  1. I am not 100% sure Cody Kessler isn't just as good as Blake Bortles. I think this is a very cheap way for the Jaguars to get a guy who could push Bortles to start and not have to use a legitimate draft pick. I think its a great move for the Jags.
  2. This probably ends up a win/win for both teams. But if Denver gets anything from Sua, even just in a reserve role, they ended up with a second round talent for a high 5th round price tag.
  3. Makes a whole ton of sense. Also would make sense as the guy they knew they could no longer get at 21 after the combine.
  4. It isn't only about his ability to play football, this is true. But if you think his ability to play has nothing to do with it, I would disagree. He was 11-24 his last three years in the league. At 11-24 you have to wonder if a guy is even backup material. When you're looking for a backup you want a guy who can win half of the games he starts, not 30%. If Colin Kaepernick was a superstar who could routinely get your team to the playoffs he would be in the league. Instead he is someone who would be competing for a backup position and garnering a ton of unwanted attention. Bottom line is fringe roster players dont get to be distractions, he isn't a special case and it isnt collusion.
  5. I cant see Denver taking a QB with Barkley still on the board if that ends up being the case.
  6. I think this is the case as well. Stay in the pocket and read the field in an efficient manner. Not hold the ball for three seconds and start running around until someone comes open.
  7. I think Benjamin ends up in the 11-11.5 Million dollar a year range.
  8. I think he is absolutely terrible, but I think he fits the mold of the quarterbacks drafted by the regimes Beane, Daboll, and McDermott have drafted historically. Big, decent win percentage with less of a emphasis on completion percentage and yards per game.
  9. I think you better add Allen to that list. I truly believe they have Rosen and Allen ahead of Darnold.
  10. I am with you on this. Its getting a bit silly. When is the last 3 way trade you heard of in the NFL?
  11. He isnt senile and he isnt wrong. If Jackson does well at the next level it will be fleeting and it wont be because of his arm.
  12. I have no problem with the Bills moving up to get Rosen at 6, if he is there but I dont want to overpay at 6 when you basically have no teams between 6 and 10 who need a quarterback. Dont overpay when you can afford to be patient.
  13. I agree. This is basically OBJ for a 2nd round value. Coleman has done nothing in the league except be hurt.
  14. So the Colts didnt trade us 3 because they didnt want to be outside the top ten, but they trade us 6? Also to get to six we shouldnt be giving up two 1sts. 12, 53 and a 4th.
  15. This. And Manziel really isnt a known entity on the field. His off the field situation was bad, but his sample size on the field is relatively small. I would assume a 25 year old former 1st round pick as a project is a little more enticing than a 30 year old quarterback who has started close to 60 games. They are totally different situations.
  16. 100% agree with you. Allen is a lot closer to the type of passer Dorsey and Jackson have historically coveted. I think he is the wrong guy, but I do think he is 1st on the Browns board.
  17. Do the Browns really need him? If I were the Giants I wouldnt trade him for anything less than a 1st round pick and let him sit out if he wants to use this power play. I think the perfect landing place for this guy is Seattle.
  18. Rex's defense wasn't as good as Schwartz's, not debatable. The end result for each of them was 15-17, so I wouldn't say either of them was necessarily killing it. The mistake was not finding a quarterback.
  19. Well you said yourself the guaranteed money was 49.5 million, he had 43 sacks while he was here. Is a sack worth a million dollars? Personally I wouldnt pay any player other than a quarterback 100 million dollars, so yeah I'd say it was both bad and pointless.
  20. Irwin James..is NFL.com for real with this garbage.
  21. If you had the choice between taking a guy that could start day one, and one who needed to sit a year to just get to the point of the 1st day starter, why would you ever draft the guy who needed to sit?
  22. I think its about time for the Bennett brothers to call it a day. The act is getting really old.
  23. As with everything about Allen, I feel like I am watching something different than everyone else. I didnt think he looked good at all.
  24. Exactly. You end up with a bunch of 6'5 230 guys who cant play.
