Wrestling and NFL Football Players (McDermott 76-1 as a Wrestler)
MJS replied to CaliBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because it isn't very fun to watch compared to other spectator friendly sports. I think that is probably the primary reason. Also, guys might not like the idea of being locked together with other sweaty guys. -
Nah, I hate only two Bills coaches: Greg Williams and Doug Marrone. I don't care for Jauron, but I don't hate him like I hate the two I mentioned. I celebrate their failures.
-
Does money usually make someone smarter?
-
I dislike Marrone and I dislike Greg Williams. I can't stand either of them.
-
Yeah, he has made millions of dollars, so I don't feel bad about rooting against him. He had plenty of success to be comfortable forever.

One of my least favorite Bills coaches of all time.

He is locked up. It would take a complete meltdown from him for the Bills to even think about moving on, because it would hurt the team. He would have to convince everyone that it hurts the team even more to keep him, and then what? No other team is going to give him a decent contract after that. He would be entering Antonio Brown territory. I actually kind of wish it was an option, because he hasn't been playing well. He needs to prove that he can be a top receiver again.

No thanks.

I was going to mention that. I just rewatched Arrested Development a few weeks ago.

Any Chance of Playing Some 4- 3 Next Year?
MJS replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do think that we will play with 3 linebackers more next year. The league is trending towards bigger sets with more tight ends. The Bills will need to adjust. -
Frazier Hired As Seahawks Assistant Head Coach
MJS replied to Dick_Cheney's topic in The Stadium Wall
We wouldn't anyways. He wasn't hired as a head coach or GM. -
Frazier Hired As Seahawks Assistant Head Coach
MJS replied to Dick_Cheney's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not worth discussing because, 1) Frazier is not being hired as a head coach or GM, and 2) Frazier is not leaving the Bills. He left last year. -
It's just recency bias. Go look at coaching hires from previous years and you'll see that they do often bring in external coaches. Fans are salty about nothing.

Bills Receivers worst in drops in the NFL since Brady took over
MJS replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm sure it wasn't great before then either. -
Not surprised about Belichick. I'm a little surprised Vrabel didn't get a job.

People are just having fun with it. Nobody is seriously so bothered by it to care that much.

Options for the position coaches that are vacant
MJS replied to Billzgobowlin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could be more if Eric Washington brings over anybody with him. -
With the amount of vitriol being spewed by Dolphins fans toward Buffalo, I'd say it is pretty close, at least for them. It is akin to how Bills fans felt toward the Patriots. The Bills have been stomping them pretty hard for a few years now. Plus, there is the hate Josh Allen has for Wilkins. Does that make it a rivalry? I'd say so. But Bills vs Chiefs seems like a bigger rivalry. The Chiefs have the upper hand, but at least the games are close and the Bills beat them often in the regular season.

Elite arm talent and physical traits. But I think Lamar Jackson is a top 5 QB in the NFL. He is unique, though.
-
I've learned since then that the safe choice is never the right choice when it comes to QB. Draft the guy who has the ability to be elite physically and hope for the best. The QB position is not what it used to be. It isn't enough to be a cerebral pocket passer who can make the right read and deliver it with accuracy. You have to be at least somewhat of a dual threat. You have to make off-schedule plays. You have to do things that make people's jaw drop from time to time.

I don't blame him. With only Washington left, he'd be back coordinating in two years and might not get another shot as HC.

Analysis of How Defenses are Shutting Down Passing Offenses
MJS replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, defenses were much better this year. Offenses struggled. The Chiefs struggled all year, and even in the playoffs they still relied on great defense and a running game. Offenses have countered to using more tight ends and heavier packages, which has in turn led to defenses using more linebackers and heavier personnel. It's always a cat and mouse game. But the best offenses this year used multiple tight ends and running backs. Spread offenses are not in style anymore. -
I feel bad for Wilson. If your coach tells you that you are getting traded at the end of the season and that you'll be inactive the rest of the season, of course he didn't want to come back and play for them. Saleh is a thin skinned moron.
