Worth what, exactly? They are worth about as much as someone is willing to put stock in them, I guess, but they should only be used as a fun distraction, not for anything else. The people mock drafting have no knowledge of how teams are ranking or evaluating players. They have no knowledge of how trades might change things. It really is just throwing darts at a dart board.

I hope we never draft a running back in the first round.

Looming Stefon Diggs Contract situation - What do you do?
MJS replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd love to keep him. I guess we'll see what Beane can do. If we have to move on from him, that's the way it goes. -
If you go make a list right now of Josh Allen's best and most exciting performances, there would be at least one, maybe two, from his rookie year. That Vikings game is definitely up there, and the week 17 Dolphins game was great too. He scored 5 TD's that game. And that was the down year for the Bills where they were trying to reset the cap, so the team was devoid of talent. Then in Allen's 2nd season he helped take the team back to the playoffs and there has been a steady climb every year. I agree. It is a lazy narrative that analysts use to save their ego (because they need to justify bashing him) and/or just plain ignorance from only looking at box scores and stats. Josh Allen has shown flashes of his elite play every single year, and you could argue in every single game, he has ever played in. And he has had a steady, upward trajectory his entire career. He took a big step in 2020 for sure, but he certainly did not come out of nowhere. I would argue he also took a big step forward at the end of 2021, particularly in the playoffs. He became unstoppable.

The AFC had plenty of good teams. The Pats beat up on the entire NFL, not just the AFC. There are only a couple of teams that had ok records against them during their run, the Giants one of them, I think. The rest of the NFL had a pretty dismal record against them.

There are usually some surprises, like teams we thought would be good but turn out to be average or worse. Cleveland and Denver are candidates for that, in my opinion. Denver seriously upgraded on paper, but they play in a tough division with a new head coach (do we really believe in Nate Hackett?) and a lot of new faces. With Cleveland, even if Watson isn't suspended, he has been out of football for a year and Cleveland usually finds ways to underperform. The Chargers are hyped every year but find ways to lose. Herbert is great, but we could see a similar story as last year. It's going to be an exciting year in the AFC. It will be really interesting to see which teams rise to the top and which ones got over hyped.

The AFC West upgraded for sure, but they will have some growing pains with all the changes, I think. We'll see.

Are the Chiefs still the team we're building our team to beat???
MJS replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's build our team to beat all the teams. -
I agree. They still have a great coach, great QB, and a great TE. They have a good oline. Their defense always figures things out later in the season. I don't see them falling out of contention.

Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]

I'd rather have Kamara in that specific scenario, personally. But to each his own. -

They'd be fine if CEH turned out to be an elite back. He is pretty average, so there's the sting. But yeah, the Chiefs have not done a good job filling the pipeline behind Hill and Kelce. I don't blame it all on one draft pick of a RB. -

Goff is kind of terrible. He would be in the NFC and the lions aren't going anywhere anytime soon. -

Go research his off-the-field issues if you want. Football related, he always refuses to restructure his contracts to help free up cap space even though it helps the team and helps put more money in his pocket. He is a me-first player through and through. -

What a dbag and a clown Hill is. Send him to the Lions or something. -
Matt Barkley Back? (Yep! deal not yet known)

Poor Barkley. He doesn't even get a pinned thread on TBD. -

Don't feed the troll. He's the worst and he knows he is the worst. Bills fans don't need to defend Sean McDermott. His record and what he has built in Buffalo stands by itself. Anyone who doesn't see that is clearly deranged or just trying to sow discord. -
I don't think we need to be worrying about a Morse replacement, personally...

Potential for lots of comp picks next year...

Beane likes to go into the draft without any bad holes, so he'll sign a vet CB or two for sure, at some point. But I would welcome a 1st round CB.
