He really needs to get in touch with Brandon Marshall. Marshall went through a very similar situation and played in the league for a few years before things came to a head while in Miami and he finally was diagnosed and has continued on his career. He would be a great mentor. Johnny was an incredible college player and if he could ever translate that into the NFL after getting his head right he could be one of the greatest comeback stories of all time.

We might not have to tank. Depending on what we do at QB we may have a rough year next year. Especially if we draft a rookie and start him first day. We may not be able to replicate the success we had in 2017.

His accuracy from a guy who watches every minute of every game may have gotten worse. Many of his completions are off target and don't give the receiver an opportunity to make a play afterwards. His downfield passing seems like it has become way off the mark and they seem to drift out of bounds. His completion percentage stays as high as it does because he has been completing allot of screens to WRs and RBs. As a pure passer he is sub par and he doesn't break any defenses down. They crowd the line and slow down our run then we slowly plot down the field on a good drive hoping to find little creases inside of 10 yards. Captain 3 and Out.

With the league focused on safety players consciously trying to maintain possession on the way to the ground can cause injury you basically have to sacrifice your body and go down with two hands on the ball held tight against your body and hope it doesn't move. Many players have had the wind knocked out of them. You have no way to brace yourself going down to the ground. I wouldn't doubt concussions as well. Just something I think about while bored at work.

Sammy Coming Back???
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The little I watched Watkins in LA and followed him statistically gave me no reason to believe he has become the next Deandre Hopkins or AJ Green. He was not consistent and at times disappeared. That being said he still has the speed and decent hands with a deep throwing QB he could be dangerous. -

Honestly I would love to have Rosen pending him actually wanting to play in Buffalo which is a big ? -

And Somehow we draft JP Losman again. -
I think Foles would fit in just fine in Buffalo with Shady we have a solid run game. We do need to upgrade our o-line especially after losing Wood. Also we need to figure out who our WRs will be. He already has familiarity with Matthews if he sticks around. I don't think there is a QB in the league that wouldn't want to throw to Kelvin Benjamin dude has a huge catch radius. Plus Clay and O'Leary made our WR core this year allot better than people give them credit. It would just take someone capable of reading the defenses and actually releasing the ball on time to make them productive. We have already seen talent wasted in Buffalo with Tyrod at QB when we had Woods and Goodwin on the team as well as Hogan when Watkins was healthy he was a decent deep threat. 27 TDs in two years is by no means great and the yardage was sub par when will people stop trying to prop up Tyrod and realize that he is just a game manager that can run with the best of them. To compete in this league we need to score more points and take and complete a fair amount of shots down field. We also have to be able to come from behind to win games.

I couldn't figure out why he doesn't understand that Ertz caught the ball took three steps and dove how that's not a football move. If they overturned that I would of turned the tv off. Collinsworth was acting like there was no way that was a TD.

DeShone Kizer in Buffalo
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In seeing what little I did of him this year he looked raw and unfinished. I saw a few good plays and allot of bonehead plays. He wasn't ready to play and honestly shouldn't of played regardless if he was better than the other QBs he needed time to slow the game down and he was thrust into a spot with a team that has a losing mentality. Coming out of the draft allot of experts saw him being better than he has shown so far. -

Can you truly judge a rookie QB in Cleveland after one season is the real question. -
Brady's Legacy
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As much as I despise Brady for keeping the AFC East on lockdown since he became the starter. I cannot find any fault in Brady for losing this Super Bowl. He threw for 500 yards 3 tds and only had one fumble. I don't know what else he could of done in that situation. New England's defense from early in the season showed up and they couldn't even slow down Foles or the running game. Truthfully what was supposed to be a great defense from Philly never showed either. It ended up being one heck of a show and I really enjoyed it. Brady was not why the Patriots lost, yet it will always show that he lost that game. -
Nasty No Glove Nick
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nick O'Leary was a clutch TE for the Seminoles throughout his career and has always shown a knack for getting open and finding the soft spot in the zones. That being said he has not shown the ability to block and is a liability when asked to do so. It has become a tip of the hand with our team that when he is in we throw the ball. I think Daboll can work with him and improve his blocking to be at least adequate and then he can be on the field more hence improving his numbers. -
Incognito and Shady need to stay IMO. Great LG and RB don't just fall out of trees. I agree don't blow up the roster but we do need more cap space to make a great free agent play. We also have the draft capital to make some moves. I don't see Tyrod sticking around even though the Daboll hire made me second guess that. The truth is we don't have a clue what the Bills Brass are thinking and what their game plan is so far I have questioned some of their moves only to see a more chemistry ladened team perform better than expectations on the field. We have a huge opportunity this offseason to set the tone for the future in Buffalo I'm just glad that I'm not having to pull the strings.

Anybody that is blaming Cousins for not making the playoffs this year obviously didn't watch him play. They gutted his wide receiving core before the season only bringing in a disappointing Terrelle Pryor. His running backs were a joke all year. His defense was sub par. Yet Cousins fought tooth and nail for every yard he could.

LeSean on the Wall?

I meant that the team led the league in rushing in 2015-2016 -
Andrew Luck to Bills speculation/chatter
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Plus they have Brissett who can hold place until the Rookie gets in. They have allot of holes on that team and Luck draws a huge salary. Sounds crazy but who knows. All I know is that I would be buying his jersey immediately. -
LeSean on the Wall?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shady has basically been our offense for the last 4 years. He is the teams MVP and a huge factor in how they made the playoffs this year and led the league in rushing the last two years. At his age he still hasn't seemed to lose a step and often plays injured. I am all for him being on the wall probably the most talented player we have had since the Superbowl Years. -
The Cousins Plan
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The one thing we have going for us now to help sway Cousins is that we made the Playoffs with a far inferior QB and barely lost to a team that played in the AFC championship and gave the game away to the Patriots. If Cousins is looking for a ring he can definitely see an arrow trending up in Buffalo. -
Definitely a market for the XFL
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched what I could of the original XFL and it had some crazy ideas and revolutionary ideas like the Camera over the field which is now a staple. The coin toss was non existent they wrestled it up for the ball which I thought was a cool twist. It seems to me this time that Vince is trying to make it pure football and try to remove all the distractions that take away from the game. It seems viable to me because of the current climate in the NFL you may get people that want to get away from the Monster that is the NFL. He needs to be real careful on making sure that there is a quality product to watch and that it is still fun. The Stripper Cheerleaders although highly entertaining last time would probably be a tough sell this time. -
The Time is Now McBeane!
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rosen has that Deep ball Accuracy I love to see in the next level and looks head and shoulders more pro ready than any of the other prospects. That being said he is a bit of a prima donna and is already trying to sway Cleveland away from picking him plus he has had some rather controversial comments. That being said college players should make something. -
Pats create PI when they are losing
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the magic whistle that stops the play after the fumble and prevents a defensive td that would of made it a 17 pt deficit in the 4th quarter.
