  1. No. We get a QB this year. Anything less than that is a failure.
  2. I'm curious if Rosen, Allen, Darnold or Mayfield fall to 10, that would be the time to move up. It would likely take 21 and 22, but we wouldn't be on the hook for anything more after that.
  3. Most of the time you're right. RB, LB, DB and WR it's important to a degree, not as important as you eluded to, you have to factor in change of direction, lateral movement and acceleration, the 40yd is a nice stat though, but definitely overrated.
  4. I'd take a chance on him at 10 though, he has Big Ben potential with escapability and the way he extends plays, can throw the ball 70 yards off his back foot. Risky prospect, but I'm all in if he slides to 10. Would still have all of our other picks.
  5. I don't want him, I admit we need help on the DL, but I don't think Curry is the guy. I'd like to see if Shaq can develop, wouldn't mind a few rotational guys behind him.
  6. Rudolph I could see throwing for 4,000 many times over his career, he has the higher ceiling. I think Jackson can accumulate 4,000 yards passing and rushing combined, but not with just his arm. If you bottle up Jackson in the pocket and force him to throw, I don't think he can carry you with his arm, Rudolph can.
  7. And then we have Lamar Jackson over Mason Rudolph, I mean are we serious? Jackson throwing for 4,000 yards is just as likely as Ivanka Trump giving me a BJ.
  8. I think black QBs are held to lower standards. You have guys like Kirk Cousins throw 4,000 yards back to back to back and he is only a top 12-15 QB. Cam Newton throws for 4,000 once in 7 years and he is hailed as an 'elite' franchise QB.
  9. 21.) Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State 22.) Isaiah Wynn, OL, Georgia 53.) Tim Settle, DT, Virginia Tech 56.) Josey Jewells, LB, Iowa
  10. You're right, I thought you were talking about Rudolph, my bad. I was active in a Rudolph thread at the time I posted that, my fault.
  11. - I think there is a big drop off at center after Wynn and Price, might be smart to go there in the 1st. - Either of the Georgia RBs would be great in RD2. I'd say Sony Michel is the better of the two but Nick Chubb is not far behind. - DT is incredibly deep, should be a good player for us in RD2. Tim Settle is a beast, I also like Taven Bryan and RJ McIntosh. - Josey Jewells is going to be a dominant MLB in the NFL for a long time, I expect him to rise up draft boards, he is as good as anybody.
  12. Anybody else like this guy? I've seen him listed as a 2nd-3rd round prospect, but honestly I think he is the 2nd best DT in the draft behind Vita Vea. He's a load, perfect guy to put next to Kyle Williams, he is awfully nimble for a guy so big.
  13. Which I don't understand, Cam only threw for 4k+ one time in his entire career. His career passing % is 58.5%. Is Cam Newton the standard for passing?
  14. Under the right scenario I'd take him at 21. The risk/reward ratio is worth it imo.
  15. And that's a fair criticism, one I thought of myself before I posted, although I think Jackson will be better as a runner and as a passer than Tyrod, but their styles are one in the same. If you want a rhythm pocket passer, I don't think Lamar Jackson will ever be that guy.
  16. I'm right there with ya buddy, just stockpile as many picks as possible, hopefully stockpile picks for 2019 too. We are not just one piece away, we need as many picks as possible.
  17. If we did draft Jackson, I'd want to take advantage of him as a runner, I think it'd be a mistake not to. Run option, spread offense and of course sprinkles of a pro style offense. I do think he'll be way better than Taylor, but I don't think he'll ever be a 4,000 yard passer, he may get you 4,000 yards rushing/passing combined, maybe he could grow as a passer as time goes on, but forcing him to be a pocket QB early in his career is a really bad idea.
  18. They're pretty critical of White, Falk and Lauletta too. Outside of the top 5 they seem to have nothing nice to say about any of the 2nd round and lower round QBs, which makes sense, they'll be right most of the time, but at least 1 maybe 2 QBs drafted in the 2nd round or later will have a successful career and maybe 2-3 of the 1st round QBs will bust completely. The key is finding which guy is going to fall through the cracks.
  19. If the Browns pull a shocker and take Josh Allen #1 we may be able to sneak in there. I'd probably wait for Mayfield to fall to 10 in that scenario. I could live with losing 21 and 22, that's a pretty fair risk to reward ratio.
  20. I really really want Case Keenum, it won't happen though. I think the Vikings are making a big mistake.
  21. I can't tell if Baker Mayfield is going to be Johnny Manziel or Jim Kelly.
  22. I would rather draft Rudolph at 21, trade down with 22 and take Lauletta in the 3rd round. 1st - Rudolph 2 2 2 3 - Lauletta 3
  23. You seem to be fixated on Rosen and Darnold though and I just think that's wishful thinking. If the Browns take Barkley #1, Darnold and Rosen could both be gone at #4, so Barkley is not an option at #1. What about the Giants? Eli Manning is a billion years old, I do not see the Giants passing on Rosen, they're way too smart of a franchise to do that. Once again, who do you like? You have these delusional thoughts that we are going to somehow trade up for Rosen or Darnold, it's not happening. Our only option may be to sift through the 4th, 5th, 6th best prospect. If we can find a journeyman veteran to carry the load, we can groom a prospect behind him for a few years. Cousins, Brady and Garropolo have one thing in common, they got to sit for a few years. Rudolph or Lauletta behind Keenum for 1-2 years is our best chance. In an ideal world we could draft the top rated QB, but that's just not how the real world works.
