Aaron Rodgers frustrated!!!
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to KGun12TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron Rodgers is the most talented QB in the NFL and probably the best all around QB, and for years he has been held back by questionable defenses and a lack of a real run game. I thought by now he would have 3 rings and instead his team is toiling in mediocrity. I understand his frustration. -
I wanted Russell Wilson, Mahomes, honestly wasn't a big fan of Watson he surprised me. I was all in on Wentz. I will admit I like Bortles went to UCF so I am Biased. Way too many talented QBs that Buffalo has let slip through their fingers so they can draft CB and RB and WR in the first round. Kind of ridiculous if you look at it.

Interesting to see Brady on the Lamar Jackson express. How different a QB could they be. I am Rosen all the way!

I have been thinking the same way. The comparison to Wentz is laughable. Wentz was a winner in College on a team that usually went undefeated. Same QB coach, but different circumstances all together. I don't have allot of faith in Allen unless he is put into the perfect circumstance with the right Coach and allowed to sit and watch for a while. I do not want him in Buffalo even though he is supposedly a "cold weather" QB. I just see bust written all over him. His physical tools are off the charts, but mean very little if he doesn't have the mind for the game.

Bills sign Jeremy Kerley

I get it we need bodies for camp. Was just looking to fill a void and not stack depth. Especially with someone relatively accomplished. -
Why no Josh Allen for a visit?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully it means we are not interested in him and the Jets will take him. Another project that ends up in obscurity. -
Dunkirk Don or Savior Peterman
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will admit I was drinking the Kool Aid with Peterman for a little bit. Seeing a QB that wasn't afraid to throw the ball had me mesmerized. I snapped out of it fairly quickly in watching the 5 interception debacle. After seeing saviorpeterman take it as far as he did it just made me laugh. Dunkirk Don always cracked me up with his inside sources and really both of these guys were harmless and entertaining to say the least I guess allot of people took it personal. -
Bills sign Jeremy Kerley

Kerley is a slot type WR kind of confused by the move having Zay on the roster of course maybe they know something we don't. -
Shaquem Griffin - Linebacker UCF
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I may be partial having attended UCF, but I am all in on Shaquem he has proved people wrong his whole life and will continue to do so at the next level. He is a little light weight but if he can bulk up a bit without losing that speed he could be something special. -
Thurman Thomas was a huge factor in Buffalo's success in the late 80's early 90's. He was the engine that kept the team going. He could take over a game and open up the passing lanes that made Kelly look as good as he did. Without Thurman I don't think we look back at the team the same way. I don't think we go to 4 Super Bowls in a row. That is how important he was.

Richie Incognito Un-retires via Twitter?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haven't we had an exciting enough offseason already with Zay going off the deep end and now Richie retiring then not. "The Process" is to have high character guys and I am starting to question the parameters of what's considered high character. We know Richie was brought in by a different regime and apparently Zay was considered to be a high character guy out of college. Plus we had the lineman that went crazy last year too. -
It does seem a little odd that especially with combine players, pro day players, senior bowl as well as game tape that this is not sufficient enough to determine their athleticism. I think visits should be more about x's and o's or personality. That is why these guys come into their rookie season allot of times behind the ball because they are training for the combine and not real football. What are they gonna show in a private workout that they can't at a pro day?
-
I would take head over arm all day long. Peyton really showed that in his last super bowl win. He had almost no velocity left and he was still dropping balls with accuracy and anticipation. I know their defense was legit and truly carried the team, but what have they done since he has been gone? His ability to play chess with the defense always made him dangerous. He should be a coach some day.
-
I was referring to his arm strength. Jeff George could sling it! I am a Rosen fan and want him over any other QB in the draft by a land slide. I feel the FO has spoken and isn't interested in a QB like Jackson. They really were not open to Tyrod and seemed to be looking for a way out from him all year and didn't tailor to his game whatsoever. Darnold I don't hate but wonder why he is so highly touted and in conversation for first pick he is still raw and has a high ceiling. Allen is too raw for me and way too many question marks. Mayfield is short but has that fire in him which I like, we shall see if his game translates to the pros.

you mean Jeff George 2.0 lol

When can we expect THE trade to happen ?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to DKBills25's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm confused as to why the OP thinks that Lamar would even be on our radar after we just let go of a 3 year starter with basically the same skillset? I don't think we make the trade until draft night unfortunately and we will be on the edge of our seats. Wouldn't have it any other way. -
Who knows what the QB landscape looks like next year or the year after we have a few guys projected to come out. This QB draft class of Darnold and Rosen in particular has been touted for years. Then Allen and Mayfield popped up almost from obscurity and Lamar Jackson, Mason Rudolph, Lauletta, White and so on and so on. They could all be busts for all we know or people could look back and say this is the best QB draft since 1983 and the Bills blew it but be thankful we got such a good safety at 12 he really made a difference for the 5 years he played for us. We have to take a chance and go for who we feel is the best QB in the draft by all means necessary and then we can plug in all the players around him. I say we trade with the Giants and take our man at 2 and then figure everything else out. We have already filled allot of holes with free agency on our Dline and secondary. We need a wr, MLB and another corner really and more Oline depth.
