  1. I feel like the Ravens have lost a bit of their luster, personally. They are still good, obviously, but Lamar Jackson and their running offense is no longer a novelty. And a few defenses, including the Bills, have shut them down. So yeah, I can agree with the Chargers game taking their place.
  2. I caught that as well and wasn't sure what the writer meant. But, it's pretty embarrassing how little the Bills could beat the Pats regardless.
  3. https://www.nfl.com/news/top-10-games-of-the-2021-nfl-season-bills-chiefs-giants-cowboys-make-list Here's the list from the article on NFL.com: 10) Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets 9) New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys 8 ) Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams 7) Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers "If the Bills are looking for a test of their true ability -- one that doesn't have "KC" on its helmet -- they'll receive one in the form of the defending champions. After losing by two touchdowns to the Chiefs in the AFC title game, Buffalo sat at home and watched the team that just defeated them get its doors blown off in the Super Bowl. The team that delivered the beatdown is on Buffalo's schedule this season. It's time to see how the surging Bills stack up. Buffalo won't be meeting a complete stranger in this game, either. Tom Brady single-handedly ruined Western New York's hopes for two decades, save for a stray upset win with Drew Bledsoe at the controls, and it's about time a strong Bills team attempts to avenge its many losses at the hands of the greatest of all time. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, gets a chance to further prove its supremacy by taking on the AFC's runner-up a year after dominating its champion." 6) Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers 5) Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens 4) Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers 3) Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs "Last season's AFC Championship Game got off to a promising -- if not stunning -- start before Kansas City's offense woke up and removed any real intrigue. It was a disappointing end to what was initially billed a high-flying conference title game between the reigning champions and perhaps the only AFC team equipped to keep pace with them. Instead, it was largely a flop. But after an offseason in which the Bills quietly added in areas of need and the Chiefs impressively revamped their offensive line, this rematch of two top-tier squads could give us a much more entertaining showdown, set to once again take place at Arrowhead. Can Josh Allen outduel Patrick Mahomes? Will we get more defensive resistance from the Bills this time around? Might this be a key result that could sway the conference's seeding? Check back in for the answers this fall." 2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New England Patriots 1) Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs (Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills made the honorable mentions as well) Any issues with that list? Any games missing? I think the two that they chose for the Bills are super intriguing. I'd almost put the Bucs game ahead of the Chiefs game (almost). There's so many interesting storylines there, like facing Brady on a different team. McDermott has not beaten a Brady lead team before. Plus, they are the defending super bowl champs and the Bills were within one game of the super bowl. It's an excellent measuring stick. But that Chiefs game is the big elephant in the room. The Bills faced them twice last year and couldn't beat them. Looking forward to the season!
  4. Yeah, he doesn't seem to have much regard for the culture or leadership of the team. Will be interesting to see them going forward. Cutting good players who are leaders on your team and who contribute positively to the culture can be risky. But winning cures most things. If they win it probably won't matter.
  5. I see you found the one source that has the Browns ahead of the Bills.
  6. Not even close. Sorry, but edge rushers are judged by sack production, which Hughes hasn't gotten. He'd be accurately viewed as a good player on any other team, but nothing special or great.
  7. In fairness, Gronk did have a great career, but he also missed a lot of time due to injury, including back problems that required multiple surgeries over his career. So the medical evaluations were pretty accurate, I'd say.
  8. Running back won't even be on the radar next year. That's my prediction.
  9. That is just your own guess. What is it based on? It is far more likely that he just isn't good at playing. Maybe he can develop. That's always a possibility. But he has looked like hot garbage so far, as indicated by those horrible stats you included in your reply.
  10. Well, I don't watch the show. I just wait for the schedule to be posted. It's not a big deal, but it's always a fun time when the schedule comes out and you can go through and predict the season.
  11. The schedule reveal is interesting to me, at least.
  12. Stidham has played. And he has been terrible every time he has touched the field. So terrible, in fact, that they eventually chose to just stick with Cam Newton, who was the worst starting QB in the league last year and threw more interceptions than TD's.
  13. I read Kiper's analysis. He basically graded the Bills lower because he wanted them to draft a running back. Seemed petty.
  14. The plan is to play the running backs we have.
  15. Sound like she just doesn't understand football or NFL stardom. Any fans of any team would know their starting linebackers.
  16. I was a big supporter of trading up for Sammy Watkins.
  17. Bunch of cry babies. Over a 5th round pick. Come on....
  18. Yep, every year they do.
  19. He is 32, would save like $6 million in cap, and hasn't produced sacks in years. Yeah, he is a good player who can get pressure (not sacks), but if Beane and McDermott want to move on and get the young guys a lot more development and playing time, I have no issue with that. But I would expect they would move on from Addison before Hughes, even though he is not as favorable a cap situation.
  20. Murphy is already gone. I would not be surprised to see Addison or Hughes gone.
  21. That's gotta mean that Hughes and/or Addison are gone, right?
  22. A couple of those first rounders were considered busts on their first teams, though.
  23. Wait, do you mean better than the Bills overall, or do you just mean they got better than last year vs this year and are closer to the level of the Bills? Because I don't think anyone actually thinks any of the three teams are now better than the Bills.
  24. Pretty sure they are going to continue to invest in both sides of the ball every year for the rest of time. It's not a job that is ever done. You keep building and retooling every year.
