  1. Yeah, I guess for some it is impossible that he just played well. I'm not sure why. He has always been decent. But he is a roster bubble guy. He isn't some dominant force of a player. Cook is just too hesitant out there. And his pass blocking is atrocious. He is at his best when he hits his holes with speed and purpose, but that just doesn't happen enough. He's too passive.
  2. Do you have evidence that disagrees with him after analyzing his play? What did you see from Kingsley Jonathan? He has always been a roster bubble guy and has spent plenty of time on the practice squad. Nobody sees him as a starter or even 2nd string. He is a guy you bring in to rotate when you have a bunch of injuries.
  3. Why are you curious about the corners? They are basically the same as last year. So, they are at least the same, possibly better do to further growth and development by Benford and Elam. The receivers are probably worse. Diggs and Davis were so bad down the stretch, though. And Harty and Sherfield were useless. I like the makeup of this year's receivers more, although we do lack the superstar. But, Diggs didn't really play like a superstar the 2nd half of the season anyway...
  4. Yes, but they want to take advantage of public sentiment if they think it might be off. Ultimately, it does come down to who they think will win or lose. And they are wrong a lot, it's just that everyone is wrong a lot, so they just have to be right a little more than the general public and assign their odds accordingly.
  5. Did anyone watch the Patriots game a couple of days ago? The game was crap, but the Patriots broadcasters have to be the worst in the entire league. They were terrible. They didn't even attempt to call the game. They basically just chatted among themselves the entire time, occasionally referencing something in the game. It was hot garbage.
  6. All the teams are keeping their actual strategy on this play close to the vest. You'll have to wait until the regular season to really see how it will go. Even so, most that I have seen have been stopped before the 30, usually around the 22 to 25 yard line, which means you are saving at least 5 yards, which is worth it. I think in the XFL they have it taken to the 35 if kicked into the end zone. I like that better. Make it hurt more if you don't kick it in the field of play.
  7. I like Spiro Dedes, personally. I think he is underrated. He is usually paired up with someone terrible, though. Completely agree on Greg Olsen. He is one of the best, in my opinion. I don't love his voice, but he really does his homework and gives great insight. Collinsworth is a triple strike for me. I HATE his voice. I HATE his takes. I HATE his double standards and backhanded compliments. But, he is undoubtedly knowledgeable and he catches interesting things to point out in games. So, I like him 25% of the time and loathe him the other 75% of the time. And Mike Tirico, despite having a good voice, annoys me too. He is just a yes man for Collinsworth. We'll see on Brady. All I can imagine right now is just wanting to punch his pretty face. The pair I used to dislike but have actually grown to enjoy, if that's the right word, is Buck and Aikman. They are just so average and not noteworthy that they actually aren't a distraction, which is pretty nice when you think about it. If you aren't going to be great, at least don't be a distraction. Their blandness goes in their favor.
  8. Many starters didn't even play.
  9. Ed Oliver got hurt the first play. He'll probably be fine, though.
  10. Tyreek Hill and Antonio Brown.
  11. But not holding. The DB had his arm around him the entire time.
  12. That was a cheap shot by Williamson. I don't know what he was thinking.
  13. I hate the jersey number zero for players. It looks so bad. Oh well.
  14. They used to throw some to John Brown that worked.
  15. It's the preseason. Most teams go pretty vanilla.
  16. I'm not sure "admired" is the best word. But some of my favorite players to watch over the years are: Non-Bills Players: - Peyton Manning - Drew Brees - Luke Kuechly Bills Players: - Steve Tasker - Bruce Smith - Josh Allen - Kyle Williams - Eric Moulds
  17. They just look like they are sitting minding their own business to me. I'm not sure what you are seeing.
  18. I saw enough in his first season to be convinced. His win against the Vikings was great. Then that masterful week 17 win against the Dolphins where he threw for 3 TD's and ran for 2. The Vikings game showed me he had the "it" factor and the big play ability. The Dolphins game showed me he had the skill and arm talent to become a great passer, not to mention his running ability. But there were great moments in other games that year too. Some of his best career highlights are from his rookie year. I mean, yeah, in 2020 the NFL learned what he could do, but there was so much evidence before then.
  19. He is a replacement level receiver. The Steelers know how to get the most out of their receivers, somehow.
  20. I always take the approach that football is football. You can't play scared. You can't worry about injury. The players have a job to do. It certainly is a risk, but it is always a risk. I do think players need to have some full contact to get ready for the season.
  21. The 90's were the golden era of NFL football. High flying offenses. Legendary players. It was just becoming the behemoth it still is today. Defenses could still play defense, at least compared to today. Rivalries still meant something. Coaches and players still had attitude. BTW, I think it is ths same for the NBA. That was the best decade for sports.
  22. Yeah, that's what I was wondering. He sounds terrible, so why did he get hired?
  23. I bet Allen won't play anything close to a full quarter.
