I think of Alshon Jeffery going to Philly, he wanted a prove it deal and Wentz hadn't proven jack diddly at that point. Just don't pretend that we have EJ Manuel at QB. There are other teams I left out, there's a few other guys like Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Brees that will retire soon and Allen can jump up the list even higher. There is a strong chance, which wasn't a reality 2 weeks ago. We went from the bottom 25% quartile to now we have a guy with a strong possibility of being in the top 25%, let me put it that way.

Good player, but I think Siran Neal is going to blow up as a S/LB/DB. I could see him playing LB in the nickel and some safety in obvious rushing situations, the guy plays with brutality. Edmunds and Milano will get the brunt of playing time, Neal and Lorax will split time.

Why though? That's not biasedness. Nobody at all had Baker Mayfield at #1, nobody! It was Allen or Darnold on every mock I read. We invested a fortune into QB, I will acknowledge that it may not start out pretty, there is going to be a period of tribulation but you'd hope that by the end of the year Allen takes that job and doesn't look back.

I'd say you don't know what you're talking about. Allen was projected at #1 overall for months leading up to the draft, I don't think fans realize how fortunate we are to have him. The Bengals were offered 2 2nds for McCarron, he has also shown potential. We have a bright future.

Is it really? Our QB stable is actually pretty decent. One of the hottest backup QBs over the last 2-3 years and the #7 overall pick. Dez and Benjamin would be disgusting! I'd love Dez on a 1 year prove it deal, get it done. Allen needs all the help he can get.

I think Neal plays lots of LB in the nickel which makes up 63% of most defenses. Phillips will over take Kyle by the end of the year.

Murphy, Lotulelei, Phillips, Hughes Neal, Edmunds, Milano Kyle and Lorax rotate in on occasion.

That's exactly right, doesn't seem like there is a victim here other than Russ. He should know better though, work relationships can be tricky.
