  1. He runs a 4.52 which is fine for a running back.
  2. Go look at the success rate of players drafted in the 4th round versus the later rounds. There is a huge difference. So, I think this is a bad take. This is from the drafts since 2018, and they didn't even bother doing the 6th and 7th rounds, but there is a drop off in each round, except 4th which happens to be better than the 3rd (just a small sample size bias): 1st Round: 34/60, hit rate of 56% 2nd Round: 20/60, hit rate of 33.3% 3rd Round: 12/60, hit rate of 20% 4th Round: 17/60, hit rate of 28.3% 5th Round: 9/60, hit rate of 15%
  3. Good, detailed video on Coleman. They bring up a proprietary PFF game speed metric that he scored in the 93rd percentile, so apparently he plays a lot faster than his 40 time suggests? That's what I took from that at least.
  4. Apparently Coleman is the receiver Allen wanted, so Allen is probably happy.
  5. Matt Milano. Khalil Shakir. Siran Neal. Even Kyle Williams was a 5th rounder...
  6. I guess we'll see.
  7. DeJean was taken already, wasn't he? McDermott starts rookies all the time. He just didn't with Elam.
  8. Mike Williams is a good receiver, though.
  9. All of them have had concussions. You can't play in high school and college and then the NFL without ever having a concussion. They know the risks but they still choose looks over safety, often. But there may be a few who do it. Honestly, defensive linemen should all wear them because they help block the view of the QB, so it is a small competitive advantage.
  10. They don't seem well behind to me, especially after they add a promising rookie.
  11. Interesting. Players REALLY care about how they look, so I bet there won't be many who wear them.
  12. I agree with this, but I think I'm about even with McConkey or Franklin. Either will work for me. Heck, even if they take Mitchell, you love the upside. And that would mean they think they can manage the character and health concerns that come with him.
  13. Are Bills "rumors" ever true? I feel like the Bills are connected with every single potential trade for every single player potentially available.
  14. Production is one factor. Ideally you look at their traits and skills, though. McConkey seems like a good, do everything receiver who can line up inside or outside. He is fast (4.39 40). Great RAS score of 9.40 out of 10 (I think this includes his pro day agility tests since he didn't do that at the combine?). He is smart and a good route runner. Good hands. I think his lack of production was do to some injuries, and he isn't big or strong, so that's a knock on him.
  15. Ladd McConkey is high on those lists as well. I'd be fine with either one.
  16. Hoping for Ladd McConkey now, or Troy Franklin. I got too attached to the idea of Xavier Legette. I'll be following him to see what he actually does in the NFL, especially since it surprised me how so many people were down on him. He looked pretty good to me. I'm sure he would have rather come to the Bills than the Panthers, though...
  17. Toney isn't the only failed receiver there. They've struggled to fill the position for a long time now. Mecole Hardman. Skyy Moore. They haven't really had a hit at receiver since Tyreek Hill, who they lucked into in the 5th round in 2016. Rice looks fine, I guess. We'll see how he develops.
  18. Or Hardman who had 4.3 speed but never amounted to much in KC. I feel like speed is one of the less important attributes for a receiver. You just need to be fast enough. Then, all the other attributes take precedence, like release, separation, route running, and hands.
  19. I liked the Lions trade up for a top corner. That was a good move.
  20. All of that sounds good to me.
  21. Same with John Ross, but he never amounted to anything in the NFL. Speed is not everything. And to weigh only 165 lbs is a big obstacle to overcome.
  22. And I thought I was alone. I agree with you.
  23. This type of emotional response shows why being a fan clouds your judgement. Luckily, Beane is not a fan of the Bills. He is a professional who can look past petty rivalries and focus on what is good for the Bills and what is not.
  24. There is no evidence at all that the Bills ever wanted McDuffie. Maybe they should have wanted him. But they already had a slot corner. Why would they want two?
