  1. One of the perks of having tix since 1961 and being #25 on the season ticket seniority list!
  2. NFL ticket exchange is the easiest and most secure - and will handle any refunds in the event a game is cancelled. They changed the format for browsing available tickets a few years so much harder to find the seats you might want. I generally post a few places Craigslist - but generally not great responses and a lot of flakes. Big advantage is no fees for seller and no fees for buyer. For example, if post a ticket for sale on ticket exchange at $200, buyer would pay $250, but seller pays 10% fee and would only get $180. Always make sure to use PAYPAL (not friends and family) as that is one of the few insured payment sources. I don't think Zelle or Venmo insure the transaction - sometimes ebay is successful. but charges 10-12% commission - There is stubhub, but I have not used and don't see any benefit to it over NFL Ticket Exchange - There is a section on TBD for tickets for sale where you can list Shameless plug - I have 2 to 8 tickets available for every bills game this year, all in section 111 ranging from row 8 to row 14. If interested DM me Go Bills
  3. Without Frank Reich - we don't go to 1 or 2 of our super bowls. As someone else posted, do you really want our season dependent on Fromm or Webb?
  4. No - without a good backup, and injury to JA, even if out for just a few weeks, or a positive covid test that keeps him out for a bit, would be catastrophic. We have a super bowl window - would hate to lose a chance at a superbowl for a 2nd round pick. As the Old adage used to say: The 2nd most important player on your team is the backup QB
  5. 1. A few things that stood out for me: 1. The percentage of passes on offense I think Daboll has come to the realization that with JA and our receivers - passing is the way to go and running will only be supplemental to keep teams honest Thus, I think we keep a lot of receivers to keep them all fresh and tire out the other team's DB's. We also ran a ton of screen, short passes, and bubble screens. It is a way to get the ball into the hands of the speedy receivers out in space. I think we have a great combo of weapons: Diggs and Beasley for ability / Kumerow and Davis for Size / and McKenzie and Stevenson for speed and excitement 2. Davis Webb onto PS 3 TO's in 3 possessions against 2nd or 3rd stringers should be a death knell. but Keep him on PS for his other non football skills. Sits on PS for a few years, and then becomes QB coach. I think Fromm also goes to PS to keep a roster spot available. 3.Hollister might be starting TE He looked so much better than knox and does not drop those ball. Maybe Knox should have practiced more with catching real footballs and less with ping pong balls 4. Bears are pathetic! Dalton is not a starter in this league, and Fields will be starter early in the season whether he is ready or not
  6. Love the write-up Watched the game on NFL game pass condensed: pre-season games are WAY TOO BORING even condensed. Could barely make it through w/out dozing off. Surprised anyone voluntarily pays to go to them
  7. Beane really seems like a really good, down to earth guy as well as being a great GM - a great personality fit for Buffalo as well
  8. Then there was Ernie Ladd (RIP) that went from Pro Football to WWF and excelled at both From Wikipedia Ernest Ladd (November 28, 1938 – March 10, 2007), nicknamed "The Big Cat", was an American professional football player and professional wrestler. A standout athlete in high school, Ladd attended Grambling State University on a basketball scholarship before being drafted in 1961 by the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League (AFL). Ladd found success in the AFL as one of the largest players in professional football history at 6′9″ and 290 pounds. He helped the Chargers to four AFL championship games in five years, winning the championship with the team in 1963. He also had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers. Ladd took up professional wrestling during the AFL offseason, and after a knee injury ended his football career turned to it full-time in 1969. As a professional wrestler, Ladd became one of the top heels in the business. For the majority of his career, he played a villainous character who would arrogantly taunt both opponents and crowds. Ladd feuded with many popular wrestlers of the time, including Wahoo McDaniel, André the Giant, Bobo Brazil, Dusty Rhodes, and Mr. Wrestling, before retiring from the ring in 1986. Ladd was inducted into the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame in 1981, the Grambling State University Hall of Fame in 1989, and the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995.
  9. Sorry, but your math is way off. That number is so big there is not even a name for it. That would mean he is worth is 3.5 E+17 He has enough $ to give every US citizen around $575.00
  10. I always thought that the long halftimes were very detrimental to us because 1) the long delay took away any momentum we were having 2) gave way too much time to the other coaches to make adjustments I think with a regular length halftime, we win against the Giants and the 2nd Cowboys
  11. I would not trade trubisky for draft pick(s). only for a player that could help us this year. he is too valuable an insurance policy
  12. Have up to 8 Great seats for sale for each game All section 111 2 - Row 8 on the aisle on the 50 2 - Row 9, 2 seats in form the aisle on the 48 yard line 4 - Row 14, 46 yard line Looking for "market" value Selling entire season or indiv games DM if interested
  13. What these stats don't measure is what the running back SHOULD have done. For example, there could be a gaping hole that would lead to a 20 yard run, but the RB did not see it, got hit at the line of scrimmage, broke a tackle, and gained 5 yards. With these stats, that would look like a great run, but it was really a terrible play.
  14. Around 15 years ago, on a Sunday afternoon, I walked into a really small mom and pop hardware store in Los Angeles, There were 3 people in the store: me, the checkout guy, and someone behind me in line The guy behind the counter had a small black & white TV watching football As I was checking out, the network switched to the Bills Game I asked him if I could stay and watch since I was from Buffalo. He responded: "I am from Buffalo too - from Tonawanda" The guy behind me said: "I am from Buffalo too - from Amherst" It turned out the guy behind me grew up around the corner from me, his sister was in my HS class, and his brother played on the same soccer team as me.
  15. This past may, I went to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming and was wearing a Bills' hat Over 2 1/2 days, I received 11 different "Bills" comments Most were "go Bills"; one or two "Josh Allen is great"; and one "This year we are going to win it all" People were from or went to school in Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse, and there were a few random Wyoming JA fans
  16. Wasn't there a baseball player who always adjusted his cap when he was going to try to steal a base?
  17. if you don't factor in the # of games/minutes played with a Buffalo team, you could add the following HOF'ers to the discussion of best Brave ever Nate Archibald - 0 games / 0 minutes / 0 points Moses Malone - 2 games / 3 minutes / 0 points Had we not made trades based on $, we would have had possibly the best starting front line in NBA history with 3 HOF'ers: Dantley / McAdoo / Malone
  18. Thanks for the correction on Lou Piccone - sorry (but it still stings) On Bruce Smith, it was the REGULAR season game against the Bengals that year not the playoff game "There also was talk that Smith was battling a bad case of the flu that day. He has refused to address the subject specifically." Thanks again for correcting. Sorry - a few people corrected me that I had confused a few games - those were not the game
  19. The Bills are the NFL's official "red white and blue"!
  20. That delay of game on 4th down that nullified the 1st down completion to Lou Piccone still bothers me (and that Bruce Smith was out because had flu and had not his flu shot)
  21. I always separate OJ the player from OJ the person ... I grew up watching OJ, and aside from Jim Brown who was before my time, I don't think any other RB in NFL history comes close I think he had the greatest moves ever by a RB - only one who comes close is Barry Sanders. He had the most unique running style. You could watch videos of OJ's runs with the names, numbers, and uniforms blanked out, and you would still know it was OJ When you watch the video posted, keep in mind that those are not CAREER highlights but just one season! Everyone talks about his speed, but people forget how big and strong he was, and he was an unbelievable kick returner until he got injured returning a kick (against Cincinnati?) I think 75 was greater than 73 because of his receiving yards. Remember in those days, RB's were not catching passes like today
  22. One of the craziest plays I ever saw is at 45:33 At Boston, a fan sneaks on to the field and on last play of the game knocks down the sure game winning TD pass
