He's done the same for me. And I honestly get sick of all the race bs. But, I am also for equality and if a white announcer would have called Lamar Jackson a unicorn and then turned to Smith and said "if I see a qb who looks like you, I know I can play" his career would be over. Not to mention it would be the headline for every news outlet. The Smith incident never made a blip on the radar.

Forget who he was speaking about. But it was on the NFL Network Pre Game show. He said "They got a unicorn out here playing cornerback." Turns to Kyle Brandt and says "I don't care if I am 54, if they got a guy who looks like you playing cornerback I can play" Everyone just laughed that nervous wtf laugh. I was waiting for it to trend of Twitter. About 4 people brought it up, no surprise. He is a world class jerk.

How can we not be all in on Metcalf now?
thenorthremembers replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta watch the tape. He is fast, and big there was never any doubt about that. He also ran very limited routes in college, didnt show great hands, and wasnt required to do much blocking. I still think there are about five in this draft alone who show better on tape. -
Report: Raiders shopping Derek Carr

They have set a trend of not trading guys in the ACC. If he goes anywhere its Washington or New York. Washington makes the most sense to me as they don't have the picks to move up. -
2019 NFL Combine updates

Does anyone else see Cody Ford as a Tackle? Every time I watch him I see all guard but they keep pressing him as a tackle. Even during the Drills I saw guard. -
Marcel Dareus’ contract.

No. -
Just watched three games on Hockenson and to be honest I am a little surprised by all the Gronk and Kelce comparisons going on. He is definitely willing to do it all. But aside from having really good hands he doesnt stand out as an elite top ten talent. He is a good blocker, but he is also streaky at times, especially in the Penn State and Mississippi State games I watched (that Mississippi State defense was fast and nasty). He has some size but wouldnt say he plays big, in fact he comes across as a smaller H-Back despite being 6'5. I will be curious about the speed but he doesnt look like a 4.4 or 4.5 guy on film. I also didnt see crisp route running. I saw a guy who would sneak off an initial block and get wide open rather than getting open using route running skills. Three games doesnt tell the entire story, but I would be against the Bills taking him in the top ten.

Marcel Dareus’ contract.

Agree to disagree. I think the defense has a reputation on this board because they had a ton of sacks and a cool nickname. They were fun to watch, I agree with that. But I also think the defense benefited a ton by playing end of career Vick twice, Tannehill twice, Manziel, Bridgewater, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Jay Cutler. They also disappeared when they needed to pull it together against the Broncos, and 3-13 Raiders when the season was on the line. -

I remember this. Didnt turn out, but that was a seriously impressive combine. -
Marcel Dareus’ contract.

This is complete hyperbole on your part. 2014 was better in some aspects, they recorded more sacks and had a few more interceptions. However, last years team gave up less yardage a game, especially against the pass. Against the rush the difference is pretty negligible, the 2014 team has 2018 by about 8 yards a game. 2014 was not better in every aspect. Just the highlights. They werent even a higher ranked defense, in 2014 they were ranked 4th. In 2018 they were ranked 2nd. Again, its close and by no means was 2018 far better than 2014, but I would take Star every day of the week over the Captain Hat. -
Marcel Dareus’ contract.

The Bills had the second ranked defense in the league last year with Star, they were never that good with Dareus. Star also made 5 million less than Dareus last year. I doubt we ever have to worry about Star being suspended by the league because he was feeling sad and couldnt obey rules, drag racing, eating himself out of shape, or being investigated for assault. When I see the Dareus apologists on this board I wonder if I am the only fan who lived through his madness. He hasnt been anything more than an average DT since 2014. -
Marrone quitting wasnt on the Pegulas, that was on Doug Marrone. You really think that team was going to be any good with E.J. Manuel quarterback because Orton wasnt coming back and Tyrod never comes here without Rex being hired. Rex was a mistake, but he wasnt as big of a mistake as people on this board make out. He wasnt a 3-13, or 4-12 coach. They were still a decent team.

Personally feel like the Pegula's have done a good job with the Bills. They have been a better than average team, made the playoffs for the first time in 17 years, and seem like they have a decent leadership team in place. The Sabres are a different story, but I also think its incredibly unfair to lump the Bills and Sabres in the same boat. Mike Schopp likes to do this when the Sabres are doing poorly, "Oh these Buffalo Sports teams are terrible" and then likes to segregate them when the Sabres are winning. Rather than jump to conclusions, maybe this is exactly what the article says it is. Kim taking a look at the organization and saying its time for some new blood. We automatically assume these three people were great at their job. Face facts, we have no clue.

Crazy Wind Storm Coming

Pretty nasty winds here in Medina. -
He wasnt very good in college. Had a decent Freshman year and analysts lost their crap because he is big and from Penn State.

Karlos Williams conditionally reinstated by NFL

Looks like someone took a long leap to make this about church. -
I don't disagree here. The Steelers went from a team of team first guys to a bunch of prima donnas who were more interested in their brand than winning a superbowl. You'll see the outcome of that this year when Bell doesn't get what he wants on the open market and Brown spends the next two to three years being a shell of his former self playing with a worse quarterback.

Steve Tasker is horrible on One Bills Live
thenorthremembers replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the show. I understand the complaint, Tasker does make mistakes, however I enjoy his stories and his closeness to the former players. Hearing him talk about texting Thurman during the Sabres game last night was funny, and you get a lot of that with him. Murphy also isnt great, but he does have some great stories about former Bills and pre 1990's Bills teams. Its not a candy draft but its ok to me. -
Not for a tight end you're paying 9 or 10 million dollars a season. 70 catches is the norm for guys in that pay range. But again, Charles Clay didnt pay himself.
-
I guess. But Jason Croom had one less target than Clay this year and had a better year. Not sure Clay was ever going to be a 70 catch, 1000 yard, ten touchdown player. Guess we will never know. But aside from one Miami game he was never a deep threat or catch and run tight end.
