Maybe the most incredible stat of the night
Jerome007 replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
What is puzzling to me, is that the LBs and secondary were banged up bad, and thus we could expect a Kelce and passing fest from KC. Instead, the healthy DLine, and backup LBs that are good against the run, got destroyed on the ground. The Bills run offense also destroyed KC's defense but they had more stops. I think KC had 7 plays of 20+ yards and the Bills.... ZERO. These dropped passes of course matter but still, that was the difference. Even if the Bills outgained KC on the ground, and had lots of 7-8 yards gainers, they also had 0 yarders, while KC seem to run at will, even at the very end when it was obvious they would. I just can't understand why the Bills run defense was again awful as in the recent past. Is it the schemes or the players? -
I meant overall this season. And KC did punt it. Bills D had to stop the KC O twice thanks to the refs. But they couldn't stop the run or sack Mahomes.
-
It's a tough loss and here am I defending McD and co. Didn't you notice ALL the injuries they had on defense? It's crazy they could perform so well. What was frustrating in THIS game though, is how they couldn't stop the run, just like 2019-2022.
-
That's what they said about Reid for years. Even about Peyton Manning too. in 2021, that 13 seconds cost the Bills a real shot at glory - and THAT was a firable offense. This year, it was just so close. It's obvious thar any of the last 4 remaining teams AND the Bills could win it all, but only 1 of the 5 will. It just sucks so bad, but nope, I can't fault McD here.
-
That's true, and that's also what sucks. They COULD beat any of the remaining four on any given Sunday, yet winning t all is so tough, and damn it, will they ever win one before we croak? They were so close, just like in 2021.
-
The usual crowd. I am gutted, so disappointed. This, like 2021, felt like THE year. But this was a super close game, almost equal everywhere. Reid and co did a great job, so did the McD and his staff. This is not like the Bengals outclassing them last year, nor the awful 13 second idiocy. This just... sucks, but it's a coin toss almost.

NFL Previews on YouTube: Who's the Narrator?
Jerome007 replied to Amarillo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is pretty good, for sure. The content as well. -
Yes, I get that. But he could still lead by example, by showing intensity, coaching other players with energy, etc. His lack of physical prowess has not erased all the status he's earned as a player and leader. IDK how he is daily, but on gameday he seems mentally off, like he is just checking in to get a paycheck.

Mitch Morse on McAfee - We're begging that ****** to slide
Jerome007 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good stuff from Morse. I don't watch McAfee often, mostly bits people select like this one, but he obviously has a knack of making his guests at ease. Even Marshaw Lynch was ha ha. Peyton was on a video call with the show going to HIS HOF coronation! -
What irks me, is that he doesn't seem to play with any intensity. And he was a leader in the past, not just a star player, but a leader that set an example.
-
He almost retired last year. Yet he is still playing at a pro bowl level. The awful end of the season must have helped him decide. It must not have been fun going to work these last weeks!
-
IDK how she did it when going to the Cheats palace, but she is super rich. She can buy suite tickets if she choses too. I know its great marketing for the NFL but that's not a Bills problem. Let her buy the tickets. She sure has the money!

Wow. Big corps are impersonal and the heads and shareholders never see the consumers. Just numbers to them. Many issues on its own. But here the lot owner knows many of the Bills fans, it is an event that binds the community. It sucks, really, to charge that high. No matter what 'market dictates". Capitalism doesn't ALWAYS mean to get the most $$$ every time, excluding all other consideration. My first Bills game, I met the owner of a lot at the 7/11, and he invited me to his lot, tailgating with all the fans there that basically camp out for every season opener. I came back each year after that. I hope it's not him! He was a great guy, as were all the peeps there.

AJ Klein had reservations with family for Key West this weekend
Jerome007 replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude killed it yesterday. As did most depth chart guys. Amazing. And while most of the credit goes to him and the other players, it also goes to McD, the coaching staff, and Beane. Amazing how he always look so calm and all in interviews, and is a violent dude on the field. Guy is set for life $$$ and can retire after the season. Family can't be mad. They can take vacations anytime. -
And Romo as the reason for the Pitt time out with 2 seconds left. "Someone had to go to the bathroom". He and Nantz have good chemistry, and I like his rumblings and enthusiasm. People like to critique over nothing.
-
And let's be fair. Most of Hurts' TD are 1-2 yarders and thanks to his great OLine. He is a good runner, but those TDs are mostly because of his OLine. Lamar, Josh, Fields have more "real" rush TDs.
-
It's amazing. IDK why there is that narrative by some that Josh chokes in big moments. In playoff and must win games, he has been pulled through way more than not. The bad OT record is not on him.

I was confused. I thought this thread was about Tyrod Taylor. Marketing is something else. Because of her, so many teen gals now watch football (well, the Chiefs). Great for the NFL and for Kelce's jersey sales. I won't even comment on Pfizer. Or politics as supposedly Democrats are courting her hard. She could indeed get them tons of votes, which is a sad state of how people vote, political leanings aside. Voting should be a tad more sacred and thought out than just following a current fad. And as for me, yeah I knew of her, but barely. I didn't know she was THAT popular, rich, and with so many followers. It took the NFL to make aware. Cross marketing works, period. That being said, I hope she is booed Sunday and turns to ice or something ha ha.

Can Khalil Shakir be WR2 next season?
Jerome007 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hum. I think you have already forgotten about a certain Stephon Diggs... -
On 3rd down it was fine. But I was 100% with Romo that on that 2nd down you run and at least get the clock all the way to the 2 min warning. Unless they have 0 yards or a loss, the field goal would have been nearer too. The game would have been iced right then and there. Instead. it took so much to finally get that W.
-
All these plays were surprises. We expected Josh to have a nice gain... and he goes for a TD. Shakir looked tackled... he goes for a TD. Elam was being destroyed on previous plays... he gets a pick.
-
Very impressive by Klein. Dude obviously stayed in shape and mentally sharp during his non-selection.

Wild Card Round, Squeelers v. Bills - GAME BALLS
Jerome007 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Elam was getting played for many plays in row... just before he redeemed himself with that pick. Beane deserves one! Elam, Klein, Williams... it seems all the depth players had a chance today! -
I thought the same as the thread title. Martin has been pretty damn good of late, and today as well, but if he is injured. let's gooooooo Araiza

What's your confidence level going into the game today?
Jerome007 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's very high, but any playoff or must win game, if you're not nervous, you're not human and haven't been paying attention ha ha. Yes, I gloated watching the Packers dismantle the Cowgirls, but then later on was shaken that it was the NFC 7th seed pulverizing the 2nd seed in their home stadium... No game is an automatic win, even less so in the playoffs. But yes, I feel confident.
