I think we as fans should realize last year was a time to test things out and see what works. Go for broke, because we knew we were outmatched on our oline and needed every opportunity to run game clock and keep the other offense off the field. This year we will see a much more normal play calling and risk taking as long as our offense has improved as dramatically as it should. We played for broke last year with low expectations and a rookie QB

Powder Blue Chargers hard to beat

I would be thrilled to see him get 9 sacks, that's hard as a D-lineman. I just want to see him shrink the pocket and disrupt QB's timing. Sacks are great, pressures and TFL's need to be the norm. We need to really stuff the run and whoever he is paired up with needs to hold their own as well whether Star or Dirty Harry.

Zay Jones wins Bills' team training award
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just want to see us consistently move the chains and I think Zay has shown that his hands are getting softer and he can be a decent possession guy. Adding Beasley will be another nice underneath shifty wide out that the bills have been lacking for a while now. Having Brown and Foster flying down the field will give our big armed QB plenty of opportunity to take his shots. If we gameplan right who is the defense gonna key on. Having a superstar diva WR gives defenses a target and then you hope to have decent complimentary players to take the heat from. Having all complimentary players should give us allot of man to man and a good chance to spread the ball around. -
Full Intelligent Breakdown of DK Metcalf
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am in the school of thought that if we have a better offense that is on the field eating clock our defense as is will be very good. It's when they are on the field all day and wear down that they become susceptible. Improving our offense will improve our defense and keep them fresh. I like the direction of the team but I always like adding a playmaker or a guy with a specific skill set. DK has size and speed which can't be coached. Hands and concentration can be. -

how can you make any kind of prediction before the draft and free agency. This is just a waste of time. -
How long to close the competitive gap?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Ga boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This Front Office bought themselves time to build the team after overachieving and sneaking in to the playoffs year one. This last season was the full strip down and rebuild and we also had some bad luck with our O-line. This year should be a step in the right direction but will still take time for the new pieces to gel. I still predict an 8-9 win season and whether that is enough is out of our control. -
he's still inaccurate and runs too much in my opinion. Hopefully better protection and better weapons will reduce some of the issues and he can continue to work on his footwork and platform. I do love his intensity and leadership and willingness to sacrifice to make plays. His athletic ability is off the charts and if he can mold into more like Deshaun Watson than Cam Newton i would be thrilled.

I like the 6 4 guys that can run like gazelles. -
I thinks it is rather humorous that Barkley has one of the best statistical games we have seen out of a QB in a while and now has to sit on the bench and watch a rookie flounder and improvise and throw the occasional bomb that wows the crowd. I hope I am wrong and Allen sitting and watching while injured somehow sparks him to be better.

Kelvin Benjamin has checked out. Just bench him.

TD Benjamin oh wait he dropped it. How many times do we have to hear that this year. -
They are trying to win with a huge handicap of dead space and too many holes especially on the offense. We can't just go out and spend a ton of money on free agents to sure up the line. We don't have the cap space. This isn't all on coach and GM now if this persists into next year we need to question their competency. As of right now I understand the growing pains and foresaw this coming. It's no surprise when they had to patch a line and WR core together with insufficient funds that they suck. Adding Pryor may or may not pay off he has flashed at times and disappeared in others.

Why do new coaches overhaul rosters?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hard to see how Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper don't fit onto pretty much every system or team in the league. Obviously Mack was a financial dump and Cooper probably didn't see eye to eye with Chuckie. -
I actually like Daboll!
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As fans we are all in the same boat and have to continue watching the train wreck that is an offense play out the season. Focus on a stellar defense that we have built and you can start to get a little excited for the future. Even though Luck threw for 4 tds last week he barely had any yards. Our offense is giving up more points than our defense by turnovers and bad starting field position. If Daboll can get in the personnel that he needs to run the offense next year and still sucks then we can pass judgement until then the cupboard is bare. -
Watching Other NFL Teams Play
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Jerome007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You also have to remember that on offense we are very lacking in the talent department. Plus with a young QB its hard to run a complicated system like KC and Rams run with young QBs. Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan have so many options when they step to the line and can read defenses. We don't have the personnel or the coach i'm afraid to run the newer type of offense that has been shown to be effective. Allot of teams only air it out occasionally but have so much movement behind the line and the RPO's that you just pick apart whatever the defense isn't covering. I would love to see that type of quick strike option play in Buffalo and I believe Allen would thrive in it.
