  1. I think the Petty comparisons are off. Rudolph has a season more of starts under his belt and was more productive. Id love to have Rudolph, checks all the boxes just hasnt been as tauted by the media as the other five guys. One of only two guys in the top 5 or 6 that meets the Parcells critera. Very impressive Manning like interview there.
  2. Technically we wont know if he is or isnt a 1st round pick until April 26th. You dont know and I dont know, just different opinions. But I think working someone out at a position they have never played, in favor of a position they have played their entire career says a lot about how a team views that player. I dont imagine teams will be working out Minkah Fitzaptrick at quaterback just to get a feel, but again just my opinion.
  3. I think he should get a chance too. But, I think this should also speak volumes to the people who think he is a 1st Round Prospect at quarterback.
  4. He probably thinks that because its a pretty mighty trend for highly mobile quarterbacks to come into the league like they are the 2nd coming only to flame out after the 1st few years. RG3, Kaep, Vince Young to some extent Vick. Everyone is allowd their opinion but I seriously dont get the Lamar Jackson love on this board. I dont see it. Doesnt mean I am right, but I truly dont see it.
  5. A few things. There is literally no comparison between Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson. Cam still has the same issues he had in college but he is so physically imposing he can make up for it. Jackson cant. Secondly, there is no comparison between Jackson and Deshaun Watson. Watson was a high completion, high winning percentage quarterback who was already showing great touch on NFL throws. Jackson again is not that. If you actually watch the games, throw by throw, Jackson misses high a ton, makes bad decisons and has happy feet. He is amazingly athletic with a huge arm, but he is closer to Vince Young than Cam Newton. He seems like an intelligent young man so maybe he has a better chance than rock for brains. If he is the choice fine, but stop putting him in the conversation with Rosen and Mayfield. Also for anyone making this about race, stop its ignorant and proliferates a terrible message.
  6. Heard Lorenzo Alexander talking about him on the John Murphy show a few weeks back. Said he has great physical ability, but lacks in studying area. I believe they were comparing him with Preston Brown, and Lorenzo basically said you prefer to have someone like Preston who may lack a bit in speed but makes up for it with his study habits and being two steps ahead of everyone else mentally. Went on to say you dont necessarily get that from Zach.
  7. I am not arguing that. My point is if you're going to pay someone to run fast in an attempt to draw coverage you can do it for a lot cheaper than 10 million a year. Nope, just forgot to add the 1 in front of the seven, apparently just poor at math. But my point is I dont think he is worth the money, especially for the Bills.
  8. If you want to sign up for a wideout who makes up 13% of your salary cap for 10% of your offense, be my guest. I just think its nonsensical.
  9. If you showed up to work 81% of the time would you keep your job?
  10. Chiefs probably understand cornerbacks dont win games for them. And this guy, even though he can cover, cant tackle worth a darn and is a complete and utter head case. They traded away a guy who they may have only had for another year for one or more players they will have for four. They picked up a couple cornerbacks, he was expendable.
  11. I 100% agree with what you're saying. Watkins still is incredibly young and I think he is very talented. But my point here, without using statistics is that generally you're paying a 24 or 25 year old wideout a rookie contract while their talent is coming to fruition on the field and they mature as a worker and person off the field. Again Watkins is talented, but I wouldnt be willing to pay him a free agent contract in the hope he becomes the wideout his talent suggests he may be. This franchise has already spent way too much on him waiting for him to develop, I dont want to add tens of millions of dollars to our first mistake.
  12. You fail to mention Eric had started 28 games by the time he was 25 compared to the 52 for Sammy. Eric wasnt on the field for most of his first two seasons. Secondly I never said Sammy wasn't a talented player. That route he put on Revis during his secons year here is still one of my favorites ever. But talent without production doesnt mean jack.
  13. The guy is about to be on his third team in five years. Has played a full season once Has never hit double digit touchdowns Has went over a thousand yards once and we are still wondering if he is a legit number one why? He was a horrible mistake that set the franchise back. No clue why anyone would be waiting in line to bring him back here.
  14. Its rare for a QB of any size to "make it." I would also argue that Mayfield is better in every statistical category than Daniels, who you're making a comparison to strictly based on height. Most glaringly Daniels threw a very high rate of Interceptions, this wasnt the case for Mayfield.
  15. Wentz has seemed to turn out great, but I think we should let this play out a bit before we make him the standard. Granted he had a great year, but it ended just like his last year of college did, with injury. Three years from now we may be talking about him as someone who couldnt stay on the field. His tape was a lot of fun to watch but there were major questions on the guy, specifically he had one full year of starting and while he was a winner he wasnt overly productive against FCS level competition. I agree there probably isn't a player who has all the tools Wentz has, but it's way too early to say none of the quarterbacks in this class wont be as productive as Wentz at the next level.
  16. Disagree O'Leary has been a disappointment. He was a sixth round pick so the expectations shouldnt have been high to begin with, but I think he was more than adequate as a 2nd tight end last year.
  17. I agree. They will move him back to Defensive End. I think it's more likely Hughes is gone than Lorax.
  18. He's going to have to make the switch to H-Back or Running Back, if he gets drafted. I think he ends up going a lot later than most people predict. He was productive in college but really doesnt have a natural position in the the NFL. Think about a player like Dorin Dickinson who ran a 4.4 flat but really didnt fit into an NFL offense because he wasn't a polished receiver or especially good at blocking.
  19. Starting to think there is a chance Baker Mayfield ends up the 1st overall pick. Hit me over the weekend when the Browns announced they were hiring Scot McCloughan as a consultant for the draft. Immediately began to think back to comments he made about Mayfield being the quarterback he likes the most out of this draft class. ProFootballTalk had a this on their site this AM. Scot McCloughan on Baker Mayfield Could be 100% a smokescreen. Any chance you think the Browns take Mayfield #1 or #4?
  20. Not sure why they insist on having almost the same format year in and year out. Not worth the time it uses up Also lost all respect for the guy when it appeared he was making fun of homeless people at his wedding
  21. I will be amazed if he is starting somewhere next year. Stranger things have happened but I think a lot of us forget the Bills granted this guy permission to find another starting gig last year and not one team bit. Hence the reason he took the pay cut in the first place.
  22. Love his work ethic but its time to move on. It's gotten to the point where its almost like having no one under center. He doesn't throw interceptions because he doesnt throw much of anything. Thank you for your hard work.
  23. My favorite prospects I've watched and wanted the Bills to draft: Leonard Floyd: Georgia played him all over the field and at the time I thought Rex would love to have him Robert Nkemdiche: His film was amazingly fun to watch. A complete man amongst boys in College. Appears the whole "doesnt love football and is a weirdo" thing turned out to be accurate. Hau'oli Kikaha: Just ran all over the field with reckless abandon. Felt like another guy Rex could have used. Jake Matthews: Bills needed o-line help that year and his initial kick was a thing of beauty Deshaun Watson: Jury is still out and I honestly wanted to dislike him as a prospect but much like Mason Rudolph this year he had the intangibles all the very good quarterbacks had before him. Also was blown away by how good his back shoulder throw was for a prospect. Bryce Petty: Should have known better given the Baylor offense but he just seemed to have it all coming out. Austin Sefarian-Jenkins: Watching his film I was sure he was the next Gronk. Cordarrelle Patterson: What can I say. I got sucked in. Players I Hated and Didn't Watch the Bills to Touch: Odell Beckham: I will never forget Joe B. saying before that draft that if the Bills couldn't get Sammy they would draft OBJ. I said out loud in my kitchen "No God, not him" I thought he was a one route player who couldnt block. Christian Hackenberg: Much like Josh Allen this year, I didnt get the hype. Kid looked like a tire fire on film. Deshone Kizer: I am a Notre Dame guy and Deshone reminded me of EJ Manuel with turnover issues. Teddy Bridgewater: I still dont think Teddy is a good quarterback. I think Minnesota hid him most of the time. Mike Glennon: That neck. Looked like a statue on tape and that neck.
  24. Holy smile Batman. Now thats a life you know was well lived. R.I.P Robert, you did well sir.
  25. If this regime has any sense at all they will find a quarterback. Cleveland is an amazing example of drafting a lot of stud players at other positions and getting absolutely nowhere with them. Unless the stud Defensive Tackle can also throw the ball, then I would say your assumption is completely off point. If it is on point, and this staff doesnt find a quarterback they will be looking for a job in three years and we will be talking about which team that stud defensive tackle will go to next.
