Why so serious?
-
I bet he'll be back. I doubt he gets claimed, but we'll see.

Zach Davidson sucks at blocking. A 3rd TE is primarily going to be a blocker and special teamer. He might get 5 or 6 targets all year. Just sign him to the practice squad and keep developing him. I'm sure he'll be available.
-
Even less than a UDFA. He was a tryout player first. Good for him!
-
Finally an honest ranking. Lamar Jackson is CLEARLY below those three, but in many ways he is overrated and above criticism, especially by players. They put him on a pedestal.
-
Josh Allen has 174 total touchdowns (passing, rushing and receiving) in the past four seasons. That's 23 more than anyone else since 2020 and the most in a four-year span by any player in NFL history. He has 75 turnovers in that span, 14 more than anyone else. He is the modern day Brett Favre, really.

Eh, it doesn't look dirty to me. Players go low because it is against the rules to go high. His helmet looks like it is making contact with his hip, but the defender is trying to jump around the block, but his cleat gets stuck in the turf, causing his leg to twist.

Better put away all the rubber mats if they bring him in...

Stevie wasn't special. Fitzpatrick wasn't special either. But they had a special connection. That's what brought Stevie success while he was here.

Lamar Jackson continues to be severely overrated. His MVP last year was so weak. Who would take Jackson over Allen for their QB? Heck, I'd rather have Burrow, Stroud, and Love as well. Obviously Mahomes. He is a good player, but he should not be in the conversation as one of the top 5 players in the entire NFL.

Cuts, Waiver Claims & 90 man roster depth: A study
MJS replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets have been able to acquire decent talent, especially on defense. The problem is they never seem to keep them around. They let then walk in free agency, or they trade them, or they pick the wrong players to keep, etc. They always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot. They've had high draft picks for forever, so they always bring in talent. -
Other Teams Cuts That Might Help the Bills
MJS replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Zach Wilson would be a good backup. Zappe too. -
Jones has seemed fine to me. I think he would be good depth. But I think Andreessen has a higher upside. If it came down between the two of them, I'd choose Andreessen.
-
He has been decent. I think this means they want to keep Andreessen.
-
He has a big arm. Can be very accurate. He is mobile. He seems like a guy who might be a resurgent QB a few years from now after he gets some of the mental things down.
-
You're getting down voted, but Zach Wilson is clearly superior to Mike White. Mike White is just a guy.
-
This guy? No way. He's got that growth mindset.
-
Who won last year?
-
Solomon and Grable are draft picks plus they've shown plenty of upside to be rosterable. They will make the team for sure. Ingram is the 4th corner. Who makes it ahead of him? MVS I think is the 5th receiver. Not sure any of the others make it ahead of him. We'll see with Andreessen. I see him as a 50/50 chance to make the roster.

I'm just giving friendly advice. It will help you not get "attacked".
-
Well, you asked a question with a very easy to find answer. Discussing that season is fine, but maybe you could have provided more to the discussion yourself if this was something you were interested in talking about.
-
I don't think so. There are a few overly optimistic posters, but I think there are more overly negative ones. Gunner is one of the ACTUAL realists. He is positive when warranted, and negative when warranted. His opinions are not clouded by emotional outbursts one way or the other.

Plenty of QBs will come available after cut downs. No need to trade for one.
