's missed kick was the worst for any kicker in the NFL this season, even considering the conditions. Both kickers playing on that slip-n-slide field in Brazil week1 did better in worse conditions. They went 5/6 with the 1 miss hitting the upright. Bass hasn't made a 51+ yarder since week 4 last season. McD won't even let him attempt 55+

For anyone that's curious: ARTICLE 2. PROHIBITED ACTS BY BOTH TEAMS WHILE THE BALL IS IN THE AIR Acts that are pass interference include, but are not limited to: (a) Contact by a player who is not playing the ball that restricts the opponent’s opportunity to make the catch; (b) Playing through the back of an opponent in an attempt to make a play on the ball; -
The Dolphins defender that did the 'tipped ball' gesture was nowhere near it. I think he assumed it had to be tipped based on the awful trajectory of the kick. Watching the replay I'm not convinced Bass slipped on the turf. His plant foot moved as part of the kicking motion, but I don't think it was the turf. It looks like he had a lousy approach and misplaced his left foot. Then as he kicks it he was so out of position his left foot lifts up and he does an awkward jump skip to compensate. Tough to tell without slow-mo though. I'm just spamming the pause/play button on the one angle Amazon gave us

Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread

It was so off target I understand why people thought it was tipped. I just watched a replay and it was 100% not tipped. Bass shanked the F out of it -
Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread

Flores is a better coach? Dude was a straight up clown that nearly destroyed Tua's career by benching him repeatedly for a washed up Fitzmagic. Miami's DEF was certainly better under Flores, but the overall team is better under McDaniel (who I'll agree is not a good head coach). -

I kinda thought they would give it to Tyreek with a statement about how he persevered against discrimination barf -
Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
As a huge Von hater I was pleasantly surprised that he made a great play and got a sack. Wayyyyy too early to be eating crow though. OP can bump this thread when Von makes it to 10+ sacks and/or dominates playoff game(s) -
Spencer Brown signs 4 year extension
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why on earth did we sign Brown to this extension when he still had a season left on his rookie deal? Way too much for a guy that's only had one decent season. Said it earlier in this thread, but this is going to be Dawson Knox 2.0 -
Bills Coordinators Need To Be Much Better
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln? Special teams gets an A+ for the day without the kick return for TD and kickoff out of bounds. Factoring in those 2 plays it's probably a D for them. -
Spencer Brown signs 4 year extension
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry, but I hate this. Brown has had injury concerns (back problems with his height is not a good combo). His first 2 seasons he was awful, like worst starting RT in the league awful. 3rd season was solid, but he was getting a lot of help from TE/RB chipping. Why would we rush into a contract extension when he still had another left on his rookie deal? This is going to be Dawson Knox all over again. -
The chatter around the Worthy trade isn't rational
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with you on Worthy, but what the heck does Bishop have to do with this discussion? We drafted Bishop in the 2nd round with our original pick. No trades required. -
Week 1, Cards v. Bills - Predict the Score
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cards 27 Bills 17 The Bills tend to start out sloppy in week 1 under McD. I think that trend continues this year -

64 million in dead cap Milano already out most of the season I'm thinking 9 wins -
Bobby Babich to call Bills' Defense
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Darn, I was just going to bring this up. It'll be easier to scapegoat Babich when he's the one calling plays. -
How do you explain this team?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't say McD is the ONLY reason we haven't won a SB, but I do think he's the primary reason. In the last 4 years, with a top-5 roster (at worst), we've had 2 playoff losses where the team looked unprepared for the moment (first Chiefs game, Bengals game). We've had an epic coaching meltdown (13 seconds) and we've had 5 games where our DEF looked pathetic (Chiefsx3, Bengals, and Colts). For a defensive minded head coach that's just not acceptable. -
How do you explain this team?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD is the one that took the offense off the field for the 4th down to go for the most telegraphed fake punt in history with Damar 'make a wish' Hamlin. Going for it was the right decision, but going for it with a fake punt was lunacy. McD doesn't get nearly enough criticism for that choice on here. The DEF got stops on the 3rd and 2nd to last possessions. We could have forced a 3 and out on the Chiefs last possession to get the offense the ball back, but they did not. -
How do you explain this team?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Playoffs are a small sample size and unfortunately our excellent regular season DEF gets TORCHED by KC in the playoffs. Is it simply bad luck? Does McD get too tight and that trickles down to the players? Is our team at a disadvantage in the 'let them play' style in playoff games where refs are too scared to call penalties? In our last 4 playoff losses our opponents have been called for 8 total penalties. -
YOU LIKE THAT? Personally I enjoyed RG3 as an analyst. He was articulate, intelligent, and charismatic. Could be insufferable at times, but for the most part was less annoying than others in the biz

For anyone wondering.... please read the 'assault allegations' on Jim Brown's wikipedia page. TLDR: arrested 7+ times for assault - mainly against women. Never found guilty of anything major...BUT neither was OJ. -
You did make some good points here, but I wanted to throw out a few more stats. In 2022 with Dorsey as OC Josh averaged 7.75 carries per game and was our leading rusher in 9 out of 16 regular season games. None of those were really desperate must win games considering our worst record at any point in the season was 6-3. In 2023 in the Dorsey games that decreased to 4.8 carries per game and Josh was only our leading rusher in 2 out of 10 games (4 carries for 14 yards vs Jags and 8 carries for 44 yards vs Bengals). Even in the Daboll years it felt like we had a 'in case of emergency break glass' button and call some designed Josh runs if the offense was struggling. That safety valve was turned off for Dorsey in 2023 and I have to imagine that was a McBeane decision. I think McD had a coming to Jesus moment when he fired Dorsey and realized that shackling the OC/Josh was a bad decision and gave Brady the green-light to run Josh as much as he wanted. As you pointed out once Brady was OC we were in must-win mode, but I'd call the Broncos game under Dorsey a must-win as well and Josh only had 4 carries that game. 4 carries for Josh is fewer than any game under Brady
