  1. I think Buffalo did a hit job on Allen, I think they leaked Allen's racially insensitive tweets the day before the draft because they wanted him bad, he would have not fallen to 7 otherwise. The Edmunds and Phillips selections were just way too obvious though, I think just about anybody could have made those selections. I don't think you can plan for a top 7 LB to fall down to 16 or a mid 2nd round DT to fall to us all the way at the bottom of the 3rd, you don't plan that. We just got extremely lucky and we have a GM that is very smart and capitalizes on opportunities. Still, we got BPA at need areas with our first three picks, that is not from planning, that's luck.
  2. The Giants look awfully dumb. When again if ever will they be sitting at #2 in a QB rich draft? It may take 30 years for them to get another opportunity like this. Sorry, but the only time you take a RB that high is if there are no good QBs. If Geno Smith and EJ Manuel are your options you take the RB 10/10. The Giants and Browns botched the top of the draft so bad that we got Allen and Edmunds, talk about bizarre!
  3. Josey Jewell and Equanimeous St. Brown for me.
  4. I could not be any happier with the first three picks, this is !@#$ing awesome.
  5. All the trolling and disrespect to Allen make me want to root for him that much more.
  6. I understand but when you start a new job don't you expect your employer to have a senior employee train the new hire? Especially a job like QB, which in my mind is one of the most demanding jobs on the planet, very few jobs on this Earth are harder. Give the kid some time, let him learn from a consummate professional like McCarron and let him get confident and in a good routine.
  7. Allen will start this year for absolute damn sure but I would like the euphoria to wear off for Allen. I don't question his brain, heart or body but New Era stadium is freaking nuts I want him to tame his emotions before he is expected to take over. Forget next year, we want Allen to come in and start for the next 20 years, screw short term I don't care about 2018.
  8. Bodine, Groy, Miller and Duccasse is not great by any means, but they are serviceable and I don't think OL is as dire as many believe, I mean sure we could use some help but I wouldn't mortgage the farm for one.
  9. I also believe this season is a throw away for sure! I think you start AJ McCarron 9-10 games and sit Josh Allen's keister on the bench! The goal is to stall and buy time, bring Allen along slowly.
  10. Lack of mobility, character concerns, injury concerns, what you see is what you get, limited potential. I think Rosen will have a great career as a journeyman QB. Allen on the other hand could be special although many assume his floor is much lower. Rosen reminds me so much of Peterman.
  11. It's really hard to say because we might move up. We are looking at late 3rd early 4th round players when there is a chance we move to the top of the 3rd and perhaps some mid to late 2nd round players are available. I'd imagine it all depends if somebody really special falls down and in that case you got to move up. How often do late 3rd round picks or later actually pan out anyways? Give me Kirk, Brown or Washington. Walking away with a stud QB, LB and WR is good enough for me. Anytime you draft 3 above average starters in a draft you did a hell of a job. Fill in the other holes with UDFAs and June 1st cuts.
  12. The thing that's funny is fans had no problem mocking Allen #1 to the Browns but take offense to us taking him at #7. I cannot think of one mock draft I read where Allen was drafted outside of the top 10. In just about every draft I read it was split between Allen and Darnold at #1.
  13. No doubt, I like Allen too, he is a Buffalo guy and I think he'll be great. I also believe Allen is a much better prospect than Mahomes is to be completely honest but if Allen does indeed bust and Mahomes does go on to be great, there is going to **** molecules stuck to the air.
  14. He's had 10 sacks over 2 years, I know that QB hurries count but don't kid yourself, he is also going to be 30. You have to ask yourself, how much longer does this guy have? 15 sacks over 3 years, I think Lawson can match that production and he is 10 years younger with more upside.
  15. I knew that but McD was, life isn't fair though. If Mahomes turns into Brett Favre 2.0 and Allen turns into Paxton Lynch, McD will not be able to persevere that shitstorm.
  16. I think Mahomes will be an All-Pro, Andy Reid knows QBs and I liked Mahomes coming out. Tre is a shutdown corner and I like Edmunds so I think we added two studs but what it comes down to is Allen vs Mahomes. I like Allen but passing on Mahomes was incredibly risky and could end up getting McD and Beane fired if Mahomes turns into a star and Allen busts.
  17. In an ideal world we trade neither of them. If Shaq starts dominating in camp though and we got Murphy playing well, sure I'd move Hughes for a 2019 pick. Anything less than a 2nd for Hughes or Lawson, why bother? It's like throwing talent away for nothing.
  18. Hughes is old and we could likely fetch a mid/late 2nd for him, he is declining. Shaq on the other hand would fetch a 4th or 5th but has tons of room for growth.
  19. I'd rather move Hughes than Shaq.
  20. How often do 2nd round picks succeed hit or miss? 50% maybe? So let's say half our 2nd round picks succeeded, so that leaves you with one hit and a chance you lose that player to free agency in 4 years. If we strike gold with Josh Allen, he will be here for 15 years, same can't be said for the WR, OL, DL or LB we would have taken in RD2. For Edmunds we gave up #65 to move up for a top 10 talent. How often do 3rd round picks materialize? At the end of the day we got two difference makers at our two biggest weaknesses and we still have a 3rd, 4th and two 5ths to add more talent, we are actually sitting pretty right now.
  21. Josey Jewell the LB from Iowa would be a good pick. Milano, Edmunds and Jewell would !@#$ some **** up.
  22. I'd be happy if every pick we own for the rest of the draft went towards OL and WR. I don't think we're that bad off but we have a lot invested into Allen, at least he has McCoy, Clay and Benjamin but I wouldn't mind a burner like James Washington from Oklahoma State in the mix.
  23. That would be amazing if it happened that way.
