  1. The highest their two first rounders get them is 7. Licht from Tampa has some ties to New England, so who knows. But even in that scenario New England will have to play wait and see.
  2. This. Let the overreactions begin. Tom Brady happens once in a lifetime
  3. I think it will take more than Gronk and #31. The last two tight end trades worth talking about were Jimmy Graham to Seattle which fetched a very low #1 (31) and Greg Olsen to Carolina for a 3rd (173). That puts Gronk's value at the very highest as a low 1st. Considering the guy has dealt with injuries and was openly considering retirement, he is probably more of a 2nd round value right now. Who knows, I guess it could happen but the more likely trade is to Detroit or New Orleans for a low number #1.
  4. Playing devil's advocate here. If any of the quarterbacks are left at #7, why would you give up picks to move up when the next five picks arent necessarily quarterback needy teams? The biggest threat at that point is Miami at #11 and I am not convinced they are as interested in taking a quarterback as they seem to be letting on in the press. And even if you do believe they want to draft one, why not trade to #9, or #10 instead?
  5. I will be very happy if they get to five and stop. It will cost a whole hell of a lot to trade to #5 and then to trade again to #2. In theory, the three trades you'd make to get you from #21 to #2 would have cost you the following: From #21 to #12 Cordy Glenn and 1st #21 From #12 to #5 1st #12, 2nd #56, and 3rd #65 From #5 to #2 1st #5, 1st #22, and 3rd #96 And thats if they dont overpay on the value chart, which we all know is not likely.
  6. If you get to #5 and trade up again the targets have to be Allen, Darnold, or Rosen. I love Mayfield, but I can't imagine he is the target if the Bills are trying like hell to get to 2.
  7. Second day in a row Ive caught an interview with him. Incrediby impressive. Wish him the best.
  8. I am more convinced now, than ever, that Allen is going #1. I dont think he should, but I am not paid to do that job. Allen to Cleveland #1 Darnold to Jets #3 Rosen to Broncos #5
  9. Totally disagree. I think the scenario CBS outlined is already overpaying. In your scenario they would be giving Cleveland what amounts to enough value to move up to number #2. I understand the spiel about it being a sellers market this year because of the quarterbacks, blah blah. In the scenario CBS outlined Buffalo is already over paying by a high second round value. In yours they are over paying by a 1st round value. 12, 53, and 65 is a much closer value.
  10. Never really understood the Bryce Petty comparisons. He is bigger, started more games and was more productive than Petty. The OSU Offense is wacky, but its a lot closer to Oklahoma than what Briles was running at Baylor when Petty was there. I think Rudolph is a incredibly underrated prospect and think he may end up going earlier than a lot of people think right now. He seems to have everything you'd like for in a Quarterback. The one knock I have on him is I dont think he fits into a west coast type offense.
  11. His play as a quarterback was a bad sign for a quarterback at the next level. I question anyone who considered him a first round talent to start with. Allen's play was also questionable but at least he had 6'5 240 to work with.
  12. Two things here. A) I would bet money that no one trades up for Lamar Jackson. B) The not being under center thing is incredibly overblown. How many snaps did Brady take from under center last year? And of those how many were actual passing plays?
  13. I dont disagree with you. But they also have a preference as to who the number one guy is. If that guy is different than the Giants guy, and you can get OBJ and your number one QB by moving down, you do it every day of the week.
  14. It's going to come down to the Browns and Giants. In my mind the most likely scenario is Browns Get: OBJ 1st (2nd) Giants Get: 1st (1) 2nd (33rd) 2019 3rd Rounder
  15. I am not 100% sure Cody Kessler isn't just as good as Blake Bortles. I think this is a very cheap way for the Jaguars to get a guy who could push Bortles to start and not have to use a legitimate draft pick. I think its a great move for the Jags.
  16. This probably ends up a win/win for both teams. But if Denver gets anything from Sua, even just in a reserve role, they ended up with a second round talent for a high 5th round price tag.
  17. Makes a whole ton of sense. Also would make sense as the guy they knew they could no longer get at 21 after the combine.
  18. It isn't only about his ability to play football, this is true. But if you think his ability to play has nothing to do with it, I would disagree. He was 11-24 his last three years in the league. At 11-24 you have to wonder if a guy is even backup material. When you're looking for a backup you want a guy who can win half of the games he starts, not 30%. If Colin Kaepernick was a superstar who could routinely get your team to the playoffs he would be in the league. Instead he is someone who would be competing for a backup position and garnering a ton of unwanted attention. Bottom line is fringe roster players dont get to be distractions, he isn't a special case and it isnt collusion.
  19. I cant see Denver taking a QB with Barkley still on the board if that ends up being the case.
  20. I think this is the case as well. Stay in the pocket and read the field in an efficient manner. Not hold the ball for three seconds and start running around until someone comes open.
  21. I think Benjamin ends up in the 11-11.5 Million dollar a year range.
  22. I think he is absolutely terrible, but I think he fits the mold of the quarterbacks drafted by the regimes Beane, Daboll, and McDermott have drafted historically. Big, decent win percentage with less of a emphasis on completion percentage and yards per game.
  23. I think you better add Allen to that list. I truly believe they have Rosen and Allen ahead of Darnold.
